  1. Hark now hear The Geordies sing That Sunderland ran away and we will fight forevermore because of 30th January
  2. I say we boycoutt the stadium for televised games but pack out every pub in town so the sky cameras have something to point at.
  3. I think krul should of had more chance in the first team ( ie cup games etc ) after the performance he gave against Palermo he's not the only one , donninger and goodsmark , ranger ect ect all showing our first team up , and deserved alot more playing time , hull put their reserves out against us and knocked us outa FA cup , we shoulda played the kids and would have had more chance of winning watching our first teams perfomance that day . Totally agree with you. We have some cracking youth talent. Wouldn't mind seeing Tozer and Kadar In tonights reserve game...
  4. As long as the decision comes after the derby, I'm open to the suggestion.
  5. Wouldn't it be 'by'? 'I watched Commando by Blu-Ray' . . . . . nah that doesnt even make sense I mean it's a format innit? Like a mode of transport. You drive to Leeds 'by' car or 'by' bike, even though you're in one and on the other. To be clear maybe Jonny should have said "Commando in the format of blu-ray", I mean he watched it "on" the telly didn't he, not the disc? Perhaps "via" would have been the best option. "Commando via the medium of Blu-Ray". I think you should write to the editor of the Times to be sure.
  6. At least he wouldn't be able to complain they weren't "his players".
  7. Injured. Perfect for Newcastle.
  8. You do the math! s Won't this cost the likes of me (mobile user, no landline) even more.... http://www.which.co.uk/advice/premium-rate...ained/index.jsp FAT FUCK!
  9. I see the US are still in Iraq, healthcare is still unaffordable to millions, and cars still don't hover on potato peel power alone. Obama lied to me.
  10. Buy him just for the re-use of the "time to go" chant. N'Guemo N'Guemo N'Guemo o o o o N'Guemo N'Guemo o N'Guemo o o o o FUCK OFF!
  11. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...als-760636.html Months after the window in which he'd spent over £20M had closed and the team had lost 3 out of 4, drawing one and conceding 10 I might add. Not that he'd have been making excuses. At least Keegan and Kinnear had the good sense to apportion blame while they were being shafted.
  12. He mentioned how his summer signings weren't his first choices back in November... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...als-760636.html
  13. He moaned a few times about the lack of money though and that is my point. Source? You can easily dig up SA's comments that Jan. I can't...and I have looked. Tough. Never happened man.

  16. Where do you get that from. Personally I have no recollection of that having been the case at the time. EDIT: Why would you sack someone and incur a huge payout on their contract because they asked for more money, when you could just say "no" and let him resign? I'm surprised you're so poorly informed. The argument that lead to his sacking was about needing to spend that Jan, while Mort had one eye on the books. He accepted Enrique, Cacapa and Rosy, but at the time expressed doubts about all of them. I think it's one of your patented flights of fancy stated as fact.

  18. The Lambrusco stuff gives me hope it's not all down to Ashley being a shithead. Ultimately he carries the can as owner but the differences are striking... Mort set up excellent lines of communication with the fans through websites like this one and fanzines. Lambrusco couldn't be arsed and hasn't spoken a word I'm aware of. Mort still takes the time to respond if you send him an email though he's nothing to do with the club any more. Lambrusco wouldn't consider giving out an address. Mort brought us Keegan. Lambrusco brought us Kinnear. Mort sacked Allardyce Lambrusco sacked Keegan. Mort bought players the manager wanted Lambrusco sells players the manager wants Mort balanced the books with Ashleys cash Llambrusco balances the books with player sales and wage reduction Between arrival and departure Mort had a net spend of £10M Since his arrival Lambrusco has a net profit of £2M Mort was welcomed and cheered in pubs and clubs around the North East. Lambrusco is lucky if he can get in the stadium without protest banners
  19. Well JJB's stock has fallen to one forty third of it's previous high value (430 down to 10). Sports Direct is one sixth (280 down to 50), so he's riding the current economic storm better than others.
  20. Has .com's two penneth been posted?
  21. Shugo Tokumaru - Wedding I don't think he's quite Japan's Sufjan Stevens, but this is a glorious banjo track.
  22. With the net assets of the club being worth less than £20M I think you have to assume that Ashley's £200M investment is based on future tv/internet earnings which dwarf ticket/merchandise.....especially once you drop out of the top flight. Asset stripping just isn't viable for a Premier league club where all the value rests upon your position in the table. Is it? I think conspiracy theorising credits Ashley with something other than incompetence, which i think is a stretch. incompetence or asset stipping either way we are fucked. As i said tho, i can't see how anyone who can make the money he has can be that incompetent. The whole footballing world knows the shit were and what needs to be done about it.So why does he just sit there doing nothing? That can't be incompetence,i don't know what the fuck it is but its not just incompetence.I don't believe he is just burying his head in the sand either,so i'm at a loss as to second guess what the fucker is up to. How does Boris Johnson end up in charge of London? How does Gordon Brown end up in charge of the UK? How does George Bush end up in charge of the US? I'm being faceatious, he's clearly an intelligent and talented businessman, but he's made some tragic mistakes at the club. Mainly appointing Llambias and backing Wise over Keegan. I honestly believe he'd be willing to spend the money, he's not sat in a swimming pool of money rubbing his hands together, he HAS spent canny sums in previous windows but I don't think he'll pay over the odds for anyone. The club has sunk so low, there's not a manager or player that would want to come close, even if we offered full whack....and I thought we'd reached our lowest ebb on that score after Allardyce went.
