1. There seems to be general agreement with a large degree of disagreement over the minutiae of the argument. Which is just about par for the course on here

    34257

I 97.9% agree with that statement, you complete jizz-bolt!

    34292

I agree with Alex. Strangely, I miss Ross Gurko.

Aaprilla's foreskin is nowhere near as entertaining..... :nufc:

BTW, who was dot.bom in a previous life? Or 80-2 for that matter? :nufc:

  2. I consider them an irrelevance to be honest.

    34111

Naive I think. It's true that they have little political power, but they are still the living embodiment of the class system. A soceity not fundamentally based on freedom or merit, but class and privilege.

And then of course they are always there in the media. We are expected to respect Charle's idiotic viewpoints, and genuflect to the Queen. We are expected to mourn when one of these parasites die.

Well fuck that. Down with the monarchy!

    34174

Really? Who says? If he is a stupid man, tell him so, plenty of others do.

I usually think that its those who are most concerned about the existence of a percieved class system that are most concerned about their place within it.

    34194

Not at all, just a bit bored waiting for the bell to go.....

They do piss me right off mind but I agree their are bigger issues to worry about - like the plight of NUFC for one.

    34201

How about we abolish the monarchy and employ them as our manager and coaching staff. You get rid of them "ruling" the country and we get a step up in class in terms of manager and coaches from the current shower of shite!

    34202

Hmmm. I think they would make better corner posts and corner flags really, I'll do the coaching.

Question though - Zara Phillips - Would you or wouldn't you?

  6. The lad's a retard, which makes me think he might be Charlie's after all.

I mean you go to the most expensive private school in the country, and you still have to cheat on you're HISTORY OF ART A level exam paper in order to get into the army?

One of the things I hate about living in this country, I'm not even a citizen, I am a 'subject' of these fuckwits.

Bring down the monarchy I say.

  7. How many people do you reckon wouldn't think that describes them?

    That's to khay, not Gemmill!

    33275

I thought Kevin was gaelic for "a bit thick" tbh.

    That's my experience anyways.

    :)

  8. Terry Mac may be right that he's a canny bloke

    32580

I doubt he is right about this. It amazes me that many people have this perception he's an alright bloke. I have seen nothing to convince me that he isn't a complete cunt, if I'm honest.

    32585

That's why I said 'he may be right'.

    32589

Aye, I know, it wasn't aimed at you.

I just getting a bit narky because I am so sick of the shit we have to put up with at the moment, it would be better if Souness and his cronies said nothing. Actions speak louder than words, after all. And those actions speak volumes.

Seriously, Souness's record now is unbeleivably shocking. Even his greatest critic coud not have predicted he would do this bad - I certainly didn't. I just want him to go, now, so I can look forward again. :icon_lol:

  9. Terry Mac may be right that he's a canny bloke

  10. Only sticking up for his mate like everyone else would do.

Canny read. I do feel a bit for Souness you know, I genuinly think he's a decent bloke who has the best interests of NUFC at heart. Sadly he's just a poor manager tactically and that lets him down. Nothing he can really do it, its a fact of life. Theres not a chance that he isn't giving his all to the club, but a combination of bad luck and poor management lets us down.

    32559

I must admit I felt the same way but then I think that may be us getting sentimental and falling for the propaganda hook, line and sinker.

Everyone in the world is likeable for their own reasons but this man is a bully, an emotional cripple with low self confidence. If Terry Mac chooses to believe the hard man facade of a weak and pathetic character then he's doing his job well.

    32563

Perhaps, but his bullying, as you put it, its done for the club. Thats how he sees it anyway. At both here and Blackburn he got rid of the lads with chips on their shoulders or general bad attitudes - he may have gone about this in the wrong way but he's done it to create a better, more harmonious club.

I certainly wouldn't go about things the way he has, but I definetly think he does it for the right reasons.

    *Thanks Graeme for the £50 :icon_lol: *

    32564

I am certain that I care more for the club than Souness. Difference is, I'm not getting millions to ruin it.

Unbelievable that some people could fall for this sentimental bollocks, but clearly they have. Poor Gwaemme, nearly crying after leading us to a humiliating slaughter at Cardiff. Diddums.

