Remember reading a few years ago in some architectural type website about people (may have been in Germany or Scandinavia)converting shipping containers into homes. Some were really good. Was more a space-saving / recycling thing but very interesting . If your scarf isn't in the way of your keyboard it's well worth looking them up .
