I see Bellamy has signed for Liverpool. Now I know we were never going to get him specifically - but look at the ambition and strength in depth they have now. They're able to bring in someone of his quality as backup! Even Fulham are far better off than we are with a fit Zamora, Dembele and Johnson. Adding Ruiz to that makes a formidable strikeforce. Even Stoke have more ambition than us!

We might as well have kept Carroll. I'm sure the money for a fucking bore hole and a new table tennis table could have come from somewhere else. I really don't know what to say. Just astonished that they'll allow us to go into the season with only Ba in as a new striker. There are so many players we could have gone for and we had so many chances to do so. Even loans. Clearly I'm not their biggest fan but you're just making stuff up to suit your agenda. We obviously have tried to sign more players, but typically we've left things too late or just not done business very well. Suggesting we need to sell someone to bring someone else in makes no sense.

After being linked with strikers all summer long, having a bit of cash, and making noises about it - yeah I honestly thought we'd do something. I really did not think that they would allow us to go into the season with a strikeforce that everyone knows aren't enough on their own. I'm just amazed at their ineptitude. It's incredible.

Ruiz has a a great scoring record - why did we leave it till another club made a move before we decided that we should try for him ourselves?

Why would we offer Twente more money than Fulham? So they'd be more inclined to sell him to us over them? Wasn't a properly serious comment anyway.

If Liverpool brought Bellamy back I'd be so bitterly jealous. They don't even really need him. All these clubs bringing in strikers (Arsenal, Fuiham, Liverpool, Spurs) are already better off than we are.
