  1. It's chilling like.
  2. He knows Rafa won't agree to sign without signings coming in so it's his get out, i.e. the manager wouldn't sign a new contract so I couldn't risk investing much money. He'll bank on Rafa being able to keep us up and he'll take it from there. It's typical of his short-termist approach, i.e. just another calculated gamble to get the club through the next 12 months or so. Genuinely hate him
  3. He's absolutely soup-da-loop though. What's their excuse?
  4. Fucking hell. That's unbelievable
  5. Makes a change from blaming Labour I suppose
  6. I argued he was when his refusal to compromise on a few things (i.e "being principled") probably ensured the Tories just about got away with it at the last General Election. I honestly think he'll have been delighted with the gallant loser tag and was shitting it when the exit polls suggested it was going to be a lot closer than expected.
  7. I've thought for a good while now he doesn't want it. Which makes his staying in situ all the worse.
  8. Given the absolute chaos in UK politics the EU have to make provisions for that being a likely outcome now.
  9. Yeah, it's like Groundhog Day with Ashley.
  10. That Football365 piece (https://www.football365.com/news/newcastle-the-club-where-tomorrow-never-comes) PaddockLad just posted in another thread reckons we didn't even meet WBA's release clause which at £16m is something like the going rate for a good Championship striker. Not to mention his not even being amongst Benitez's initial list of desired striking options.
  11. Excellent piece. Depressing to read but nice to see some decent analysis beyond the usual cliches thrown at the club and its supporters. Here's the link to the actual article rather than just the homepage btw: https://www.football365.com/news/newcastle-the-club-where-tomorrow-never-comes
  12. The difference between you and I is that I would have absolutely no qualms about repeating anything on here to your face. And you know it

  14. Yeah, him taking the piss out of the people he's meant to represent then you metaphorically rimming him. Can't wait
  15. Absolutely. All the good team spirit wiped out in one fell swoop by the Football Genius (c) As Kitman alludes to, it's looking like Rafa staying until his current contract runs out is about as good as it'll get.
  16. That'll be why he was claiming we'd get a cracking deal a year ago I guess
  17. That's exactly what I thought. It's like something a five year old would come up with
  18. This is what will happen as well. It's fucking ludicrous but that's pretty much the way he's run the club from the off.
