We've got a lot of players who could be good. We don't know how Cabaye and Abeid will adapt. We don't know how Marveaux, Gosling and Ben Arfa will perform after long term injuries. We don't know how the likes of Vuckic might perform after an extended run in the team, should they get one. Can Ba replicate his form for West Ham for us, for an entire season? How will any further new players fit in? On top of that we've got a new captain, we don't know how well he'll do and if we'll suffer in comparison to Nolan's leadership and goal count. Can Barton perform with an uncertain future worrying him? What about the LB position. On paper we've got an exciting team. I'm nervous but intrigued to see how they perform. Too many questions though, and there are many more I could add. Not even started on how we'll manage with a few injuries to key players.

What's stopping you from reading reviews or opinions of the 360 version?

N'Zogbia confirmed as a Villa player. Good move. Foster to West Brom, Myhill in the opposite direction. Both on year-long loans, Foster's loan states that he'll automatically be recalled at the end of it, which is great business for both parties as he could rejoin Birmingham if they get promoted back to the PL.

exactly but he didnt and at no point has he shown an ounce of humility with regards to how shite he was for us. Not being funny but what about the others who didn't hold "their hands up after relegation"? And until the end he wasn't that shite for us, as much as people want to believe he was. 30 from 71 games isn't too bad, given his injury problems and the generally woeful service that he was provided with. I'm not his biggest fan either but some people go way overboard to a cringe-worthy extent. which others? Beye? cost very little and played well for us in his time here, Bassong? same, Martins? Disappeared from our view by and large. who else? who came with that price tag? (in lump sum and weekly) who else has since shown little/no respect to us at any time? and lets not forget "'Prefer playing less in top team than every game in poor one" Owen deserves everything he gets from toon fans. Owen didn't really show anything. That was the problem. Was never offensive as such, but didn't really appear to ever put the effort in off the pitch. I'm not entirely sure that's disrespectful. We all knew he probably didn't want to be there and in the end he was forced to as Shepherd offered Real Madrid so much and offered Owen such high wages. Again his scoring record wasn't that bad, he scored a few big goals and he was in a pretty terrible team at times who couldn't provide the service he got at Liverpool. That quote of his was stupid but he was being extremely antagonised by some of our lot. He reacted poorly but it wasn't out of the blue or anything. Again some people like yourself just overdo it if you ask me. To each his own, I doubt Owen cares much about what you or Tom or I have to say.

.com made a reasonable point - why didn't Pardew call up Kadar instead of Dummett? Kadar can play LB can't he? I'd like to think it's because Dummett is specifically a LB whilst Kadar is more versatile and doesn't specialise in any one defensive position. edit; just came across this quote from a few years ago: "In Bolton they would count me as a left-sided defender and in Newcastle I would play in the centre of the defence. I admit this (central) is my favourite place on the pitch." Apparently Pardew just doesn't fancy Kadar which sucks cause he looks good. Source? Or are you just going on lack of game time since Pardew came in, which is fair enough.
