  1. Well that's the end of that chapter.
  2. Because Macheda isn't very good.
  3. So theoretically only 2 weeks (given there's a 2 week international break coming up now)... Cool beans.
  4. Really hope there's something in that. He's got something like 4 in 3 so far this season, 24 in 34 last season and 6 in 6 the season before that. Just turned 26.
  5. Yes but apparently they have to do 2 years service before they're 30. Fair point about Man Utd's Park though.
  6. Anyone heard anything about when Vuckic will be alright to play again?
  7. Apparently Arsenal will only get 2 years out of Park Chu-Young before he returns home for military service. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11670_7138506,00.html
  8. This guy and Roux anyone? This guy, Roux AND Macheda anyone? Yeah I'm going a bit delirious. Still want Cisse mind.
  9. Well it does quite clearly say 2000 to be fair.
  10. Why aren't we in for Papiss Demba Cisse?
  11. You read that article? Fair point on Cesena by the way, maybe they can't afford him or something.
  12. Will improve their defence and give them another striking option - but hardly going to replace Fabregas and Nasri now are they? They're all decent but not top class players.
  13. Apparently Sochaux want to replace him with Max Gradel. Crazy talk but I wish we were in for him too.
  14. i honestly reckon Sniffer's been to jail I'd put money on the fact he has a bluebird tattooed on his neck or something equally as pathetic and has led a Nick Cotton like life. Miserable cunt. Well put.
  15. What Gejon said. Clearly he's desperate to join us and you can only assume that he'll also be desperate to prove himself on the pitch if he does join. Yeah he might be off in a couple of years but being a 'step up' has its advantages. I do have a big problem with him coming here though - the African Cup of Nations. We'll be back to relying on Shola and Besty (and that's if Shola doesn't get called up by Nigeria!) for a good month.
  16. Please tell me this isn't true. £35m from selling our star striker and we spend precisely none of it on a replacement (loan, signing-on and agent fees excluded). It's just beyond me how a club that sold someone for such a vast amount of money in January could potentially be resorting to a loan of a pretty mediocre and unwanted player (I know we brought in Ba but it was always going to be him and someone else). Utterly shocking business and I really hope this isn't true (unless there really isn't anyone else).
  17. I'm a bit sensitive to the fact that my club are desperately lacking an LB and a striker at the moment. Putting any faith in these rumours will just invariably end in disappointment (at least that's been the case thus far).
  18. yeah we havent signed a midfielder for a while eh? at least one striker and a left back we need desperately dont we ffs? Jesus wept. Not sure what your point is. I only mentioned him because an article suggested he might leave Man City in the near future. Has nothing to do with the reality of what and who we need to bring in, and soon. I'd like to think we'd try something if he became available but not if it impacted our LB/striker search. He's better than all of our current midfielders. hey i wasnt having a go at you like but midfield does seem the only area for which we are adequately staffed. Thats not to say that adma johnson wouldn't greatly improve our team but i can think of other areas i would prefer to dream about, knaa what i mean lyek? Eh, fair enough. And yeah, I agree. Given Skysports.com's track record, there's probably nothing in that article and even if there was it doesn't mean we'd be in for him. In reality it looks like we'll do well just to bring a LB in.
  19. They all came with a lot of hype too. Emre... I can't believe how much money we spent that summer. A) Because we spent so much, but mainly because it was the second worst manager in living memory (first has to be Kinnear) who spent it. Shepherd was far from perfect but at least he backed his managers.

  21. That is a) the worst source I've ever heard of, and doesn't mean we'd be back in for him.
