  1. Paid a tenner to some mackem on turnstile 11 at the Roker end....100s were doing it, we were told "10 or 11" so there were at least two mackems pleased to see us that day Never seen that before, it looks incredible when you compare it to a lot of club's clap-a-thons when theres a goal scored nowadays....if anyone was too young for the terraces I feel a bit sorry for you...most weeks they were great in a tragic sort of way (did we complain much pre Hillsborough? ) but some for some games like this one it was just fuckin magic I havnt seen big liams chip for years. Great goal. I was there too, looks fucking class the whole roker end full of geordies going fucking nuts. Happy days. Was in the clock stand seats when hardyman tried to kick budgie's head off. The dirty cunt.
  2. Im fucking sick of hearing about Liverpool. They knocked out the cup, so what? Welcome to the real world. Makes me laugh people calling for Hodgson to be sacked. Worlds greatest fans?? Fucking dream on. Read last week in the paper that cunt Daglish saying who ever loses the Man u/liverpool game would be out the championship race???? They were never in the fucking championship race. Time to wake up Liverpool, your shit. Be interesting to see the gates if they win nowt for a few years. Im sure the day-trippers and glory-hunters they attract from Wales, Ireland, Surrey etc will fuck off soon enough.
  3. Great day out yesterday and great performance. The 2 new lads were qualityand we throughly derserved our our win. Ref was a fucking joke like. Away end was bouncing, was class. Everton were poor and their fans fucking awful. Made no noise at all. 3 points, happy days
  4. Ill be there tomorrow. Ill be happy with a point.
  5. Yeah would agree with that list. Would also add Sheff Wed to that list and maybe Wolves
  6. I think he was genuinely astonished no one mentioned Everton, funny how he defended the clubs support by saying they had 3200 fans outside of Alkmaar's ground who couldn't get in If any Mag on here said Everton then I'd expect the next post to be from the Irish lad from the Everest advert saying, "Now be honest, you didn't expect to be seeing that, did you?". Did you see their away support at Stoke?? At least 1500 empty seats for a game which is what?? 30 mile away? Or should I say awoiii. I didn't see it but am happy to take your word for it if you, sorry, yow saw it on the telloiii! Villa. Olte Enduz in the skoi yippy aye yip yippy aye owwww Gabboi Gabboi Gabboi Aboonluhor hois fast as fook hois fast foooooo oooooo oooook On the peesss mu lorrd on the peessss oh lorrd on the peessss, its yowa round mu lorrd its yowa round, owwwwww lorrd its yowa round Birmeeeengggum are yow lisinin to the songs we'uuur seeengeeen, walkin along seeengeen uh song shit on the Citoi as woi goooooooooooooooooah Seriously, though, 1,500 empty seats at Stoke. Shite support once more from Villa. I just can't believe it when I see these fucking clueless cunts trying to take the piss out of our support, have they no idea of the hypocrisy? If we have a bad gate then we call it as we see it and admit it. These fuckers are incapable of putting their hands up admitting they've got an average support, I don't expect them to call themselves boring, though, no, we'll do that one on their behalf, tbf. Look at the Premiership since 1993. Villa have had 19,000 Everton have had 13,000 Spurs have had 17,000 on more than one occasion Liverpool have had 22,000 in Arsenal had a 19,000 We remain the only club to have never had a gate under 30,000 in the Premiership, even Man Utd have. So it's easy to get carried away with stats like that, but EVERYONE in football knows the truth, and I'm not going to say what it is because I don't need to, everyone knows what the truth is, you can base it on opinion or even fact. The thing is a bad gate for us, is the better than the likes of Villa, Everton and Spurs have had for 30 years. The only club in football who support wise stand up to us are Man Utd. They've won 25 trophies in the last twenty years and we've won none. Villa and Everton at home were never big games for us, and even this season they're games we should be looking to win. You enjoy the games more when there's 3,000 passionate away fans giving you it, and that happens when Leeds, Man Utd and Sunderland come, no cunt else really. I always like games against the three big London teams, oh and Tottenham too as well. We played Chelsea in the league cup early on the rounds in 1992, we were in the 2nd division. There was 30,000 there on a night game during the week. 7,000 were Mags. Three days later Chelsea played Sheff Utd in the PL at Stamford Bridge watched by 13,000! Good call mate. I nearly got a kicking outside the shed that night.
