Who are the very best song writers ever and why? I'm not looking for things like Pete Doherty who despite me loving his work before he totally disappeared in to a bloated drugged up mess isn't a 'true great'. The 2 that have the most impact on me are: Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) Thom Yorke (Radiohead) Mainly because I'm a miserable fucker and like depressing music lol In all honesty though both have / do combine a real raw and fragile emotion in their songs, along with them being a bit odd lyrically. I know Nirvana don't get a lot of love from many people, but for me Kurt Cobain was and is my favourite and something just resonates with me when ever I listen to Nirvana's music (not all of it, as with all bands some of it is just utter crap). So who sits at the very top of your list of song writers that when you listen to their music or read their lyrics it has a real impact on you?

Yeah been looking on Ice Lolly tbh and there are some excellent deals on there... am just trying to find something a little more cultural than the week in Bodrum that seems to be within our price range. Might have to plump for somewhere like this though and maybe hire a car to get around and see some of the less touristy sights

Just wondering if anyone has come across good late deals for holidays towards the back end of the season in recent years, or is this a thing of the past now? The missus and me are looking for a week away and it seems places like Turkey & Cyprus are already quite cheap for Oct, but better destinations like Marrakech and Sicily are still out of our price range. So do late deals still exist, or is the price as is now probably going to still be the same a few weeks before?

Always a tough one this type of situation... I mean basically you want to end it on good enough terms that you can still sleep with her occasionally, but not such good terms that she thinks that there's a chance of you getting back together, and also if she's bat shit crazy decides to not tell you she's come off the pill & tries to trap you. Basically the only option would seemingly to be kill her, keep her body in the freezer and just defrost her from time to time for some lovin.

Got one built on the back of my house, kind of to make an all in one kitchen / dining area... so far I've not noticed any ad's popping up so fingers crossed it was a good investment

Praise the lord! I hate the smug fat git... his show has become so boring and he annoyes the hell out of me. The wife sticks it on in the car in the mornings as apparently talksport isn't suitable (women eh?!) and more often than not I just end up switching the radio off all together. Apparently he'll be replaced with Nick Grimshaw who wouldn't be my choice but tbh I'd rather anyone than Moyles! Today is a good news day

Went to Rice flame bar and grill in the Metro Centre on Saturday night... not bad, bit of a weird mix of food with everything from sushi to mexican dishes. All a bit confussing tbh as no way am I tucking in to sushi and following it up with a beef chilli. Food was actually pretty decent though tbf, only thing I had a problem with was I ordered a jasmin tea (designate driver), and received it in a tiny almost espresso cup... I then asked if I got refills and was told no. £2.50 for the smallest cup of tea ever?!! Total rip off. No real atmosphere either but I guess that's what you expect from eating in the Metro Centre. Would say it's fine to go for some food if you're in the Metro Centre, but don't expect amazing ambience.

Cheers mate, yeah it's good to try new things but I definately agree that finding a style and developing it is the best way to become proficient in a particular area. No harm in occasionally dipping in to another style from time to time though, and I reckon photographing anything is better than just sitting at home bemoaning the lack of a model to shoot.

Had intended to but didn't wake up till 11:15am on Saturday so didn't make it down sadly

The missus was involved in a mini launch of it for celebs and locally important people and as such got a full on slap up meal & drinks for free. Said it was the best steak she's ever eaten.

The wife has been a few times and says it's top notch... Las Igunas isn't it?
