  1. And I've never said Sony are some lights in the corporate world regards drm. Fact is for this machine, based on information so far and for MY consumption of the next gen of gaming consoles they are considerably better when it does come to game ownership, trading and consumer rights. You can't argue that surely.
  2. Btw ant my "gamer" post was aimed at Tom not you, mirroring the line in his post nice rant though
  3. I'm waiting for next gen for FIFA. It's one of those I play all year round, stuff I'll likely be done with by the time they're released I'll get for my 360.
  4. Whereas I am a big gamer. I was always getting one of the next gen consoles and Microsoft have largely made the decision for me based on the attitude they've displayed towards customer rights and service since the announcement. Add in it costs more which is rationalised as being for the kinect, something I don't want, and I'm pretty happy with the idea of a PS4.
  5. You do seem to have rather made up your mind on the one though.
  6. The three games seemed to be used a leverage towards an Xbox one. Fair enough point about the data security though. You're right about PS3 people though. Don't actually own one myself. So far I just don't see the advantage of buying a Xbox one over a ps4.
  7. Who's preordered except Tom?
  8. Destiny was shown during sonys conference and titanfall isn't necessarily a xbone exclusive according to the developer
  9. Would you buy a kinect though?
  10. Amazon are the same. You get it for the lowest price it drops too while on preorder
  11. Right, misread that then I'm holding off on my preorder until a bit closer to release once retailers are competing more and there are bundles and what have you all priced and ready.
  12. Titanfalls not neccesarily an exclusive btw.
  13. They still profit from money lending Unless there's an upper limit on interest rates written into Muslim law
  14. That's one of the things the likes of wilshere do well. Doesn't just pass but drives into space before releasing the ball
  15. Would be wondering why he didnt mind when it was Virgin money. Something the Muslim council of Britain never answered me on when I asked them about it
  16. But the console won't work if its off and you unplug it. "Off"
  17. Unless there's a drastic change in direction from Sony or MS before these consoles come out that is pretty much decision made for me.
  18. Well, student places don't have great internet, lots of people in the deployed in the armed forces don't have any but like their games. There are a whole lot of people who cant rely on their internet. I, for one, have played a bunch of LAN parties with 360s, cant take a weekend doing those anymore.
  19. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-06-07-microsoft-kills-game-ownership-and-expects-us-to-smile This is the best write up I've read so far on the prospect
  20. Yes, exactly like that. This isn't a Microsoft vs Sony issue for me, I don't see why the comparison has been brought up in this instance. This is an Xbox one not being good for consumers issue.
  21. I'm less bothered about the information thing than I the idea that I won't own anything I buy for an Xbox 1. Always be at the mercy of Microsoft or My ISP for whether my games can be played at all. If their security isn't absolutely tight then it won't take long for a group to target them knowing how much of a problem that would be for any Xbox one owner. Or whenever a new CoD or halo are out I don't believe for a second there won't be days of poor server connectivity due to the numbers playing them which means I can't use my Xbox one. Or on Christmas Day when millions of units are all turned on for the first time on the same day. Nothing near this big that REQUIRES the Internet to work at all has launched smoothly. This won't either. My 360 did. It's a backwards step
  22. http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/main confirmed enough for you?
