We're 3 points behind Norwich mate unless we beat them 4-0 at their place we're still in the bottom 3.
-
Time to face the truth this team isn't good enough for the Premiership. The 2nd game of the season we dropped to 15th position & have been no higher since. In fact we've only attained 15th position once more since & have spent 21 games in the bottom 3. We have been rock bottom twice. The lack of investment in the team has finally come back to haunt us.
-
You do realise Norwich is an away game & we've lost our last 7 away games
-
No the ref said "if he put it back on like a good lad he'd let him off" of course he got a yellow.
-
Due to him getting his 10th yellow card of the season Colback will miss the Norwich & Southampton games. He might as well have worn a green shirt today for what use he was.
-
It's really hard to see now were enough points will come from, next up Norwich & Southampton away. Then we have 7 days that will see us play Swansea & Man City at home & Liverpool away. Even if we do well against Norwich & Southampton (they're away games I know) I can't help thinking those 3 games in 7 days will really hurt us . Any anger you have must be directed at Ashley & Co for not acting quicker regarding McClaren.
-
Aye I agree he should have been brought in earlier to give us a fighting chance. "Rafa the manager we nearly had"
-
Although Souness is a twat what he's just said about players "taking responsibility" is right.

Have a beer settle yourself down.
-
Assuming they pick up no more points. By the time we play Palace there's only Villa & Spurs left neither team will be doing us any favours everything hinges on a win tomorrow.
-
Still think they've to much of a head start on us we need 9 points just too break even with them. I think we've a fairly tough run in the Man City, Liverpool, Spurs will be hard games. A win tomorrow is not just about 3 points it's also a morale boost & the belief that we can win games, lose & it's probably goodnight Vienna, the Premiership & almost certainly Rafa. The only glimmer of hope to come out of that scenario is it could be goodnight Ashley & his croanies.
-
I did one before based on the 28 game points average ended up with us & the Makems relegated along with villa of course. This game tomorrow is an essential win it's going to be a nervy bad tempered game I just hope we get an early goal (I know) to settle us down. A draw will be better for them than us I just hope we throw everything at them from the off.

Last 6 games form Norwich D-L-L-L-D-W 5 Points Toon L-W-L-L-L-L 3 Points Makems L-D-W-L-D-D 6 Points
-
If you didn't think it was, tomorrow's game is a MUST win game now.
-
I'm still puzzled as to why some people think it's not a must win game for us tomorrow. Sunderland are a point ahead & have a much better goal difference all a draw does is leave that the same with one less home game of course it's a must win game.

All eyes on West Brom v Norwich today.

"Defoe's had a calf strain but will train with the rest of the group this afternoon"
-
The 2 presser's tomorrow should be tasty Fat Sam's is first thing in the morning Rafa's is at lunchtime they hate each other.
-
It could make the difference between watching a rubbish championship side managed by another one of Ashley's mates. Or a Premiership side with a good manager possibly winning a cup next season.
-
That's the other thing isn't it relying on other teams to do us a favour
-
Even if it's 12 points if we only get the draw on Sunday it's still hard too see we're we get the remaining (11?) points
-
Home games Makems Swansea Man City Palace Spurs Away Games Norwich Southampton Liverpool Villa We're running out of games, I still think we need to take all 3 points on Sunday our away form is shocking (7 loses in a row now) & it's hard to see we're the next win could be, if we don't win on Sunday. It's a confidence booster as well as 3 points an odd point here & there won't be enough.
-
I know we talk about derbies being "big games" but Sundays game could be a matter of life or death for NUFC. If we lose we're potentially staring relegation in the face. Probably losing one of the best managers we never had. I can't see us coming straight back up, who knows what manager Charnley would go for in the Championship I can't imagine many of our big earners sticking around. We could potentially turn into Middlesbrough or worse. Yet if we win we face the prospect of having one of the best managers in the league. He'll be given a decent budget & a chance to totally re-build the football side of the club. That's why whatever happens we MUST take all 3 points on Sunday for the future of the club.
-
There's been 12 meetings between them & they don't get on. ALLARDYCE WINS 3, BENITEZ WINS 7, DRAWS 2
-
Considering we've lost our last 7 away games it's highly doubtful, the points are going to somehow have to come from the home games. Just seen the home game against Man City has been scheduled for Tuesday 19th April 7.45 ko on SKY this will be inbetween Swansea (h) & Liverpool (a)
