Birthday present. Two free tickets as my uncle and auntie (both Mags obviously) couldn't make it. Was more pissed off with how difficult driving home was in those weather conditions than the result to be honest.

Alright fella's. Sat in the Upper Gallowgate last night and have to say I was very impressed with the atmosphere generated. As for the game, even as someone who supported neither club on the field last night it was quite obvious how poor a game Howard Webb had, Man Utd seemed to get the majority of the decisions until it was obvious the game was beyond the Mancs, it was a stone wall penalty when Ferdinand fouled Ba, that much was obvious to me who was sat at the other end of the field. Missed the third goal as I left on 80 minutes, but just like to say well done and acknowledge the fact you have a canny little team there, was especially impressed with the two Newcastle goalscorers and I though Tioté had a good game too, but everyone did their job to a good degree as they have to do against a team like Man Utd.

In your deluded eyes anyway. I still get goosebumps when I remember some clown on here saying Newcastle were one of the biggest clubs in the world. Maybe in terms of the weight of the individual supporters who attend the games but other than that, I'm lost. We are, but then, so are Villa, so I'd temper your response and consider the sheer number of clubs there actually are in the world. Your club is one of the biggest in the world because it plays in the Premier League, has won domestic honours and isn't Dalian Shide. Thing is, you lot always measure any morsel of success against us, where we measure our meagre success against our own benchmarks. The pictures of you celebrating our relegation were akin to a Champions League triumph. When you lot went down, (and up and down) sure we laughed, but then we stopped caring. You are the local enemy, the charver neighbour who buys a big bore exhaust for the Punto because we buy an Audi. We don't measure ourselves against you, because frankly you don't measure up. Now, if you're still around at the end of the season and you've contributed more than just pointless updates on your parochial town's club I'll apologise, but until then I'll think you a piss poor wum and the reason we seem arrogant. The day you were relegated I think most fans were celebrating because we'd managed to stay up, moron. You're one to talk anyway, I remember the celebrations at the Sports Direct Arena on the day Sunderland and Middlesbrough were both relegated in 1997.

I'll get a chance to see for myself how fat your fans are tomorrow night.

Granted. Still won as many league titles as you in that time though.

I must disagree with you there, obviously Bent was a big loss but the others? Henderson for £20m was amazing business and Gyan is only on loan.

Why don't you worry about your season falling apart once Ashley sells another one of your better players this month and with Ba and Tiote going to the ACN? 15 points between us in November now down to 6, wouldn't be the first time you've blown a big lead though would it?

RTG. Sorry, it's just that I can't work out why you've suddenly shown up, you know, now you're team is playing better and all... It's almost like you've not the courage of your convictions to be a vocal contributor regardless of your teams success? Surely not, right? Can't argue with any of that.

Absolutely delighted tbf, we've probably had some luck tonight but you don't usually win matches in the Premier League 4-1 with a struggling side. O'Neill must take all the credit he has completely rejuvenated the club and got the fans and players believing again, fantastic appointment and the top 10 are in our sights.

I've actually got a ticket for this, hoping to see a good end to end game with a Man United win obviously.

You on Xbox? In fact, anyone on Xbox fancy getting beat off a Mackem?

Is it just me that absolutely hates this game? I think they've taken something that wasn't broke (defending) attempted to overhaul it and completely cocked it up. Its a pisstake. Add to that everytime I cross the ball into the box it will maybe actually go within 5 feet of its intended target once in every twenty or so occasions, also I find the passing to be highly unusual in that more often than not the ball will actually go towards one of your other players only for the opposition to ghost in and intercept. Its a joke and I will not be getting FIFA 13 unless improvements are made, every year they send out a glitched version of the game but every year mugs still buy it and rave on about it for some reason.

Least annoying "big" London team then?

I quite like Arsenal myself.

Good lord I couldn't think of anything more depressing that finding myself stood outside St James' Park on a wet night holding up a banner saying "boycoutt the club". Wish I was the same as you. Fucking hell.