  7. I went to a good few aways that season and it wasn't until then that I actually saw us win, think it was in April too! Remember the jimmy smiths black & white army going on for ages. Also, did anyone remember going to Ewood Park a year later, early in the season it was, it was a truly shit game when in the 90th minute O'Brien scored the only goal of the game and 5,000 Mags started chanting the tune to 'Toms Diner' by Suzanne Vega. Never heard us do it before this game or after it! Aye it was April mate. Won 1-0 Kevin Scott. Great call about the 'tom diners' song at Blackburn. I was there too and remember it well
  8. You're right, I completely forgot about that. It was a surprise at the time though. Should be the full complement on Saturday. Its was the day of the Great North Run mate. Ill be there on saturday, should be a canny day out.
  9. I remember 89/90 canny well. I missed the Leeds game due to boycotting the game. (Daft twat) but went to every home game that season. The seasons memories for me are turning Sheff Ut over 2-0 at home, Micky Quinn and Mark McGhee linking up well and scoring 56 goals or so together, Andy Thorn scoring against Pompey, standing in the scoreboard with my mates, drawing 2-2 with boro at home, getting stuffed 4-1 off Wolves on New years Day (anyone remember Jim smith being attacked in the dug-out?), John Gallagher, Mark McGhee scoring one of the best goals ever seen at St James against Bradford, stuffing Barnsley 4-1 at home, winning 5-1 away to West Brom, Man U beating us in the cup on the telly, belting 0-0 draw with Swindon, going to my first away game at Wolves. Remember walking into the away end and seeing 4,000 mags bouncing up and down to 'Jimmy smith's black and white army' and thinking im having some of this'. Beating West ham 2-1 and invading the pitch. Siting on the pitch watching us get stuffed off the boro. The play-offs against the scum sitting in the clock stand and jumping up when budgie saved Hardymans pen. Still makes me sick thinking about the 2and leg and the goblin king and the ice cream salesman turning us over.
  10. Spot-on. Also add Paul Moran, Terry Wilson, Gavin Mcquire. Loan players but awful. Also anyone remember Neil Simpson?
  11. Aye granted Scott wanst great but I thought he did a job for us. Always rated Ranson. Brock on his day and when he wanted was a canny player. Scored a few cracking free-kicks. One at home to Chalton when they beat us 3-1 midweek was a good un. Kevin Sheedy Scott Sellars
  12. David Mac Peter Jackson Ray Ranson Andy Thorn Kevin Brock Kevin Scott Mark McGhee Paul Bracewell
  13. Aye ive heard about this mate. I read that one film lab refused to print the film as they thought it was a snuff film.
  14. Looks canny. Ill be watching it. he directed 'The Mist' too I think. I enjoyed it esp the ending.
  15. Yup. Very weak referee. I could see JB was using all of his minute willpower to hold back for 90min. I was at the game and full marks to Barton. They set out to wind him up and he got kicked all game. Barton had a cracking game. I thought the toon played really well.
  16. Happy with a point but we could of snatched all 3. Very impressed with the lads today. What a bunch of dirty bastards Wolves are. Fair play to Barton for keeping his cool as he was kicked all day.
  17. Watched 'Centurion' the other night. Was ok. People talking about Kevin Smith films, I love Clerks, Mallrats and Chasing Amy. Dogma was ok then after that he just went downhill as people have mentioned. Jersey Girl? I mean for fucks sake. Awful.
  18. Always is mate. Its a right pain in the arse to get too. Miles out of the city centre. your typical new build ground. Stuck in a trading estate in the middle of no-where.
  19. I really hope we fucking cane this lot. Fucking hated them before we got relegated, now it's more like cold fury. Rant over Too right mate. The way these wankers went on when we down was a joke. Put money on that they havnt sold out their allocation, small time twats!
  20. Not been in myself but I've been told that it's awful. Heard that myself. Anyone heard that Luckies and the buildings next door to it are being made into a Wetherspoons?
  21. Still closed. Funnily enough my sis just told me it's re-opening next month some time. Defo gonna pop in for a couple when its open. I think it could be a cracking boozer. Anyone been to the Station bar opp?
  22. We are the Geordies, the cock of the north We all hate s'land and boro of course We all drink whiskey and Newcastle Brown the Geordies boys are in town la, la , la la, la, la
