40m? Either Maddison really didn't want to move to the North East, or perhaps more accurately his missus didn't, or we genuinely just moved on to a different target. I suppose there is a third option of his wage demands potentially blowing up our structure.

Edit. It does say add ons though, so perhaps the add ons wanted by Leicester take it above what we valued him at.

Hard to believe we couldn't/wouldn't have agreed a 40 million fee if we had wanted to. This seems like a more voluntary move to other targets on our part, especially with Tonali confirmed already.

Shame 'cause he's a good player, but if Kane is off to Bayern as seems possible at the moment then I don't see Spurs really pushing for Champions League qualification for a while, more likely drifting back to what they were before Poch and Kane

Bad news delivered with the usual glee

Leicester are desperate for a bidding war on their only real saleable asset. They can demand what they want be the truth is they move closer and closer to losing him for free every time they turn down a bid.

Spurs and us both know this, we've shown already that we're happy to do other business and Spurs are Spurs with Levy in charge, neither club will pay over the odds.

Can see us just walking away from it quite soon if they keep trying to play the two clubs interest off on one another to increase how much they get.

Is that the new rule the 5 year rule? Maybe that's what I read.

No I think thats about overall max contract length, as far as I know the FFP limit is already 5 years. So the fee split down by contract length thing that FFP does will only count up to 5 years, the extra three aren't lowering their outlay at all.

    Its sort of broken down through a lens of what we can spend here;

Still dishing out these long contracts  More surprised players are signing them to be honest:lol:

Its really weird, for ffp the max length is 5 already, those extra three arent doing anything for them.

Would you take Zaha on a free? I mistakenly thought he'd already decided to go to a Saudi side, but apparently he's yet to make a decision on where he'll play. He's 30 so obviously above the age range we've been looking at, but a bit of experience as well can't hurt. There has always been question marks about his mentality given his undoubted talent, but if Howe could work his magic he could be immense under the right circumstances. We could also sell ASM and put the money towards a third big money singing after we sign Maddison, Szoboszlai or some other attacking mid. Great bit of business 😉

Experience of what though? Trippiers experience made sense, played at big clubs, won stuff.

Zaha has done nothing with his talent other than be a big fish in a small pond.

Move over Greek gamer. NKOTB for next season.

Nice, thats 4 goals and 3 assists for Gordon at U21 level since his debut 18 months ago, which puts him ahead of (random example from our squad) ASM at that level by 4 goals and 3 assists.

    Really promising.

And that's great for all you civilised folk but here where you have towns, not cities, towns 400/500km apart or where it is not uncommon to drive 1000km in a day, electric vehicles are not viable, well at least not until manufacturers make the battery packs changeable, so you can just swap and go. But we all know that won't happen because they will all have different size batteries or different volt or different connector plugs because in our capitalistic society, it's not to their benefit to collaborate on a unified system, that might benefit more than just themselves.

Btw most contemporary cars that meet Euro 6 emissions are producing such a small amount of greenhouse gases that they aren't the problem, it's all the shite being tooled around in the 3rd world countries or the shitty engines that governments like Australia and the US allow in to keep prices down (they run on 91 octane fuel and don't even make Euro 4 spec). If everyone drove a Euro 6 spec vehicle, the greenhouse gases from cars would be a small fraction of what it currently is.

Thats not why that won't happen, not solely anyway.

The batteries for most EVs take up the entire floor of the car and weigh a hundred kilos +. The engineering required to make swappable batteries  across all EVs would be a complete fools errand.

Electric vehicles (EVs) normally store the batteries along the bottom of the chassis

So who is next? If we had to pick one of the following:

Maddison, Szbosozsozosolai, or Barella (sign a mate for Tonali?)

Barellas the best player of those three but we don't really need his position now.

Torn between the other two tbh, Maddison comes with proven PL quality, Szoboszlai is younger, has probably a higher ceiling and can play on the right a bit more than Maddison.

Honestly though I can see us moving on to left back of right wing as a priority now that we've added to the midfield with Tonali.

We dont need a more advanced central playmaker because Bruno will move forward with Tonali behind and fulfill that role kind of how he did in his first few months with us.

  9. Saw a decent point made earlier in regards to the players moving to Saudi this summer, quite a lot of them make up some of the most high profile Muslim players in the world which will make them SUPER popular in Saudi.

Kante, Koulibaly, Benzema, Ziyech and Mendy. Saw a report (who knows how accurate) that they've also made contact with Liverpool about Salah. It just so happens that Chelsea are desperate to clear out players and happened to have a lot of Muslim players, it all sort of makes sense.

Cool, what pickups did you get? Active or passive?

No rules, only guidelines. Typically run with 500k pots for humbuckers (lower values generally help tame bright single coils) and for capacitors only go for lower than the stock value of you want LESS treble roll off. At ten the sound is the same. Higher value capacitor = more range between O and 10 on the tone dial.

No need to go down those rabbit holes and overcomplicate it. Saying that, don't buy into any of the orange drop/Sprague capacitor pish. Nowt against them, but ceramic disc or film capacitors will do exactly the same job for orders of magnitude cheaper, ceramic disc can go microphonic though.

Cheers man, its getting some passive pickups, a pair of Dimarzio Illuminators which I love but have been sitting in a guitar I don't like playing for a while.

Now, Andrew maybe able to know more about this.  But I think Milan's finances are fucked.  So his love may mean he leaves to keep them alive

They're actually not so bad, their debt isn't massive and is going down. Its Inter who are in trouble, they have about 300 million in debt that is due in the next 12-18 months or something.

Milans problems right now are twofold when it comes to deals like this, one is shared by all of Serie A in that they don't have the money that basically anyone in the PL does and the other is that their owner just binned Paolo Maldini who is Mr Milan and its put a few of their big players noses out of joint including Tonali.

  12. Finally got the custom 'guard for my Schecter so I can put some humbuckers in it.

First time sorting out an entirely new set of electronics for a guitar, am I right in saying I'll need a 500k pot each for volume and tone? wtf do I do about capacitors?
