No, my post indicates that I understood the thought process that Shepherd had at the time he appointed him. he appointed him without the backing and approval of his fellow [major and bigger] shareholders ? I don't think so. Never suggested he did.

It's also been pointed out that Nicolas Anelka is also a moody twat. Does that exclude him from playing for top clubs on the same grounds ? Anelka is a vastly better footballer than N'Zogbia. You evidently didn't read my post properly. I did. I think N'Zogbia is a talented player and is worth the effort too [you didn't read mine because I said this] just like Laurent Robert also was. You were lucky if you got 10 minutes of Robert's brilliant potential in the space of 4 or 5 games. Without question the most frustrating player we've had in the last 30 years.

I don't miss the point at all. By appointing Souness your precious Shepherd confirmed that he felt there was an attitude problem in the dressing room which needed dealing with (he said as much publically at the time as well). You didn't have to be well educated to work out which two players were the prime culprits.

To justify having such a moody, petulent tosser on your books his football ability must seriously compensate. You can argue the toss with Bellamy for that one, but not N'Zogbia. The fact he ended up at Wigan and not 'Arsenal' spoke massive volumes.

As much as I thought Souness was a complete wanker, the board HAD to back the manager (whoever he may be) over the player in this instance. It would have been a dangerous precedent had events turned out as you suggested. That said we were a poorer team for his departure and I'd be behind him coming back. You have to back your managerial appointment. But having said that, they had a case for sacking Souness when he assaulted an employee on the training ground. Which they should have done when the opportunity presented itself. How many times would Brian Clough have been sacked for lamping a player during training?

I side with him because he is a talented footballer, and recognise he is just one of those players who needs good managerial handling. I'm the first to also recognise motivation comes from within, but people are different. You have to decide if someone is worth the extra effort, and I think that he is. Bollocks he's distinctly average with a massive ego. Given and Bellamy I'd have back here like a shot. Insomnia? No fucking way.

Neither would Dan Gosling. Your whole fucking existance is a woosh.
-
If we get him he's the attacking midfielder with the creative mind we lack. We'll just need to keep him sweet.

Neither would Dan Gosling.

Siding with N'Zogbia who was a petulent little fuckwit in his last month is crazy even by your standards.
-
It's definitely him IMO

And manager. I query that view somewhat. He came in for 6 weeks at the end of the season when we'd already been through 3 managers, morale was possibly the lowest I've ever known it at the club and he had zero experience. I know people will immediately say that Keegan had the same issue back in 1992 but back then the fans were not in direct opposition of the board, Keegan had twice as long to sort out the mess and, more importantly in my mind, he had the opportunity to spend money - without the acquistions of Kilcline & Sheedy we may not have stayed up. Ask yourself if anyone else with zero experience would have been able to turn things around in those circumstances. I'm adamant they couldn't.

The longer this is going on, the more bridges are being burned by OM. If it wasn't for the fat shit we have running us, I could see it being a permanent deal rather than just a loan one.

Same here - when my lass had the laser treatment on her eyes the consultant was Chinese Scouser. Couldn't take him seriously. BTW are there any connections (apparent from political POV) between the Sun and the Torygraph? I find it a bit odd a scouser posting shit from that paper.

Team America, fuck yeah!

Fulham have admitted interest. Mark Hughes is like the fucking piped piper to Welsh rat boy. He'll end up at Craven Cottage IMO without a shadow of a doubt.

Caulkin reckons Sunderland, Everton, Newcastle & Celtic are all interested in taking him on.
