So it's ok for reception, year 1 & year 6 pupils to return to school. Yet all other year groups are scrapped . I find this rather strange as there'll be no transition days as pupils must remain in their "classroom bubble" https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-52969679

London live now there must be 1,000,000+ there. No social distancing & the majority not wearing any kind of mask. I'm convinced in 2 weeks there'll be a 2nd spike

The Independent report: A group of 16 cross-party MPs and peers have written to the government raising concern over the threat of sportswashing in the UK amid the Saudi Arabia-funded takeover of Newcastle United. The politicians – including former Labour leader Neil Kinnock and Conservative MP Sir Peter Bottomley – have said that the £300m takeover, which would see the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia acquire an 80 per cent stake in the club, is a vehicle to distract from the country’s human rights record. The letter, seen by The Independent, cites allegations surrounding the regime’s involvement in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the jailing of human rights activists, the use of online espionage and Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the Yemeni Civil War. The group, spearheaded by the Fifa Ethics and Regulations Watch, urge the government to “take an active lead” in preventing sportswashing in the UK and develop a more stringent fit-and-proper-person test to stop the alignment of companies and regimes with poor human rights records with the Premier League.’ -

Going into the 9th week & we've as much idea if this will go through as week 1. Just let us know one way or another. The longer its drawn out the less likely it looks like it'll be passed. -

Starting to get less confident as each day goes by now. 3 weeks ago it felt like we were there. It now seems as far away as ever -

This from N.O. WTO have commented . . . “We can confirm that Qatar initiated a WTO dispute settlement case against Saudi Arabia in October 2018 regarding the protection of intellectual property rights and that a panel was established in December 2018 to review Qatar’s claims. The panel proceedings and panel process remain confidential until the final report is circulated to WTO members.” Someone on N.O. saying its published on the 11/12 June the wait goes on -

A friend of mine has been told that since last Friday night apparently the SD signage is quietly being removed from SJP. It's being done during the night so as not to attract attention around the ground during lockdown.Wether it's TRUE or not I've know idea but he said the person who told him lives in the city centre and wouldnt lie about this. Anyone else heard anything similar? -
Probably more dates to be added

The latest from .com Take Over Latest Thanks to everyone who has been in touch regarding our recent takeover update: Attempts to make sense of what is currently going on have resulted in nothing meaningful - although there's certainly substance to claims that other PL clubs aren't happy with the proposed deal. Whether that opposition in itself is enough to halt or derail the proposed purchase is another big unknown at this point. As a consequence, we're unable to say whether it's more or less likely to happen and the timescale for finding out - one way or the other - is a matter of guesswork. Clear as mud basically -
