Could we sign Harit?

I think if they were smart... They'd take the money and run. But of course, they should have done it at the beginning of the market. Fofana is a very young boy, 21 years old. He is very good. But last year he had a very serious injury that usually takes time to recover well, especially mentally (in addition, he has also had 3-4 knee problems in his short career). And in the end he's going to leave... he takes the 80-90 million that Chelsea gives you and tries to sign a couple of good defenders. With Tielemans the same. He wants to leave and is not going to renew. What is the point of having a player to dislike? You can sell it now for 30-40 million, or else sell it in the winter for 15-20 (and missing a key player) or wait for it to go free in the summer. With Maddison there is a similar situation. The player wants a change of scenery. His contract ends in two years. He wants to get to the World Cup with England and needs a showcase. Take now 50 or 60 million and you will have almost 200 million in 3 players to sign 5-6 players of 30-40 million that can be used to start the new project Leicester are a team that have clearly seen their project come to an end and need to rebuild.

One important detail must be taken into account. Ajax dominates and easily wins 25-30 games out of the 34 that their league has each season. And those who win, it is usually by landslide on many occasions. Of the 18 teams in the Netherlands, there are 13 or 14 that would not have the level to play in the Premier League and many of them not even in the Championship. And with Ajax's high-possession, high-pressing style of play, where they win the ball back in high situations, it's easy for Edson to have very shabby passing numbers, and his attributes on defense can hardly be seen.

Looks like our past target Renan Lodi will go Forest on loan with a 30M€ Buying Option.

I haven't seen him enough to take my opinion too seriously, but the little I can say is that he is a defensive midfielder (who can play central). That he plays the ball well from behind and that he is quite aggressive when it comes to defending. Since Hayden's departure I think we don't have that specific defensive player profile, so I think signing him could be very good.

Ahahahahah. Nah. I don't like so much this...

No no. The case of Julio Alves (who is the cousin of central defender Bruno Alves) was very curious. Atlético's Sports Director was denying the signing for weeks. And even, he went so far as to say that he didn't even know who he was. But the player was seen by the Sports City. On the last market day, Atleti registered Julio Alves in the Federation as a new signing, and a minute later they announced that he was transferring him to Besiktas. So Julio Alves was officially an Atleti player for a minute. And he came from the River Ave, which had been paid approximately one million.

He did a good preseason (but Atletico have never confirmed as new player). He simply signed a 3-year contract, but he only trained for a few weeks in his first year and never came back. They were very strange and difficult years in the history of Atlético. And if I tell you anecdotes... You would never believe them. For example, that the president took four African boys without papers from the street and made them look like four soccer players, to justify the disappearance of several million pesetas. Once upon a time, Atlético de Madrid presented Fernando Hierro at their stadium as a new signing with his shirt and everything (he was playing for Valladolid at the time). And that same afternoon... Real Madrid announced that they had signed Hierro himself, who later became a Real Madrid Legend.

Julio Alves and Catalin Munteanu.

It seems good to me that Paquetá goes to West Ham. His adaptation to Serie A was not good and he failed there in Milan, so it's great to see him running around for a year in the Premier at West Ham and, if it goes well, in 2023 we will already sign him.

Oh man. A can give you a big list of name of Atletico players that trained with Atletico and have never was player officially.

I understand Dubravka. To be a substitute at Newcastle, I am a substitute at Manchester. And don't get me wrong. I would choose Newcastle a million times over ManU, but I am not Dubravka. I explain. For years, De Gea has been somewhat compromised in the starting goalkeeping position. Here, Dubravka, after 3-4 years at a very good level, has suddenly found that he is a substitute, and from the first day he has been without anyone giving him the opportunity to play. The bet on Nick Pope is very serious and it is assumed that he will fight with Pickford (and perhaps Henderson) for the starting position in the selection, so Dubravka here would be a safe substitute. Instead, in Manchester, Dubravka may have higher chances of everything. In fact, right now he is not assured of starting in Slovakia. Manchester plays the Europa League, in addition to the two Cups, so it is possible that, being a substitute for De Gea, he may have more options to play 10-15 games this year and that would help him have options to fight for the position in Manchester United. In addition, Manchester United continues to be one of the 3 biggest teams in the world in terms of merchandising, fans, income, etc. This would make the image of him grow. I don't know. I think that at the point where Dubravka is, he has two options: Either go to a lesser team to be a starter (go back to Prague, for example), or go to be a substitute in a Top Europe team (although football-wise Manchester today not be) of those looking for a goalkeeper, such as Barcelona, Manchester, PSG...

Jokin Aperribay (Real Sociedad President) has confirmed today in Spanish TV that the transfer will be official in next hours.

Dubravka arrived on loan in January 2018. We started the 2017/18 season with Elliott, Darlow and Woodman. Elliott was the starter and Darlow waiting in the bench. But Elliott injured his back at the end of 2017, with Darlow making good matches. But Rafa wants a keeper that would be better with his feets, so we get Dubravka. I remember so much controversial with this sign, because anybody knew Dubravka then, and we had 3 GK. Elliott, that looks like the starter, Darlow, that made good impressions in the few matches he played, and Woodman, that was the U21 England keeper and looks like 'The next big thing'. At the end, the Elliott Injury was very long, and we send Woodman on loan to Aberdeen. Krul was out the club in 2017 summer. And, to be fair at that time he was not a very reliable goalkeeper because after breaking his knee, he had only had a couple of months of activity (on loan in the Netherlands) in the last two years.
