I doubt that'll fly with the PL - all that really needs to happen is for the Saudis to say that they'll take it instead, pay at least what BeIN was paying, and then they have the kudos of a PL team whilst also have control of coverage across the Middle East. Honestly I would have preferred this over May's deal. Short of anything with freedom of movement in it, I'd prefer us to get the harshest, most painful deal possible so that we can get back in asap.

I want to add that if they do rush the trade deal through by then, it will have been done with basically no scrutiny by businesses, institutions, charities, anyone. Who fucking knows what will be in it.

Logically, if businesses don't go under, then I agree with ewerk. What is going to tank the economy if businesses just pop back up to what they were doing? The big risk is that they become unsustainable in terms of cash flows, not that all of these businesses are suddenly unprofitable. Since the government stepped in to help them with their main overheads, i.e. staff costs, they should indeed mostly be fine. Except holiday companies which are going to be hounded to death by people trying to claim refunds for missed trips

You're better off that way tbh. It's just a card game that has 5 colours representing different factions. On certain cards, certain commands are now racist. Intriguingly they're not racist everywhere, just on cards that you could, if you swapped the meaning of 'faction' with that of 'race', claim were advocating a genocide of black people. Cards that do the same the other way around are apparently fine. Cards which have negative, colour based targeting but which don't destroy things are... fine. I actually now believed WotC, the guys who make it, are racist as fuck. You'd actually have to be in order to think of half of the things they've banned as racist.
