So Newcastle has become a job no body wants ? don't make me laugh, a Premier League club with a Billionaire owner, you'd be pleasantly surprised with you we could attract.
-
Why has it automatically got to be a manager out of work ? It doesn't. But it has to be realistic. It was realistic that Spurs could get Juande Ramos, I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to attract managers of a similar reputation.

Sam Allardyce is the footballing equivalent of Gordon Brown, once looked like a massive improvement on the previous loon but is quickly looking like a disaster.
-
Spot on from .com ....Two successive home defeats by three-goal margins is something that must snap Allardyce out of his "best start in 11 years" complacency. This side is heading for oblivion as things stand and not even Graeme Souness or Glenn Roeder managed that after just 13 league games....
-
He's already had 13 chances for fucks sake, he's fucked up 5 and almost fucked up 3 more, how many chances should he get before the penny drops? 13 games in football is nothing. Bugger all. If this we're Souness,Roeder,Shearer would you be saying the same? Would you fuck Exactly, these performance/results been at the hand of a mind boggling dumb appointment like Bruce or Warnock, folk would be outside SJP with pitchforks and burning torches calling for his head 13 matches or not.

Seriously, at what point will you start pressing the panic button and when you do won't you be wishing you'd pressed it sooner ?

... you're pissed off because we've been shit so far, but you think it's more likely that we'll continue in this fashion than we turn things around? That's very pessimistic, given we've got time and money and the opportunity to spend that money. oh and your previous point is not really a fair comment, I had the awful pleasure of watching us on tv and suffered replays and the like, so I've had just as much to complain about as you. It's not through choice I sat at home. Ultimately football is a results business and if results don't improve soon or at least show evidence of a change of form then changes need to be made, our recent poor/shocking run of performances can all be pin-pointed to poor managerial decisions.

Out of interest why were you against Allardyce's appointment and how bad are you willing to let it get ? I thought he was no better than Roeder tactically. I thought Bolton played ugly football that Newcastle fans would not accept and that he had a small club mentality that approached games from a point of view of upsetting the opposition rather than matching them. We've got a defence who haven't had one player acquainted with another from last season in a single game. It needs to be sorted but everyone went along with the dismantling of the team when he arrived. Getting rid would be embarrasing. I was in favour of his appointment at the time, but I feel that your misgivings are being proven to be totally correct, I'm not honestly suggesting he's sacked tomorrow but what I am highlighting is that I think we need to recognise that we have made a mistake and have appointed the wrong manager.

You're having a fucking laugh, how can anyone blame the crowd for todays non-performance, the fixture was effectively over before a ball was kicked and how long can people go on saying "its only X games", we are getting worse by the match and mistakes made by our manager are not being rectified. Don't agree it was over before a ball was kicked. Given only made one save in the first half. I couldn't believe how unhappy people were with the first half. It was crystal clear to me as soon as the starting XI was announced my heart sank, we were going to struggle no matter what, the first half was an utter disgrace and the amount of possession Liverpool had was ridiculous, had Liverpool played better we could have been 5 down by half time. You must have watched a different game than I saw.

Got a text from a Narrich season ticket holder today who said he was fantastic.

Surprised no one has commented on Viduka's absolute non-effort today, its hard to pick out any single player today but I thought the lack of commitment today was disgraceful.

Treading water ? I'll take treading water over what we are doing at the moment which is sinking without trace. Fucking hell jimbo, we're not bottom of the league. We're not sinking without a trace. Stop being so bloody sensationalist man. Boro we're beaten 3-0 at home to Villa, Mackems were twatted 7-1 by Everton, Pompey beat Birmingham 2-0. Those are clubs in the shitter, we're not sinking without a trace for fucks sake. We might be playing shite recently, we may be struggling to find form or our best formation or first 11, yet we're still mid table and we still benefit from the financial backing of Ashley. We've still got a good side on papaer and we've still got over 2/3rds of the season left to play. and we wonder why fans of other clubs think we've a disproportiante view of our own stature in the game... Have you seen any evidence of anything other than a downward spiral ? and I thought you were going to shut up ?

