In hindsight was relegation good for the club?
Holden McGroin replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
I dont think Colo would have had many takers considering the fee we paid and wages he is on. Fair play to him though. I love the guy now. -

I dont want to tempt fate here but I wonder about previous injury crisises (is that even a word?). Was it down to players just not wanting to play at the time? The amount of muscle injuries was unreal at certain points. -
Oh yeah. Nah, you can keep him. We can have a spare seat on the bench.
-
We could actually field a decent team of 11 englishmen (+ a subs bench) --------------Harper Simpson-Sol-Willo-Saylor Routledge-Barton-Nolan-Guthrie ---------Caroll-Ameobi Subs: Forster, Perch, Raylor, Smith, Best, Ranger

When you expect us to win is generally where they will let us down. Time to change that. Starting tonight.

I dont think he is doing to well at spuds. He cant get a game when Dawson, King and Woody are injured so he must be doing something wrong.

How tall are you and what weight are you, Sugartits?

Not sure about that. -

This thread is getting pretty gay. -
I dont think Pennant has been anywhere near an England squad on ability alone. Its interesting to see the media wanting him to play though despite being a bad boy. I suppose they will just use it against him when he has bad game. Barton should be in contention as well but I think he has too much of a past.
-
The joke is blatantly on him with that. The biggest failure of his career and he names something after it as a kind of desperate and pitiful 'aha, but I had the last laugh' gesture. Really though, if someone wanted to get rid of you so badly that they'd spend several million pounds to do so, you'd hardly want the constant reminder unless you were as deluded as Sam Allardyce. He blatantly thinks being a good manager is about crunching numbers, performing clinical analysis and pretending that you have a well conditioned squad - under his stewardship our team were obviously far from well conditioned despite him harping on about the opposite with his team of sports physicians, conditioning coaches, nutritionalists and whatnot. Anti-football Allardyce, whom in reality we were all glad to see the back of after the dross he subjected us to. Casa St. James indeed. You go girl.

It would have been goal of the season if that went in.
-
Shit ref. As is Styles. What happened to Uriah Rennie?
-
When does the England squad get announced? He must be in with a chance this time around.
-
Manc-Mag has gone all soft and gooey eyed.

Sagna was quicker and stronger than him. The Arsenal forums are saying that he had a tough game. If only Jonas had an end product. He'd genuinely (no joke) be a world class player.
-
I can actually see this being really tight. I think Carroll will have his hands full with Samba and Nelson who are both big & strong. Good test for him and the team.
-
We'd be joint top with the extra 8 points from Wigan, Stoke and Blackpool not to mention being unlucky at Man City. I suppose Arsenal could say that same thing about their defeats to us and WBA. Funny old game.
-
He is supposed to be thick as fuck. Through some sort of link my mate went to his flat (in Newcastle) and then for a few drinks with him a months ago. He said that he is vacant.
-
Its been speculated that they do and here is confirmation from his twitter account:
-
Because he'd have been wasting his time. I know for a fact that, unless the club is sold, Given won't come back here in a million years. I was talking about Wenger,
-
The GK is an odd one. All he has needed now is for ages is someone remotely reliable. Why he didnt go for Given, i'll never know.

Whats your thoughts on the upcoming game Billy ? You'll win. Although we've won yesterday, we're playing shit and rarely have the ball. And we can't rely on getting away with a player punching the winner into your net yet again. Shola will probably score a couple, and your midfield will run rings around ours. You may complain about Nolan, but he's better than anything we have in that area. It is a case of keeping in touch, and then hoping the Indian chicken farmers take over and give us money to get a decent midfielder, and maybe a striker. Whats the deal there Billy?....if/when it goes through is that the end of the Jack Walker Trust at Blackburn? Yep. They have been keeping the club going without any investment in the squad, and have had the club up for sale for years. Hence why we have been getting increasingly inactive in the transfer market. It is not known whether board members like John Williams will stay on or not. However, the VH group have been hanging around for ages, and the sale has been 'imminent' for weeks. P.S. 'Casa St. James'. Not classy at all. What Blackburn forums do you frequent? i just want to get a vibe from your fans.

surely a young lad would do that job. eg Kadar

The only thing "off" when he first arrived was his passing. He seems to have ironed out the stray passes recently. I dont recall him ever been roasted (yet) by a player whereas I've seen the likes of Evra get the run a round.
