Didn't know about him being a bodyguard haha.
-
He has done books or dvd's about the krays, not sure if he ever knew them mind.
-
Haha I'm not Steve but I wish I had his (likely better than mine) bank balance!!
-
Yeah I'd agree, he has built up a bit in the summer, but he is still a bottler for the tackles. Tracks back and gets stuck in, just doesn't like it when he is the one being tackled.
-
He's actually a really decent bloke, gets a lot of bad press from other fans. Not sure why really, he is a promoter and promotes things, that is his livlihood, due to being known he seems to be interviewed a fair bit, not sure why people have a go at him for that. He is a huge fan of the club, he isn't too keen on the Ashley regime. Like most fans then.

Agree. Marveaux deserves a chance too. Both quick, take people on, attacking. Obertan works hard too, he doesn't often get credit for that.
-
You could probably count on both your hands the number of assists he has in those 2 and half seasons since promotion. I can probably give you 3 now and then I am struggling. The 2-0 win away at Birmingham, he set up both, and I think he set up Ba for the goal in the 2-2 with Spurs last season. Yesterday he got into some decent positions, he didn't seem to want to take the defender on. He got the ball in a few times and only really found Cisse at the back post once. To sum the above up; He works hard but what else does he actually bring? I don't expect him to be a Ginola or Robert etc, but howay man, put a few decent crosses in now and again.

sunderland v Newcastle United (a) 21/10/2012

Hope Pardew saying "They have some players who could get in our team" does not spur them lot on...nervous as ever. Would love Steven Taylor to pop up at the far post and notch a 1-0 winner in the 92minute. Fist pumping in front of the mackems while he runs 2 laps of the pitch. Pardew fist pumping in the direct of MoN. Wonder what will fly down to the mackem fans from our new heights? "Balti Pie, over the wall, bottle of piss, over the wall"- 756 replies

Who is the best/your favourite player in the premier league
GeordieMark replied to Andrew's topic in Newcastle Forum
Yaya Toure. I also like Rooney's style of play, such a fantastic player. Shame his personality is that of a skidmark. -
Happy Birthday, big man. Hope he turns in the first of his 3-per season performances next Sunday.
-
Would like Debuchy and a centre half. Douglas is mentioned alot, never seen him play like. Seen him batter some people and the referee though

Shane Ferguson tearing apart international opposition

He's quick, got a good cross on him. Shame he started at left back against Man Utd, he was always going to be in for a hard time in what isnt his best position against a team with numerous class wingers. Should be dropping Jonas for him in some of the home games against the lesser teams, see how he fairs on the left wing. Did well against Bordeaux and Man Utd (a) in the left wing position. -
Cheers :-) - Abeid has dropped off the radar unfortunately when it comes to first team, hopefully he can pick it back up and turn it around, seems to be set on staying according to his Twitter - Pardew wants to loan him out which may be good for him.
-
Yeah I know, but Pardew is constantly saying Sammy is the best out of the reserves or more likely to make the step up. Each time I have watched Abeid, everything goes through him, he can pass, score, dribble. Sammy is like a headless chicken. Barring a goal v Scunthorpe over a year ago.

Newcastle sign four year shirt deal with ''Wonga''
GeordieMark replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
I prefer the away games simply because we stand throughout. I for one would try and get my season ticket moved into any "standing section". People who are against it, simply look at how many games for how many decades people stood and compare that v tragedies suffered at matches. If safety precautions are met then there is no problem. -
Abeid should be ahead of Sammy Ameobi in regards to promotion to the first team...Sammy has quick feet - head down and run. 3 years time he will be at Donny.

If we have a full strength side out, we should win. Should. But you know how it is in a derby, some players may go into hiding and not fancy it. Cisse didn't do much in the last one, granted it was his first, but this is his first away one. Might be wise to stick Shola in.- 756 replies
