I disagree I honestly think we will have a squad capable on 3 fronts. Fringe and youth players will get game time in the cups. All clubs are at mercy to injuries.

Meaning we'd have additional cover with Williamson, Raylor (when fit), Gosling, Marveaux, Obertan and Shola. Then then youngsters. Alnwick, Streete, Dummett, Bigirimana, Vuckic, Sameobi and Campbell. Puts us in a pretty good position to have a good season IMHO.

The more videos I watch of Gomis the more I realse he isn't a target man at all. He actually plays on the shoulder quite a lot and has that first touch to take him into the box and into goal scoring opportunities.

Agreed. Do you think he will be competition for Cisse rather than starting alongside him? Personally I think Pardew will stick to 4231 and don't see Gomis playing either side of him. Remy however would thrive in that role. Him and Ben Arfa either side of Cisse excites me. Gomis and Gouffran off the bench. Keeping key players fresh with good rotation options is most likely going to help get the most of our players. More goals too. We hope.

He is in affect Ba's replacement. Possibly a downgrade but still has enough quality to make a good mark on our side.
