  1. Muto played for 1 game in the World Cup & was subbed off after 82 minutes
  2. Rafa “I said last year, and I am saying this year again, that when you are talking about so much money from the TV, it is crucial to stay in the Premier League if you want to compete. “If you go down, the next year is even more difficult because the difference in money is massive. Hopefully, we can do well in the next weeks and we can improve the squad enough to at least be competitive next year.”
  3. Would it be wrong to put money on us being relegated this season ? Just asking for a friend
  4. Rafa was asked "will there be money to spend now Mbemba's been sold" his reply was "ask Lee Charnley" Rafa Benitez: “Is the current squad good enough for what we need? “I don’t think so. “It needs additions and that is clear – it is clear what we have to do. There could be a new signing in time for Portugal but then I was expecting things before… ”As I have said before ( Many times!), if we have new players coming it will be good and it will be better than nothing (at this late stage). “As a manager, you would have liked to have seen these players one month ago…but if we can do something (now), it will be better than nothing.”
  5. I suppose a points better than none
  6. If match goers could print one of these out on A4 paper (fit in your wallet) get it out a fixed time for a televised game i'm sure Ashley would love it
  7. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/chi-onwurah-mike-ashley-petition-14943805 The petition states: “Football is an integral part of Newcastle upon Tyne’s social, economic and cultural wellbeing ... fans of Newcastle United are heavily invested both financially and emotionally in the success of the team. “The current manager Rafa Benitez needs the support of both fans and the club’s owner ... this support should include investment in players, training facilities and community engagement.”
  8. I'm looking forward to Rafa telling us Ashley is a massive mierda de casa
  9. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitez-unlikely-hold-more-14938338 Rafa unlikely to hold more contract talks until the window closes
  10. "Since we beat Arsenal 2-1 at St James Park on 15 April and confirmed PL safety, 98 days have passed and our progress has been to sign a freebie midfielder from relegated Swansea"
  11. But he must have made £ millions from the free worldwide tv advertising over the time he's been here
  12. Free tv advertising has earned him £millions it doesn't cost him anything & as long as we finish 17th or better he rakes the money in. It's a horrible situation but that's why he won't invest or sell.
  13. I feel for you mate I really do its a crying shame it's come to this I know hate is a strong word but I hate the fucker for what he's done to our club as you say Fuck him
  14. I'vs said for a while if Ashley could some how avoid having a football team at St James Park he would. He's only interested in the free worldwide tv advertising for SD. The football is something he has to put up with.
  15. This from Caulkin With Aleksandar Mitrovic close to completing a £20 million move to Fulham, there is money to sign Salomón Rondón, of West Bromwich Albion, but Newcastle need more. ‘Benítez wants another five players — unlikely — but even though there will be additions, they will not be from the top of his list.
  16. https://www.themag.co.uk/2018/07/rafa-benitez-escalates-battle-with-mike-ashley-great-news-newcastle-united/ Rafa Benitez: “Next year the target will be to stay up. “The reality is that the Premier League is difficult…and every year the others spend money and bring new players.
  17. About time from the Chronicle https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/contradictions-heart-mike-ashleys-newcastle-14928479
  18. As you say Alex excellent piece but depressing
  19. There was an article the other day with Rafa explaining it doesn't matter who the manager is, the club still needs strengthening. I think he was meaning him not signing a new contract is no excuse for Ashley not allowing the team to be strengthened.
  20. This before yesterday's game https://www.themag.co.uk/2018/07/a-despairing-rafa-benitez-cant-make-it-clearer-i-have-tried-to-do-my-best-but-we-will-see-later-newcastle-united/ "Mike Ashley said (on the last day of the season) every last penny was available. I don't do the numbers so I don't know exactly what that means. We are fine in terms of profit so maybe's you have to speak to Lee Charnley he has the numbers. I am doing my best in these conditions that's all I can say"
