Hughton says not many signings this summer.

If you said anything like the above I wouldn't have disagreed. I only argue with you when you're off the mark. For example, you said what a good appointment Roeder was, while I was spot on about it being another downward step on the path of lowered expectation and dwindling returns... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=136657 Your refusal to say a bad thing about Shepherd meant you defended some of the worst decisions. I said that very phrase often. I said I was "hopeful" that Roeder would turn out well, just like Hughton now in fact. However, at least you agree with me that a manager with one hand tied behind his back is on a hiding to nothing.......at least the managers the Halls and Shepherd appointed were given the support and backing which is the whole point. Not many clubs actually do this, its a matter of choice. Glad you agree with me Leazes. Took your time. -

I don't think it was ONLY repayable when sold in the past, it could have been reduced at any time but it had to be repaid if the club changed hands....and that restriction has been lifted...which suggests it's the first of your two options. While giving him credit for that kind of sweetner, it makes one wonder about how much Ashley was actually willing to forfeit when selling and casts further doubt on the claims of an £80m asking price with no other strings attached for Moat last summer....which I doubted all along as it was
-
He's also changed the terms of his loans from instantly repayable upon the sale of the club to repayable on demand btw.

Approximately 13% of what they were paying for Mort. Similar to what Owen earned in a week

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-...72703-26357235/ When added to the £23m transfer profit for 2009 and the £5k transfer outgoings in 2008 they've given us a figure for Ashley's overall transfer profit of £20m.

The highest paid director (presumably Llambias) is on £155k with £16k going into his pension. Chicken feed tttt.
-
In a nutshell (from quayside on NO): Turnover was £86 million (all 3 areas of revenue matchday, media and commercial were down on the previous year) Wages (including Keegan's £2.2m payoff) £73m Profit on transfers £23m Other costs £51m Therefore the Loss = £15m so it was an improvement on 2008 but, due to the fall in turnover, not a massive one. As at 30th June Ashley had loaned £111m making his investment a total of £247m. He took no money out in interest. At one point in the year his loan was up to £112m.

nice to see people now saying the things I have always said. I thought you said Shepherd never did a thing wrong. you won't find anywhere where I said that..... And the above is no different to what I've ALWAYS said. Seems we both make up total bollocks about what other posters said in hindsight -

The closing statements said it all to me. Cameron's was full of wishy washy flim flam the uninformed voter will like the sound of...even though they're among the poorest people he'll fuck over worst of all... I'm not sure which of those two most important things is most important either. Brown's statement said little about what he would do too, but at least he mentioned some actual policies, those of the other two which they cannot defend... Which is understandable tbh. He's the defending champion, he doesn't have to win, he just has to avoid losing.

Any idea what income you'd have to have to be in group 6 or lower?

The rose tint was that I'll be voting Lib Dem, but I though he looked decidedly lightweight tonight compared to Brown. Cameron is was and always will be a shiny chinned twat of the largest magnitude who would come last if he was debating George Bush.

I must have had my rose tinted specs on.

Indeed. Clegg has lost the plot on that one. It sends out the wrong message. It's a vote loser and not what Joe Public wants to hear (because they're bigots aren't they Gordon?) Clegg floundering a bit tonight imo. It's a common sense idea to collect tax from illegals that are working rather than spending money on keeping them....but you're right, that old gadgie that got called a bigot doesn't want to hear that.

I thought Brown won it tonight, despite his stupid smiling.
