  1. I dont mind the signings. Ba looks capable (for 2/3 of the season). Cabaye looks like a good grafter and is said to be good at distributing the ball. How he fits in to the prem remains to be seen but could work well in the centre with Tiote. Im looking forward to seeing Ben Arfa get a good run and how Gosling shapes up. Marv sounds decent but I dont know much about him. These are all fair signing imo, however, it's not enough. If Enrique leaves (and it sounds like he will) we are fucked for LB. I know the club are said to still be looking for a forward but it's a must. We NEED a good forward to go with Ba and even then we lack depth. While I dont buy into the line of him siphoning money out of the club (though I did read something about loan repayments to the tune of £13K per year? Id like to see that confirmed or not), but I do think they are using transfer income to cover other operating costs. Which is a bit of a joke tbf. If we need additional revenue to cover overheads, how about Llambias does his fucking job and markets the club? How about we increase revenue through selling boxes? How about we increase sponsorship outside of sports fucking direct we (and I may be wrong) probably get advertising at a preferred rate. Sure the wageroll maybe needs to come down, so how about we offload Perch, Best, Lovenkrands, Xisco, Smith et al? Easier said than done I know, but I imagine for some it may be cheaper to cancel their contract than try to sell? Spot on post that.
  2. This bloke is the best LB in the business at the minute. Weren't you just criticising Cabaye in another thread for playing in an mediocre league? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you're an avid watcher of football in Portugal.
  3. Let's bring in Per Kroldrop.
  4. Excellent business??? He's a second tier player from a mediocre league and nobody else was interested. Gameiro or Gervinho might have been "excellent" business, this bloke is scraps.... - He was one of the most integral players in a league winning side - He's a French international - How do you know no-one else was interested? We got in there early before anyone else could make a move, perhaps. - You call him "scraps" yet you almost certainly have no idea whether he's truly any good or not. Judge him when he's had a few games perhaps?
  5. Again, who are you referring to? Ignore Leazes. He clearly cares so much about the forums he despises. Let it go, man.
  6. Is that shit I smell? Do you think he said that to her?
  7. Luke Edwards now seemingly happy to criticise the club. http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/sport/lukeedw...f-turning-sour/ Not really saying anything new but it's good to see these sort of views aired in public in a way. I don't think fans of some other clubs realise how bad we've got it with this lot in charge.
  8. 5 guests currently viewing this thread. Aw shit.
  9. Did anyone dare venture onto RTG after the Darlo match? No doubt there's still loads of threads up on their first page about the very topic.
  10. So Peasepud is complaining about a guy complaining about another guy being racist who was at the same time condemning racism in his post.
  11. Crazy thing this but your opinion isn't actually fact.
  12. Pardew didn't say that as far as I'm aware.
  13. Giving Abeid and Vuckic some gametime with the first team could work in our favour actually.
  14. Peter "Scottish International" Lovenkrands "Here's the old man of the group, 150 years of age, Steve Harper"
  15. Anyone been watching the NUFCTV vids featuring Andy Woodman (keeper coach) let loose on the plane with a video camera? Properly amusing stuff. He's a bit weird you see.
  16. Talking to an Arsenal friend and he reckons Gervinho is Bendtner's replacement. Which is fair enough.
  17. Gervinho completes his move to Arsenal. Do they even really need him? Compared to us I mean.
  18. Yeah in retrospect I was getting a bit deep with that comment last night. My excuse is that I was intensely bored.
  19. Oh and they get a potentially better replacement, for less money, who is 4 years younger (Aguero).
  20. A strange one that would yet suit all parties. Man City don't have to worry about facing him in European competition, Tevez is much nearer his family (fair play to him in a way, he's willing to take a step down for the good of his family), and Corinthians get a player at the top of his game (and also one with history at the club). The Brazilian league has vastly improved over the years so he'll still find it competitive.
