  1. Thanks for just confirming that you indeed know nothing about music. Foo Fighters better than Nirvana? Fuck me I've read some mad comments on forums before but this is right up there! Next you'll be telling me Beady Eye are better than Oasis! One dimensional grunge? Just shows that you've never really listened to them, gone through the albums, listen to and read the lyrics or really done anything than listen to a few singles on VH1 whilst walking around the house singing at the top of your voice about not wanting to be someone's 'Monkey Wrench'
  2. In the same way that it's cool not to like them because he was a heroin addict, or just because they were sucessful etc. Nirvana were a great band, their pop hooks and odd plus sometimes haunting lyrics are an amazing mix. It might not be to everyone's tastes but Kurt Cobain was a great song writer. Yes there's a lot of what can be described as just 'noise' in some albums, but there's a huge amount of brilliance in a large portion of their songs. People rave about the likes of Noel Gallagher etc, but Kurt Cobain was in a different league to people like this.
  3. Nirvana: About a girl - Bleach Every song pretty much on Nevermind Heart Shaped Box - In Utero Rape Me - In Utero Dumb - In Utero Pennyroyal Tea - In Utero All Apologies - In Utero You Know You're Right - Unreleased Old Age - Unreleased Sappy - Unreleased All the above songs are better than anything Foo Fighters have produced. You quite clearly know absolutely nothing about music. I don't mind Foo's btw, it's just they don't even come close to most things Nirvana did.
  4. Aye seen a fair few people wanting Freezers, Fridges etc... cheeky gits :-D Best one I saw that someone was giving away though was 'suitcase with broken leg'. Do suitcases have legs, or is does the owner just give you it and then take a baseball bat to your knee?
  5. Cheers lads.. so basically in the top 2 of the 2nd page for everyone which is pretty damn good considering I did all the SEO myself!
  6. Can someone please search for the following in google (if you are logged in to Gmail or google + you'll need to sign out first as screws with the results otherwise). Wedding photographer newcastle Wedding photography newcastle Then just let me know where Andy Hudson Photography is displayed (i.e. what page and how high up). I do it myself from time to time but google remembers this and again screws with the result, so I'm trying to see where I rank for anyone searching for the first time. Much appreciated!
  7. There's a few people who have tapped in to using nursery rhymes but non so more blatantly than that Goyte tune recently "someone that I used to know" which was basically Ba Ba Little Black Sheep with different words
  8. Never really been a fan either myself but i have been known to sing the song Loser on Lips (xbox) from time to time... Got so enthusiastic whilst belting it out once that I vomited on the floor. I had been drinking whiskey in all fairness tho
  9. Any of you boys with fancy guitars write your own stuff? We should get a thread going where people can post their own music... I like to write the odd song but am more about the lyrics and singing than guitar playing due to my appauling guitar skills lol, so unless you want to hear someone thrashing the strings in an unrhythmic i'll not be the 1st to post owt lol
  10. Same here with Ok Computer but once I got it I realised it's an absolute masterpiece. Other than In Rainbows I'm not keen on much that followed other than the odd song like 2+2 = 5, Knives out, There There & Optimistic to name a few
  11. Tried Sound Garden a few times and just can't get in to them.. also hate Black Hole Sun with a passion as it sounds like Aerosmith to me lol! Mind you that's probably just me, but it's too airy fairy for my liking. Saying that I'll probs be on here in a couple of months saying how it's changed my life lol. I can be quite fickle like that
  12. Just following on from the other thread where you suddenly start to appreciate bands you never did before, there's a few that I just have never been able to appreciate. Maybe the odd song yes but overall they just do nothing for me: The Beetles Rolling Stones Elvis Tupac Jay Z
  13. A couple of good shouts on here that I'm the same with: Radiohead - didn't like until about 2005 and then couldn't get enough Pearl Jam - wasn't a fan, started listening to Eddie Vedders solo album for the film 'In to the wild', loved it, had no idea he was the guy from Pearl Jam, but once I did I listened to Ten by Pearl Jam and realised I fucking love it! Haven't listened to any other albums yet as this was only last week Nirvana - Didn't like them in the mid 90's... mate got me in to Bush around 1998 and then from there I started to develop a love for Nirvana... now my favourite band of all time
  14. Just booked my flights for 7 days in Morocco in October Going to stay in Marrakech for a couple of nights and then probably do a few days excursion in to the Sahara in Camel and then to loads of little towns & villages, maybe in to the mountains for a short while, then back to Marrakech for another day and a half.
  15. I'm the opposite and seem to work much harder and better from home then in the office. Not sure why that is?!
  16. Cheers mate, tbh need more than just doing nothing in the sun, which although sounds nice I'd be bored after a couple of days. Decided to go to Marrakech instead for a week and maybe take a guide tour up the Atlas Mountains.
  17. That's kind of similar to what we planned on doing last year tbh before we ended up going to Kos... so it sounds like a good option, but checked the weather and can be a bit hit or miss around that time. It's still warm but can rain which after the summer we've had I'm desperately trying to avoid Am thinking i might just bite the bullet and pay what it takes to go to Morocco... am really fancying maybe getting a package to a beach resort, but then jumping on a bus and staying somewhere cheap in Marrakech for a night or 2 before bussing it back to the beack resort for a couple more nights. That way I get culture but very different to what I've experienced before, but also the sun element too.
  18. Haha aye I think this is my worry about Turkey... it's not really got much other than more ruins... oh and lots of hassle from shop owners / restaurants to go in even if you don't want to. Still it's seriously cheap and hot so I guess you gotta take the rough with the smooth
  19. Yeah I've looked in to Cyprus as not been there before, but we've been to Greece a few times in recent years so whilst I haven't ruled it out I'm kind of thinking it's not really top of my list of places to visit. I'm a bit bored of seeing Greek ruins too... so trying to think of somewhere that has something a little different, although where ever you go on hols like this they are usually just ruins of one kind or another
  20. I don't know why but Portugal has just never really appealed to me... isn't it just mainly golf courses and sunburnt brits?
  21. Cool, am thinking of maybe Hammamet but will have a look at Sousse too
  22. Yeah that's definately an option... will look in to that should there be no decent packages going cheap
