I think he'll be a canny signing. 12 million's a bit too much like but he's an improvement on what we've got. However there's no point signing him and Saivet if we don't then bolster our defence too.

I think he'd be an alright signing tbh.

Barring our Left back and CB options I think our first team on paper is alright (the one I'd choose and not Mclarens) but I think no matter who we sign there's always a risk, you look at Villa and Sunderland who over the years have bought experienced premiership players and they still fail. To me it's down to the manager and the manager we have now and previous managers haven't taken advantage of some of the talent we have.

I'd prefer a solid defensive midfielder than a creative one. Have him sitting behind Wijnaldum and Sissoko and I think that'd be alright. We're in desperate need of a CB and LB which need addressed.

I know they may not be the most inspiring of signings but I'd try for Lucas from Liverpool or Mikel from Chelsea. Premier League experience and play defensive midfield which is what we need.

There'll be no point signing players in January if he can't even play the ones we signed in the summer in their correct positions. The man is out of his depth atm.

Then that's another problem down to the manager. If as a manager you can't instill confidence in a young lad to play football then you're no good at your job. If you're willing to drop or sub a youngun for not being a grafter or not picking someone to go into a team that's low on confidence and comfortably losing games then what are you being paid for?
