  1. BJ to address the nation at 8:30 PM tonight
  2. @Meenzer have you been for a run today mate was it any quieter ?
  3. BJ's daily news conference is going to be later than usual as the COBRA meeting is still going on .
  4. This is another reason why we have to lockdown the country
  5. I'm with you mate. Miss T was told off her boss last night that school would open today for 1 kid. They have to get the caretaker in to open & close the school, they also need a minimum of 2 teachers in for safeguarding issues. It's almost the same all week 1 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday & 5 on Friday.
  6. I'm fucking annoyed Miss T has had to go & take her sister shopping ( which is fairy enuf) but her sisters bloke was supposed to come home for a couple of hours to look after the 3 kids. The stupid twat wont answer his phone so theyve had to take the 3 kids with them & Miss T is sitting in the car with them as we speak. He's a fucking prick
  7. Master T 's doing an apprenticeship at McDonalds has just found out via twitter they're closing all stores from 7 pm tomorrow. He's been in touch with his boss & it's TRUE. It looks like the Lockdown is on.
  8. Social distancing at Seaton Sluice
  9. I still think some people need to be TOLD what to do rather than advised
  10. People are either fucking stupid or ignorant apparently Whitley Bay, Seaton Sluice & Blyth beaches are supposed to be really busy. Apparently they are queuing out the door at the Coastline Chippy at Blyth Beach. Ridley Park in Blyth is supposed to have been busy also, as well, too.
  11. Miss T's just spent a few of hours in the kitchen making quiches, corned beef pies, & cakes.
  12. Reports of loads of kids on the streets of Ashington, Bedlington, down at Blyth beach last night. Also going shopping with mams & dads. Shirley B.J. will have to call a lockdown for theirs & everyones safety. The penny still hasn't dropped for some people how serious this is.
  13. Anyone in need of a good laugh should really watch this it's a bit dated but really funny
  14. You going for a run today @Meenzer if so can you let us know what it's like out there cheers mate
  15. I know mate but it's about keeping everyone safe. You'd never forgive yourself in you were in the park or on the beach & some dickhead came walking past coughing over the kids
  16. Ah that's my dilema I cant walk mate
  17. My mate who lives in Spain has been in the house since last weekend. They have been told they have to stay in for 14 days. I can do the staying in no bother as I normally have my hibernation period as I call it, from November to March when the cold weather comes.
  18. Pubs & clubs rammed full of people it's a perfect breeding ground for this or any virus. I sort of get the defiant attitude but I still think it's a risk probably not worth taking.
  19. No if your over 70 your not allowed starting this weekend mate. He's a tough old bugger but he had a bad dose of flu over the Xmas so obviously I'd rather he stayed in.
  20. Talking to me Dad yesterday he's 83 he's not looking forward to this staying in as he's used to going out everyday for a little walk even if its just to get the papers. He lives down in Cheshire there's plenty of family members to make sure he's enough food & meds etc. He has a fully enclosed back yard I said if he needs to go out just to go out in the yard. Mrs T offered to go & pick him up & bring him up here but he's set in his ways & wouldnt have any of it. So it'll have to be daily phone calls to check he's ok.
  21. Until he comes out & says they're shutting pubs & clubs people are going to continue going. Tonight Town will no doubt be busy as people will be saying " I'm not staying out the pubs fuck that" we all know what it's like at the weekend especially. Yet it's the perfect breeding ground for the virus. I'm with Ewerk not that I particularly liked her but I'd rather have Theresa May overseeing this.
  22. Miss T is a reception teacher & reckons it'll be virtually business as usual at her school on Monday, now that they've listed the " Key Workers" . The schools in a rural area with a lot of kids living on working farms. Also quiet a few of the kids have one or both parents working in the medical profession.
  23. Pictures from the Chronicle mate
