  1. Breaking: Aston Villa are hoping to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson after opening talks in a deal worth around £20m.
  2. Newcastle United official statement on Martin Dubravka injury: ‘Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka will miss the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season after suffering a heel injury. The 31-year-old is likely to be sidelined for several weeks (8weeks) meaning he will also miss Slovakia’s UEFA Nations League fixtures against Czech Republic and Israel next month.
  3. Big Andy hasn't scored a Premiership goal for 29 months apparently
  4. Big Joe missing (I know) & Little Dwight knackered. That just leaves Big Andy as the main striker & he can barely play 45 minutes. I wonder if theres anyone out there that could improve the team ?
  5. Good news lads it looks like Gayle will be staying to see out the remaining year left on his contract
  6. I doubt I'll have any real interest except for the comedy value of Sports Direct United.
  7. Sports Direct United will be in the Championship then. The club will be half price
  8. Extracts from The Mail report on Monday: London-based Dentons are acting as a filter for Newcastle owner Mike Ashley. Up to 50 enquiries have been fielded since the Saudi-led takeover collapse. Mike Ashley will only negotiate with proposed buyers of Newcastle United once his lawyers have convinced him they are genuine. London-based Dentons are acting as a filter for all those who express an interest in buying the club and sources claim up to 50 such enquiries have been fielded since the Saudi-led takeover collapsed two weeks ago. Ashley and his trusted lieutenant Justin Barnes will only get involved if Dentons advise that an approach is serious and those interested have the financial backing to complete a deal. That means the owner has not yet had any contact with the Singapore group [BNG] who submitted a £280million offer over the weekend. But the offer is below the £300m asking price and there is caution given the investor group have released a statement confirming their offer, raising the suspicion of this being an easy publicity grab. 50 enquires
  9. I can honestly see the PL saying something like. "We have no comment on the Newcastle takeover as the bid was withdrawn before we had a chance to reach a decision"
  10. It might make the fans feel like they're doing something. But I doubt the PL will give a toss.
  11. The PL dont want this to go through, that's the bottom line.
  12. Its is & will remain Sports Direct United for the forseeable future. I doubt Ashley will ever get the £300 million he wants for the club. This was his last chance to get that. He'll now be double pissed off. He hates the fans & no doubt hates the PL as much now. I would imagine if someone could scrape together £250 million he'd try & sell it to them. He wouldnt give a toss wether they'd invest in the team, traing ground or SJP. It would be his final "FUCK YOU" to the fans & the PL.
  13. The last bit of the statement from PIF on Thursday confirms that its finished. "We would like to say that we truly appreciated your incredible expressions of support and your patience throughout this process. We are sorry it is not to be. We wish the team and everyone associated with it much good luck and success.” It was a lengthy statement with apologies to the fans. I think the deals finished. They along with the fans just want some answers as to why the PL stalled for time.
  14. The Independent Football Ombudsman getting involved now The IFO are encouraging the Premier League to make a statement to the fans. I understand that the Newcastle United Supporters Trust has requested that the Premier League should make a statement to fans explaining how the case was handled. This seems to be a reasonable request and I will advise the Premier League accordingly.
  15. NUFC 360... Mike Ashley will allow Henry Mauriss to buy #NUFC for the same terms he agreed with Staveley’s group, but is still waiting for the American to provide proof of funds & pay a non-refundable deposit to enable him to progress to the next stage of the process.
  16. For 17 weeks we had HOPE. Now the situation is one of hopelessness
  17. Premier league, Championship or lower does anyone really care now. Ashley is lumbered with an albatross around his neck. There will be next to nowt for transfers (no change there) Bruce will probably get a long contract. Maxi will probably be away. I was looking forward to my son taking me back to SJP if the takeover had happened. Now I wouldnt go back if I was paid to
  18. Let's not forget Ashley has just pocketed £17 million for doing relatively nothing. He may well be distraught he didnt get his £300 million. But he's still come out of this with possibly Bruce's transfer budget for the summer.
  19. No I dont expect an apology off them. But they must have some sort of comment to make, considering Masters said he expected a decision shortly. That was about a fortnight ago. To just ignore it like it never happened is amateurish. It doesnt look very good for future investors in the PL if this is how they conduct themselves
