But for us we dont get £50 million worth of players as we have to factor in agents fees & whole of the players contract wage bill. On that basis £50 million will probably buy 2 £10 million players it's not much really
-
It's not just about the money Ray. Rafa's stated him & his team (backroom staff) want to win trophies. He doesn't want to be just surviving in the premiership it's not enough for him
-
Hopefully we'll hear before the window opens on Thursday

Obviously Rafa's never going to get everything he wants/needs with Ashley in charge. But Rafa's now a free agent (June 30th) he says he can see the potential with the club something we've all known for years, the clubs a "Sleeping Giant" Its now a case of is Ashley prepared to write in a contract for Rafa that he shares his ambitions for the club. Will he support Rafa's dream of winning trophies again ? I can't see Rafa accepting anything less than written confirmation that Ashley shares his ambitions. We've now reached brinkmanship between Rafa & Ashley with imo Rafa having the upper hand. Are we coming to the end of a chapter were we have to say adios to Rafa ? Or will Ashley finally realise what he's got with Rafa. Knowing the bastard Ashley is I think he'll let Rafa walk away. If that happens it'll be a very sad day on Tyneside & I would hope to see Ashley get a deserved backlash from the fans & the media. So what's your gut feeling will Rafa stay or go ?

Is that Rondon giving his shirt away ?
-
He's cancelled the players holiday to Las Vegas he promised on the "Pizza Night" but he has paid the players bonus
-
Shut up you moron

Ashley said "Congratulations & thankyou very much for the season" he was congratulating the team hmm
-
Benitez post match presser... Ashley said "thanks to players we will meet next week" Ashley said "Congratulations & thankyou very much for the season he was congratulating the team" "Rondon has been a good player for us everyone can see"
-
Great win to round off the season now we wait...
-
West Brom beating Villa 1-0 at the minute. Rondons value has just gone up.
-
From today's presser... Contract talks are the same as before he still doesn't know, he'll be around on Sunday to talk He's expecting Ashley at the meeting but doesn't know if he'll be there. The China trips not ideal it's being done for commercial purposes Rondon has to wait & see what happens with me Injuries are the same Ki has a knee injury he won't be risked To early to talk about players futures Players aking him questions (about their futures) I've been waiting 8 months so I can wait another 10 days

Does anyone know anyone locally who'll frame a football shirt for me. Mrs T said she could probably do it but I'm not so sure.

Inter Milan are to make a bid for Perez after Sundays game -
He's lost half a billion pounds. Hes down to £1.9 billion
-
His future will be decided while hes in South America. He honestly wants to stay here I know that for a fact I can't say how I know but I do.
-
I wouldn't worry too much as I doubt he'll be playing for us next season. No doubt we'll see "Honest Mike" on Sky on Sunday lying to our faces telling us he wants Rafa & Rondon to stay.

Rafa asked on future and whether he spoke to powers that be: "Yes." Asked again on future: "It doesn't depend on me."

Latest form George Caulkin... Benítez is pushing for more talks this week; he has still had no substantive response to his contractual wish-list, which is less about budget or salary than guarantees the club will stick to their promises.’

One of the things Rafa wants are the training facilities brought up to scratch. Yet Charnley seemed to rule that out last week with his "did the training facilities ever put a player off signing for Newcastle United? No" statement