I'm better than Ali - Mayweather Floyd Mayweather has stepped up his war of words with Ricky Hatton by claiming to be the greatest boxer ever. The unbeaten American welterweight insists he is even better than legends Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali. The 30-year-old, who fights Hatton in Las Vegas on 8 December, said: "I can quit today and be known as the best fighter that ever lived. "I respect what Robinson and Ali did for the sport. But I am the greatest, and this is my time." Hatton, who has held world titles at both welterweight and light-welterweight, is also undefeated and lists Jose Luis Castillo and Kostya Tszyu as his most notable victims. But Mayweather, who has beaten the likes of Castillo, Oscar de la Hoya, DeMarcus Corley, Zab Judah and Sharmba Mitchell, has dismissed the Briton as "dirty" and one-dimensional. "I didn't get the chance to watch him against Kostya Tszyu," said Mayweather. "I already knew what it was - punch, hold, punch, hold. From what I've seen, it was extremely dirty. "And that's what I'm saying - that Ricky Hatton is a very dirty fighter."

I think regardless of how long Allardyce has had, if he has lost the dressing room, he needs to go.
-
Giving him time is fine if you can see a hint of progression, and a plan for the future, what we have seen so far is worse than even under Roeder in my opinion, if you want to see Alan Smith played at all costs, insane formations and team selection and substitutions that defy all logic then I'm happy for you, but at least have some sympathy for those of us that find it unacceptable.

Unrest in the dressing-room adds to trouble for Sam Allardyce

Time is not the panacea of all managerial troubles, many may point the finger at managers that have been given time to turn things around, such as Fergie at ManUre and Everton with Moyes, good examples but I wager neither of those fine managers ever displayed such utter ineptitude in team selection, formation and subsitutions as Sam Allardyce, give him more time ? time to turn it around or time to sink yet further ? yes it may be foolish to dump him if there is no replacement, but if I were the owner of NUFC I'd be making some phone calls.

NEWCASTLE United boss Sam Allardyce admitted his side had hit rock bottom in the defeat against Liverpool, then declared: "We have to get ourselves out of it." United crumbled to a 3-0 defeat against the powerful Merseysiders at St. James' Park on top of the 4-1 beating by Portsmouth in the last home game, and Allardyce said: "We are in a difficult period at the moment and that has escalated into disappointing performances. "We are very disappointed as a group of players that we have basically gone out and really not done the job that we are expected to do. "Twice on the trot now the performances have been under par. And we have to put that right as quickly as possible. "We have to dig in and make sure we get ourselves out of this particular predicament. We've hit rock bottom at the minute and we've got to get ourselves out of it. There's only us that can do it, and that's by sticking together and getting a lot more players fit and showing a lot more grit and determination. "That was missing today, particularly after the second goal went in, and that's hugely disappointing." Big Sam said he "had to point a few things out" in the post-match dressing-room inquest then added: "We've got to take it on the chin and get together and make sure we get out of what is a bad run. "Of course, I never thought it was going to be easy against Liverpool with the injuries we had. We had a containing first half, then Stevie G pops up with an unstoppable free-kick. "But then the real disappointing thing was that after the reorganising of the team at half-time we concede a stoppable goal. And our heads went down. "At the moment we are not getting results so the pressure comes - we have to withstand that pressure and turn it round as quickly as we can."

Are you shagging Allardyce or something ? tbf it's less about Allardyce and more about the meeja, how they can put a title like that with nothing to back it up I'd have said the same if it was about Gullit, Souness or Roeder. I agree there's something wrong at the club, but I don't know how papers can have non-stories like this, without quotes? A source is hardly going to offer his name to such an article. -
from the comfort of your sofa? Impossible to be a fan unless you're at the match. Even those who left early are better fans than Jimbo! He posted a topic during half-time wanting Allardyce out. Is there a fucking point? We were 0-1 down to Liverpool, is that such an embarrassment? It wasn't a fixture I was expecting to get much from, but the team selection and performance was an absolute insult to any fan of the club no matter if you sit in an armchair or the Gallowgate.

I honestly don't think Liverpool were that great today, we simply offered no competition at all, it was like a training session, an insult to anyone connected with the club.
