I think we are writing him off a bit early here. His injury record is a big concern for me. I’d like to see him after a run of games in the same position when fully fit. I’d rather he was in the team than Miley at the moment (although that might not be the case in 2 years time)

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Aye, but you know PSR will be abolished as soon as Chelsea get in trouble. -
I read on Twitter that he has been playing injured for a couple of months now. He needs injections to get through games and an operation in the summer. if that’s true then admire him for not wanting to let the team down. Playing injured is a thankless task as his performances will get picked apart and there is nothing he can do.

shouldn’t this be in the General Conversation thread? 😉

I’m happy with that. Providing he doesn’t play for England.

Anthony Gordon Handsome Winger Man

Aye. Barnes could at least play football, even if his best days were behind him. He was technically still good and pretty strong. -

It’s just an all round shite argument really. Most of Maxis games were under Bruce who was a terrible, defensive coach. Maxi was a joy for us to watch in a dark time for the club. He didn’t fit into the Howe press so was released for a more appropriate player. I genuinely wish him the best. I don’t get the slagging off. -

Yeah. I did the first episode then gave up. It must be a slow burner type… -

Interstellar is superb. I rewatched it last week. I also watched The Martian as well, after I read the book a few years ago. Both the book and movie are good. -
There is the Gemmill curse.

Yeah. The defending will get better with age. He was a winger as a youngster apparently.
-
Expect Man Utd to pick up some points off the back of this now.

He has lots of potential. If he can become more aggressive defensively then he has a very high ceiling. He can break lines at ease and has pace an power to burn

Last season it would have been game over with a 2 nil lead at half time. Not so sure this season. Next goal is vital. -

If we take stock of the season now we’ve had some memorable times Smashing Man Utd away, beartng Man City in the cup, playing Cl football, destroying PSG, nearly winning in Paris, mackems, sheff utd away. Etc We have been knocked out of cup v Chelsea away in the quarters of league cup, will most likely get knocked out of quarters in FA cup v Man City and still have a chance of qualifying for Europe despite an unprecedented injury crisis. I personally think it’s been a good season when you take a short look back. Think of where we were 2 years ago. If we qualify for Europe I think it will be an amazing season but if we don’t we’ll have learned and be better next season.- 314 replies
