Looks like a great game, and you've done unbelievably well. I don't think I would get anywhere near that much success with the restrictions you've placed on yourself there. The bank balance must be looking decent if you've not signed anyone for a few seasons? EDIT - You really need a new skin and some updated facepacks mind! Looks far too dull!

Out for the first 3 months of the season following shoulder surgery. Combine this with the knee injury, and then jaw injury from last season, he's missed a canny bit of football in the last 9 months. Let's hope he can make a full recovery, and the surgery doesn't effect his pointing ability...

Go into the editor and select the correct database that you want to edit. Go to Clubs and select Add. The fill in all the details (name, finances, etc.) You should probably create a person who will be your Chairman and maybe a Director as well, and what you give them in terms of resources, etc. will determine how much money they'll have to back you up with. Also I find it helps to make your new club their favourite club, so they'll likely not want to leave. You'll also need to create a new stadium and selct this as your club's stadium. In terms of entering them into a league you just need to choose the league they're in and make sure you take a team out so that the number of clubs in that league are what they should be. That's all you need to do to make sure the fixtures, etc are not messed up. You can set a parent / feeder club in your club's details if you want. You'll also need to create your club's strip and colours, etc. When choosing the club's Reputation (0-9999 I think) will determine the club's pulling power and so on. I think NUFC are around 6250 at the minute, so you need to figure out what size of club you want to create. I've probably missed something out like, but that's pretty much the basics.

That strip is horrid mind...

Ben will be happy...

It's probably 1 for every 10,000 supporters they had when they were in the 3rd division.... MASSIVE club you know!

The official one that comes with the game. You'll find it in your Program Files - Sports Interactive - Football Manager 2010 - Tools - Editor (I think!). It's quite user friendly to be honest and you'll just need to remember to kick one team out the league that you're wanting to join.
-
Not too bad really, using the editor is quite easy to be honest. You obviously need to create the club, stadium, and you're probably best off creating some decent board members. It's quite good creating the kit colours and design and stuff like that too I find, but that might just be me!

Have created my own club, put them in League 2 and going to see how long it takes me to get to the top league and challenge. Gave myself a fairly weathly owner, not a "suggar daddy" though, but no back room staff or any players. The game give you a bunch of fake players to start with but I'm gonna sack them off and start the team from scratch.

I'm quite sure it's a picture on the wall of the club shop of fans walking up to the ground. 2003-05 kit I think.

Managed to finish 4th which is great, gonna be interesting to see who I can attract next season.

Gold written all over this thread like. I've met a few people on here when I briefly attended some pre-match piss ups a few years ago. A canny bunch to be fair, Alreetlike (Jill) is the dodgy one that you need to be careful around mind, and her away record is something that would bring a grown man to tears. Oh aye, the "Head of the Scottish Mags" as he claimed to be, on the train back from Hull away 2 seasons ago, is a proper nob, if you're reading (assuming you can that is...).

Moisterising day and night and the results can be amazing. Aye, I'm a fan of the simplicity of the 2007 version, and a lot easier on the eye. I can't believe people have their games without at the logos, crests, etc. It looks so bare without them I think.

I've got quite a good game going at the moment (I'll post some screenshots up later). Started with the new updated with NUFC in the Premier League and not a great deal to spend, £7-8m I think with expectations to avoid relegation. Sign Yannick Djalo (800k), Canares, Uruguayian centre half from Barca who was transfer listed (£2.4m), James Rodrigez (£2m) who is a young Columbian who my scouts were raving about. Also signed Jordan Spence and Danny Wilson, who look like they could be top class in a couple of years. Sent Vuckic and Ranger out on loan to Hartlepool, where they both played quite well. Ashley sold up in October time but sadly no mega rich owner came in like I've had happen previously, however he did make £16m available in January so I signed Vukcevic from Sporting Lisbon (around £6m) and Van der Vaart from Real Madrid (£7m). I played the very fashionable 4-2-3-1 formation which worked very well, with either Carroll or Djalo up front, Jonas played brilliantly on the left and Routledge was consistanly solid on the right. Turned down a £15m bid from Fulham for Enrique, who got upset at the time, but the good performance by the club in the league pulled him around. Finished 10th overall, much higher than expectations and the board were delighted, a new 4 year contract soon followed. Was give £22m for expectations of a top half finish in the new season. Somehow manage to steal Alexis Sanchez for £12m, and got Keita from Barca for £2.3m. Also signed Canares, from Real Madrid, 19 yeard old who looks like he could be a world beater in a few seasons. A few others I can't quite remember now but will have a look and get some screenshots up. 23 or so games in and I'm 5th in the league, after being top for a period in October, and I've made it to the Carling Cup final after a semi final victory against the mackems. I've got Burnley in the final who knocked out Chelsea on penalties! Would love to finish in Europe and hopefully win the Carling Cup, and hopefully the board would really back me to push on even further.

From .com Recent speculation surrounding transfer moves for old boys including James Milner, Charles N'Zogbia and Scott Parker (plus mentions of Jermaine Jenas, Habib Beye, Sebastien Bassong and Damien Duff) prompted us to ask whether any sell-on clauses existed in the deals that took them from SJP. In the case of Milner at least it seems not, with his agent Mick McGuire telling journalists that Newcastle agreed to drop such a clause when holding out for the £12m that Villa eventually stumped up. At least we were nice enough to let them pay in instalments though eh!

Still top by a couple of points. my only defeat was 4-0 away to Rangers. Hopefully I can hold on to the league and win a cup in my first season. I only signed Tafer on loan from Lyon in January and sold a few players. Saving my money for champions league next season. However I'm now away for a week with work so i'm going start a new one. Just not sure who with yet. Go for NAC Breda!
-
Started a new game with the English and Dutch leagues. Decided to give NAC Breda a go for a bit of change and I really enjoyed the first season. Had £900k to spend when I started and about £5k per week on wages spare, with expectations of a respectable league position. Also in the UEFA Cup 2 qualifying round, with expectation to "Enjoy the experience". Started the league really well and was between 6-8th until November, when the small squad and UEFA Cup run took its toll. My only signing was Yannick Djalo from Sporting Lisbon and luckily he was in great form all season. Recovered well after Christmas (after a month long break when the squad could recover) and really kicked on in the league. Beat Ajax home and away, beat PSV 5-2 at home and Feyernood 3-0 at home. Come April I was with an outside chance of the title but a couple of disappointing draws meant I finished 4th in the end. UEFA Cup run ended in the first group stages but the board and supporters were more than happy with that. My only signing, Dajlo, got top scorer in the league and was announced as the signing of the season. The board offered me a new 4 year contract and my reputation is up to "Continental". Still haven't seen what the expectations and budget will be for next season but I might hang around for one more season to see how far I can take them.

That one is very 01-02 style, which is never a bad thing imo.

He's got the sack and it's only November.... needless to say I've applied for my old job back, despite being top of the league with Man Utd. Should I seel some players before I leave just to mess them up?

He'll be first up to lift the trophy tomorrow!
