Same here mate, the thought of splash back from someone else's piss isn't a nice thought
  2. Haha I can instantly tell with anything by Gervais whether I'll like it or absolutely hate it within the first 10 minutes... it's a skill I have
  3. Watched 10 mins and thought it was utterly dreadful!
  4. Could potentially ruin what has been a great program in it's 2 previous series I think. Man I hate Gervais!!! "Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are once again sending their best mate off around the world but this time he’ll have Warwick in tow. Karl, who has been nominated for a Bafta for series two, moaned of his new companion: “I don’t know how it will work out. “Honestly. Edmund Hillary had that Tenzing fella, Ben Fogle had James Cracknell. I’ve been given an Ewok.” But boss Ricky Gervais insisted: “Karl once said to me that opposites attract. “Warwick Davis is sociable, hard-working and never complains. They should get along fine.” An Idiot Abroad: The Short Way Round will follow Karl and Warwick on a 5,000-mile journey from Venice to Eastern Europe, India and China, where they will get stuck into different cultures and traditions. As well as focusing on Karl’s observations, it will also see Warwick discover how each country accepts little people". http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/4279357/Warwick-Davis-to-join-Karl-Pilkington-on-new-series-of-An-Idiot-Abroad.html
  5. Tbh I've never really considered going to Germany for a holiday... maybe I should look in to it? Have a mate who's been and loved it, but I think the fact my wifes dutch parents go caravaning there always puts me off a little
  6. I love Prague but me and the missus have already been twice unfortunately... plus been to Krakow & Tallinn too so might give eastern Europe a miss for a while
  7. Haha aye I know that feeling! Thing is that although it's to develop your core muscles it works pretty much every single one in your body, so for me it's wrecked my bad upper back due to some of the things I had to do. I'm just hoping that in a few weeks I'll be a little stronger and more used to it so that I don't feel so bad after... I mean I went on Monday and I'm still sore as hell today!!!
  8. Aye Barca's really cool, never been to Valencia but I know my missus didn't like it when she went so probs woudn't be able to convince her to go back
  9. Cheers mate quite like the log cabin & fire idea... will have a look in to it
  10. The missus and I were planning on going to New York for a week in December but I don't think we'll be able to afford it sadly. She's mentioned Paris but I'm not 100% convinced it'll be all that fun and more of a weekend rather than a weeks type of holiday (could be wrong tho?). Also it'll be wet and cold just like here so not keen for that reason. Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere quite cultural but also where the weather wont be rank?
  11. Haha yeah thats the feeling I have just now! If anyone's a member at FX on the Team Valley then the class is on a Monday at 7pm... feel free to come along as I'm totally outnumbered by women (not fit so it's not a good thing). I'm the only bloke there apart from some gay guy who looks like the blonde dude from dumb and dumber!
  12. Haha yeah I'm not exactly going to be throwing up any surprises really am I?
  13. For the NE HUB Blog I decided to focus on who the greatest player from each of the big 3 NE clubs was, and started with Newcastle United. Please have a read and let me know what you think. Not the easiest of things to write so am sure there'll be plenty of stuff I could have included but didn't, or maybe some mistakes, and so as always I look forward to your comments and if I got any facts wrong please let me know so I can quickly change them http://thenortheasthub.com/blog/part-1-20-years-of-the-premier-league-awards-newcastle-united/
  14. Due to having a completely ruined back the physio I went to see recommended I do Pilates. Now being a man I decided that was a stupid suggestion and I'd just wait for it to get better - which sadly it didn't so eventually I decided I'd give it a go. I've been to 2 classes so far and thought it'd be a waste of time, and that seeing as middle aged women seem to do it then it'd be piss easy. I was wrong!!! It's not so much that it hurts at the time (it does a bit), but the fact that I am dying for about 3 days after! Has anyone else done it and also suffered the post class aches, pains and stiffness?
  15. Might have to wait for that to come out on DVD now as doubt I'll get to see it at the cinema... although saying that we have Netflix so might have to wait until 2030 before I get to see it!
  16. The other half bought a couple of vouchers for the cinema as one of my birthday presents, and so we decided to make a night of it on Saturday and watch a film at the flicks before moving on to Bar 28 for a bit of groupon food action (yes we are very rock and roll - thank you for noticing). It was a toss up between the Hunger Games and Cabin in the woods, with my other half preferring to see the former but relenting on seeing the odd looking horror film due it being part of my birthday present from a couple of weeks ago. A bit of congestion due to the Toon playing saw us hastily running to our seats just in time for the start of the film, and for the next hour and a half I sat there somewhat confussed by the weird and wonderful happenings going on in front of me. This film is pretty much like nothing I've seen before which is both a good and a bad thing... it reminded me a bit of The Evil Dead in places, and had some really odd moments, some really funny moments, some really B movie moments, and some shit your pants jumpy moments. Has anyone else watched it and what did you think? I think I really liked it, but it left me feeling a little dazed by the end. It's certainly something different to the usual tried and tested horror films we sit throught ime and time again, and despite the very generic title it's got a hell of a lot more layers to it than just a teen horror set in a cabin in the woods. Overall I thought it was very good, but very weird!
  17. Sounds good Good going to get that far through it too! Let me now if any publishers pick it up.
  18. Thanks mate, what's yours about? I only write mine during the summer when it's really quiet at work, can't do it unless I have a few weeks where I can just concentrate on that and nothing else. Sadly it looks like this summer won't be as quiet so not sure I'll get the chance to add to it. I can't write it when I actually have work to do as by the time I get home my creative juices are completely gone
  19. It's a sci-fi epic set in a future society where reality tv companies rule the world. It also looks at how we have become desensitised to violence and how the most ridiculous of low end society are the stars of tv. Plus lots of gun fights, explosions and swearing Think Geordie Shore meets The Running Man lol
  20. Yeah exactly, but it's totally double standards. I'm going to make sure I win it now so that I can then bitch and moan to the papers about being disqualified for being the wrong gender.
  21. I wouldn't say it's immediately funny, more once you get to know the characters you start to warm to the comedy aspect of it. It's a bit like Him and Her (dunno if you've seen that show?) where it's about their interacation with each other that's funny rather than any stand out slapstick jokes
