Think people will draw their own conclusions to be honest. I very much doubt you even begin to convince yourself that's the case. My take on it was that Cameron made a few speeches a while back on this very subject once it became clear the EU commission were getting involved with this issues (Amazon, Starbucks et al and their tax avoidance techniques). He did this safe in the knowledge that, if action was taken, he could take the credit, whereas if not, he could blame the EU and use it to further his agenda re: EU reform. I don't have an issue with that as such (and I agree with him that the EU does need reforming). I just take issue with your claim he was instrumental in bringing this about.

The second question I asked was a request to give details re: the answer you gave initially which was a bold statement with no specifics. I asked for some details and you gave none. If you're going to make a claim it's perfectly reasonable to be asked to back it up. Anyone reading back can see that's the exact chain of events, Balatty.

It was nowt Just thought I'd quote you so it got moved onto this page too so more people would see it.

Some heartbreaking stories in there. I was in Liverpool the night it happened, which sort of made the memory of what happened all the stranger and almost surreal.

Well the architecture is similar, yes. Same applies to all the Cyclades though really. Santorini is canny different to Mykonos apart from that though. Even in terms of appearance. The former is built on the spectacular remains of a ancient volcano. The caldera edge faces west so you get amazing sunsets all along it and all the settlements on the west side of the island look over steep cliffs which isn't the case with Mykonos. You also said they were basically the same (without alluding specifically to the appearance) which is also incorrect given Mykonos is world famous for its party scene whereas Santorini is a much more laid back, couples and families type of place.

I asked you a question based on a claim you made and (as everyone can observe) you told to do my own research, you daft tit

Mike Ashley: I'm not selling until we win something (or finish top 4)
Alex replied to Makom's topic in Newcastle Forum
He might as well have said I won't sell as long as it provides a revenue stream which also promotes my brand around the world, which is what he probably meant. Still, we've a very exciting close season in prospect -

It's bollocks anyway though (the selling thing) as it's completely dependent on a buyer and has sweet fuck all to do with whether we've just won something or not (or qualified for the CL). -

In what ways?

Thing is, even if Ashley was being sincere, which is highly doubtful (obviously), he probably change his mind again anyway as soon it stared costing too much money. -
The European Commission's investigations into Amazon are the reason they've finally given way to pressure. How's that down the UK government? Take your time.

100% accurate, fatty thoughts.

I wondered about that because he loved sharks as well.

That Casa St James' thing. It couldn't be Casa Santiago, because that would been more understated and a bit clever. No, it had to be the very mark of the bloke himself, i.e. about as subtle as a brick
