I thought Tonali for Sean was harsh on Tonali because he was so good against Chelsea but Howe also has to manage their minutes with three games in a week. Longstaff gets stick on Twitter because he’s not as technical as our other midfielders but the manager got it right. And although Sean has obvious weaknesses in his game, we do tend to win more games than we lose when he plays. Sometimes you have to sacrifice your more talented technical players and choose the right team for the right opposition.

These last two results have been coming. We’ve been playing well since the Fulham game, just failing to take our chances. We struggle against low block defences but always rise to the occasion against the stronger teams when we have a bit more space to play in behind. Arsenal were gash today. Credit to our lads for not allowing them to play, but even when we were forced to see the game out in the second half by dropping off they didn’t really create anything. That one header from Rice at the end was the only moment I thought they might score but even that failed to hit the target.

I assume it begins when the female, physically weaker, establishes a position of emotionally/psychological dominance and the bloke is so scared to lose her that he gets used to the physical abuse too. If he stands up to her and uses his natural advantage, he risks ending the relationship.

It’s a hard one to get your head around. Most men have a physical advantage over women so how does a bloke find himself physically abused by his Mrs? If he defends himself, you’d think abuse stops. It’s must start with verbal/emotional abuse

The big Joe/little Joe axis on our left with Tonali CDM and a Bruno a little further forward with Isak up front and Gordon on the right could be the way to set up against Arsenal. Barnes is a great finisher but looks more effective off the bench against tired legs. He doesn’t put the work in off the ball that a lot of our forwards get through and games often seem to pass him by when he starts

Someone said they didn’t like the tactics. I didn’t it mind at all. I wouldn’t have liked it at 1-0. But we had enough of a cushion to sit back and let them try and break us down instead of pressing like madmen for 90 minutes and potentially run out of steam. They weren’t good enough to create any real big chances other than that one that Jao Felix had
