Better performance overall. First half we kept the ball better but created little. In the second half we got a grip and controlled the game far better. The spirit in the group should be good tonight. Three clean sheets in a row is something to build on if we can add to our attacking options. Cisse seems to be warming up now and Remy looked dangerous when he came on.

Same as West Ham and sticking with 442. I hope we find a way to make this work otherwise it appears Pardew is out of ideas. Im happy for Marveaux and Ben Arfa to get a chance out wide and its interesting to see if Cisse benefits from someone else alongside him even if it is Shola. Remy, Cabaye and Gouffran off the bench are good options. 2-0 Ben Arfa and Cisse.

I agree. Looks to have ability and still young, just hasn't had a good chance to set the world alight. Same can be said for Kadlec and Necid. So we have Remy. What is the general opinion on how many more we need and in what area? I'd say we could get by with the strikers we have (Cisse, Remy, Gouffran, Shola and Campbell) but in an ideal world we would bring in another striker and either let Shola leave or loan out Campbell. Out wide is the most pressing issue now. We should be targeting and making a serious effort to sign Ince or Sinclair. After that id say we are in pretty good shape. Other moves would be dependent on players leaving. If Williamson goes then we would need another CB but one happy to be 4th choice. You could argue that we need another RB to cover Debuchy also.

But even with the added 20mil from Cabaye...what higher calibre player are we going to go for? The only player I think we could replace him with is Eriksen. We've been linked a few times

So how much do we have to spend? What do you think the budget is? Or is it a case of spend as little as possible?