  11. He's still not deliberately setting out to 'ruin' the club.

He's stupid, but he's not THAT stupid...

    31720

When you think it increses his chances of the sack he really would have to be stupid to be deliberately shite! :icon_lol:

    31737

Don't know. There's no chance of him getting an extension on his contract, and I reckon he is finished as a top level manager. So he may as well be shite abd get a nice pay off! Nice work if you can get it!

  12. Gol has a point....

PL, you're getting very close to having an 'agenda'. No one is doubting that Souness is a crap manager....

I very much doubt he's deliberately trying to ruin the club!

    31683

I don't think PL meant he was doing it deiberately, although it does look like it sometimes. He is ruining us though, probably just the effect of being an incompetent manager with a terrible personality.

As for having an agenda, well why not have an agenda. We all want what's best for the club, and for me that means Souness out NOW!

I still haven't seen us win a game since January! To be honest it's getting unreal.

  13. Robson was sacked after finishing 5th. Then why is 6th now acceptable ?

    31603

Don't forget, we were going to get relegated under Robson.

If we can get to 6th place, after spending an extra 40 million of course, then it is a great coup, financially.....

Problem is, already, it is going to be incredibly difficult to get that high after such a disastrous start. And looking at our short- and long-term form, is it impossible we get relegated?

I have it on great authority from everyone, that relegation is almost literally impossible. Then again, I have pretty much predicted where NUFC would finish up over the last ten seasons. I hope I'm wrong this time. ;)

  14. An INJURED Bowyer is much BETTER than a fully FIT Amday FAYE.

    31590

A crippled Bowyer would be better.

And would the person calling everyone idiots like to add his explanation as to why Faye ALSO started ahead of the fully fit Clark and N'Zogbia and why a full back played as a winger ahead of said midfielders, i'd love to hear how we're idiots on this one!

People don't need to find excuses to get Souness sacked, the facts and everything the fuckwitt does is the reason to want him sacked. He's so bad i don't ever have to make up or exagerate anything to say he should be sacked, merely sticking to the facts is more than enough to have him out in any intelligent persons eyes.

    31594

Tut tut. I'm rather tired of your blatent anti-Souness views. It's obvious the guy needs more time.

4pm next Sunday is time enough like.

  15. I knew he would fit in well at NUFC, at least he can keep Dyer company for best part of the season. Tell me, is there something wrong with our medical and backroom team?

    31420

We were talking about this yesterday and there has to be something going wrong with the physio/medical team as no other club seems to have quite as many hamstring injuries as we get. I dunno what they're doing wrong but I think they need to have a serious look at their regimes.

    31463

Can't be coincidence. Souness seems to have hired a team of quacks around him, the amount of clueless backroom staff he has is embarassing.

Which brings up another problem - it's going to be expensive to sack them all and replace them, which I hope will happen very shortly.

  16. I don't want to start a thread for nothing, but, well, this board is pretty quiet anyways....

I missed yesterday because I was having a great break in the South of France. After we signed Owen, I kind of considered spending a small fortune by rebooking my flight home a day earlier, and begging my brother to have my ticket back, but decided against it because I thought I'd just jinx the team anyway. I listened to the results on Sky on Saturday and have to admit I was not surpised by the result, in fact I nearly put a 1-1 bet on the bookies.

However, reading the match report in the Sunday Sun this afternoon I must admit we sounded dire. I was looking at the line up and just couldn't understand it:

Taylor as right back - what a predictable waste of his talent, Souness will wreck him.

Carr in midfield - WTF? Also see above.

Faye starting - he should never kick another ball for us.

Faye playing in front of Parker - WTF???? I would have Souness killed for this, let alone sacked.

Then the predicatable things - too negative (see formation), Boumsong fucks up, Taylor plays badly, we have a player sent off (doesn't seem to be disputed). Oh yes, and we have another hamstring injury.

So is that a fair reflection of the match? Because if it is, for God's sake, surely we all agree Souness simply HAS to go NOW. After spending 40 odd million quid, we are still very much relegation contenders.

Blackburn is going to be tricky - given we have only won 5 away games in over 2 seasons, we'll be lucky to get a point. Then Man Citeh at home, once an expected win, but no more under Pearce (we haven't won at home since my last holiday - early March I think). One point maximum from them I fear. So realistically, we might, at best, have 4 points from 7 games, or even less.

