I still think if SD had paid for advertising since Ashley bought the club the best part of that loan would have been cleared. Don't forget these last accounts say he took £33 million. The bottom line is the club's running on the bare bones now it doesn't cost him nothing he must be raking it in. If he wasn't making money out of the club he'd have sold up & pissed off long ago.

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread 2018 -2019
trooper replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
It's looking like Diame's away in the summer Mohamed Diame speaking to The Chronicle: “The situation (with my contract) is still the same, I need two more starts to get one extra year. “But, I spoke with the club, and when we were talking about my contract, I asked for two years, and they don’t want that. “We know what they want for this club, it is difficult to get an extension when you are over 30 here. It is not a problem for me, it is football and part of the job. “If I get the opportunity to stay, I will stay. “If not, I will go somewhere else and enjoy my football. “I don’t know (if I will still be at Newcastle next season) at all. “I am trying to enjoy it as much as I can because it’s amazing playing here with all the fans, and more when we have got an atmosphere like this and we are winning games. “I’m just trying to enjoy it as much as I can and after, we will see what happens. “I will be fine, of course, as I have said (before_, being a player who played for ten years in this country – it opens you a lot of doors and I will be fine. “But, as I’ve said since the beginning: I’m so happy here and I’m enjoying my days in Newcastle. So, we will see.” -
This £50 million that's being talked about would probably be split into 2 windows giving Rafa £25 million per window. This would be to buy players, pay the full term wage bill & any agents fees. They're taking the piss out of the bloke.

I understand that but the point I'm making is he would have written the loan off. It's a mere drop in the ocean to him & yet it's like an albatross around the club's neck.
-
In 2009 Ashley was looking to sell the club to Barry Moat for £100 million he must have being going to write the loan debt off then. If he was being honest (I know) about selling the club he could write that loan debt off today. It would then make the club a more realistic price to buyers . But with tagging the loan on to the asking price it makes the club an unrealistic price. I very much doubt he's any intention of selling anytime soon when he's got the club running on the bones of its arse.

£50 million would probably buy this club 2 Joselu's
-
If SD had paid for their advertising over Ashleys tenure the loan or best part of it should have been cleared by now.
-
Lee Charnley has said about permanent Rondon deal Firstly, he’s not our player so he will go back to West Brom and both he and his club will then decide on his future. Having said that, we haven’t ruled out trying to sign him but any deal would have to suit all parties. Looks like farewell Rondon.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rafa at Chelsea next season. If he's after winning the Champions League again.
-
Even if he was offered £50 million he'd have to incorporate agents fees & the players wage bill for the whole term of his contract. He'd probably end up with a couple of Joselu's out of £50 million

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6940875/Benitez-warns-Newcastle-hell-quit-club-doesnt-match-ambition.html Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez warns owner Mike Ashley he will quit if the club doesn't match his ambition as he reveals desire to win Champions League again before retiring at 70

https://www.themag.co.uk/2019/04/rafa-benitez-says-hed-rather-stay-at-home-than-accept-what-mike-ashley-is-offering-newcastle-united/ Rafa Benitez: “What I want is a job where I can enjoy competing. “If I cannot…maybe I have to stay at home and wait (for another one), I don’t know. “But at the moment, my idea is to have a team that can compete. “When I decided to stay here in the Championship, it was to compete to go back to the Premier League and try to be in the top ten, and after, try to go to Europe.

Rafa's been waiting a month so far for answers "I don’t want to give too much information. All I will say is that we had contact behind the scenes because we couldn’t be talking every week about our conversations. I was saying, ‘Concentrate on that, make sure we are safe’, but at the same time, we will do what we have to do. Now, we are in the same position we were in one month ago. That is it. Waiting for answers"

When Rafa goes theyll say "his requests were unreasonable"

This from the Mag more lies from Charnley & Ashley Back in 2013 when it was announced we were told (see below): This is a hugely exciting development for Newcastle United. We have one of football’s great stadiums and we are delighted to now be announcing plans for a training complex which will rival any in Europe. “Top players and top teams need top training and medical facilities. Our current training ground has served the Club very well but the new complex will give us all of the ingredients that we need to continue maintaining and enhancing the performance of elite footballers. “It will also be an added attraction when we are looking to recruit players.” Now this from Charnley Lee Charnley 18 April 2019 – as reported by Martin Hardy (one of a number of selected journalists invited to speak to Lee Charnley): “We are looking at a training ground building project that is potentially going to be between £15 m and £20million. “If you were to ask me now, do I think we are best served spending that on a new training facility or spending it on improving the team, now, today in the short-term, I think that money is best spent on the team. “We have revisited the plans that came out and we now have a different design. We have also got a different build structure. “In my experience, has a player turned round and said I’m not signing for Newcastle United because of your training facilities? No. Did it stop us getting promoted out of the Championship, did it stop us finishing tenth, did it stop us having a good season this season? No. “Is it something at some point in the future, if we could and it was the right time to spend the money, we would look at improving? Yes.” Rafa's never going to get what he wants & needs off these idiots Here's the link to the full article https://www.themag.co.uk/2019/04/must-read-mike-ashley-and-lee-charnley-shameless-with-training-ground-comments-newcastle-united/

It's not only "like it or lump it" to Rafa it's "like it or lump it" to everyone who supports the club. I hope him & Ashley if he turns up have some lovely things shouted at them.
-
Ashleyout.com now saying Charnley made that statement
-
A guy on N.O. reckons it's a genuine quote from Charnley if this proves to be right farewell & good luck Rafa. Btw if Charnley thinks this has been a good season he needs his head testing the slimy little toad
-
True but this has all the hallmarks of what happened with Shearer
-
It's not looking good is it ? George Caulkin at The Times: ‘Rafa Benítez has had no response from Newcastle United three weeks after telling the club’s hierarchy what it will take to keep him at St James’ Park beyond the end of this season. At Newcastle’s request, the manager submitted a wishlist in the week before their Premier League fixture at Arsenal on April 1, in the expectation that they would form the basis of contract negotiations. As of last night, he was still awaiting a reply, causing Benítez to seek clarification from the club; with only four games still to play, the clock is ticking. Three weeks after submitting his contract wish list to Newcastle United (at their request), Rafa Benitez has heard nothing back. Have avoided incremental updates like this as far as possible but the clock is ticking. Hopefully there will be a positive response from the club; Lee Charnley is doing media briefings this week (not with me) on the club’s accounts and I’m sure he’ll be pushed on Rafa’s future.

Cracking win another 3 points in the bag. There'll be Premiership football at SJP next season but who'll be the manager. I can see it being someone like Dennis "Shithouse" Wise sadly.
-
Tough game tonight i'd be happy to take a point but i think Lesta will be hard to beat so it's a 0-2 for me a Vardy brace
-
32 days of the season left & Rafa's still waiting on a reply from Ashley. I can see this turning into a similar situation Shearer had with Ashley were he was frozen out.

Aye Google reckons $3 billion about £2.3 billion