So come on you Souness admirers and supporters - tell me how us deluded skeptics are wrong? Or are there actually any people left who will admit that they think he is still the right man for the job (player's posession/body part obviously excluded due to the fact he is clearly either a wum or an idiot).

  17. Get checked out, you can have Arrhythmia without realising it.

rrhythmias are disorders of the regular rhythmic beating of the heart. They're common — as many as 2.2 million Americans are living with atrial fibrillation (one type of rhythm problem). Arrhythmias can occur in a healthy heart and be of minimal consequence. They also may indicate a serious problem and lead to heart disease, stroke or sudden cardiac death. The goal of this site is to help the public and healthcare professionals learn more about arrhythmias, and ultimately reduce disability and death from heart disease and stroke. Do your part by learning the facts and taking the steps needed to understand and control arrhythmias.

that'll put his mind at ease :D:razz:

    27810

    My thoughts entirely!

Seriously, I'm relatively medically qualified, but I have to say it is impossible to diagnose on a message board. You're going to have to pluck up the courage and see a doctor - probably your GP. To put your own mind at ease, you need an examination including an ECG. But chances are you are absolutely fine with nothing to worry about - especially if you're young.

And in the remote chance you're not, and I stress remote, their will be plenty of things the medical staff can do for you. Either way your on a winner. Book the appointment on Monday.

  18. Souness for England!

    27696

You could only seriously want that if you were Scottish (for various reasons).

Umm, when was the last time England scored in the first half?

    27740

Half Scottish actually, don't care about England. But the main reason would be he's not managing us! :D

  19. Very harsh. Great save by Gordon, and would have probably got the rebound but for the deflection.

    27720

Listening to the radio as I played on the computer, thought I'd come down and watch a famous victory in the last 20 minutes.

Bollocks - I'm a jinx. Be thankful I'm not at SJP next week.

    27723

Any chance of us arranging a collection to buy you a middlesbrough season ticket. ( i don't think your skills would be needed at the mackems)

    27724

Yes, but you're going to have to pay me a LOT. :D

  20. Very harsh. Great save by Gordon, and would have probably got the rebound but for the deflection.

  21. will the clusless shit for brains idiots like ugly mackem plz explain who they would play in midfield for the fulham game.?......i wait to beenlightened by your incredible wisdom!

Stop being a complete idiot and realise that the fulham game will be tough, and quite a battle.

I think souness will have to win 3 of the next 5 games to be "oncourse"

Regardless of what the monkeys on here rant and rave.  stop pissing into yer nappies man.

    27574

So what happens if he is not on course? What happens, for instance, if we get 1 point from the next two matches? Would you give Souness the year regardless. Nice abuse btw.

  22. Renton,

I live up here. One reason I moved was so I could go and see Newcastle play at home and to get to know the city of the team I've always supported.

I was born in the NorthEast, my father is from here, and I have family up here. I have always loved it. I happened to grow up in the south and lived in London for a few years.

During all that time I supported Newcastle. No, not a soopafan, just a fan. I watched us get a beating countless times in various areas of London.

I have a problem with some of the insular attitudes here. In order for us to be a successful club, it's essential that you have fans from outside the immediate area. I think unfortunately some fans have shot themselves in the foot taking the piss out of ManU for this very thing. They have realised the financial benefits of having a global fanbase. I think to be fair, we have now, but they had a head start.

I understand your objections to fickle fans who change allegiance, that is inexcusable, but I'm sure you would rather we more like Real Madrid than Blyth Spartans (no offense to B.S.)

And to the people who trot out lines like "I hate cockneys" or "I hate southerners", you are no better than Messers Winner or Sewell and consequently have no right to object to their comments.

    27554

I was only asking, no need to get on the defensive. I have noticed from experience that usually the people who blame the fans for poor results don't actually go to games. If that's not you, fine.

Oh, and I don't hate southerners, I have known and worked with many over the years, most of whom were sound. I hate patronising cockney wankers, like Sewell and Winner. There's a difference. And you have to admit, there are a lot of this ilk in London, which frankly, is a shit hole.
