For buyers it's actually mostly fine, eBay generally always side with the buyer if there's any issues and it's probably no worse than Amazon in terms of counterfeit stiff. I've had to accept a return for a guitar pedal that the buyer said "didn't fit, clothes etc" (fuck knows where he was trying to put it). For sellers it probably depends what you sell, but it's not hard to get fucked over selling on there, even if you're well versed in their policies. I get messages all the time from other sellers on the eBay subreddit, all looking to exchange their "blocked buyer" lists. Funnily enough, I don't think I've ever blocked any buyers. People are fucking strange like but an overwhelming majority of folk aren't scam artists.

@Tom I was baffled by your buyer overpaying but Craig's explanation actually seems completely plausible. For returns though you're shit out of luck if they report it as "item not as described" or damaged. Would be surprised if it's a scam though, especially if they've been on eBay at least a few years and have good feedback. Like ewerk said, get photos of the serial number. Also get a photo of the IMEI (turn it on and dial *#06# it'll pop up on screen). Since they overpaid, you've now got a bit of leeway for partial refunds if they get in touch moaning that it has scratches or scuffs they couldn't see in the photos. Honestly man, if it's any reassurance, the overwhelming majority of ebayers I've dealt with have been completely sound.

Life pro tip: if you're ever looking through old photos and feel a bit disconnected from past memories, get one of those UV blacklight torches and point it at yer sofa. Wouldn't point one at a Travelodge mattress though.

Aye, could've had an assist but Humphrys made an absolute cunt of the finish. Last 30 seconds here: https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12786147/hearts-1-0-st-mirren-scottish-premiership-highlights

I thought for a second there that firing "docking waza" into Google might be a bit risky, but I can tell you and the results were unfortunately completely boring. Nothing pornographic at all.
-
Good patter tbf but right now they're still "Snoddy and Friends" as far as I'm concerned. This lad will have to seriously turn up for me to accept a "Kuol and the Gang" moniker for Hearts.
-
I did ask tbf, and for good reason.

Cheers, just googled it, is it some kind of suppository? I'm on the nicotine gum, something for the other end might be needed to take the bulk of the work off my overworked jaw.
-
Cheers. So far so good. Must be on hour 28 at this point (not that I'm counting). Fucking bizarre how often I find myself standing up and habitually walking towards the door to go for a smoke before remembering and just awkwardly pacing about for a few minutes before sitting back down. Cheers for the pointers. Might come back to that if I start really struggling. I particularly like point two, you had me at "Drink". Weirdly for a 20-30 a day guy who's barely ever thought of trying to quit in 20 years, so far it doesn't even feel like the actual stopping will be a massive struggle so far but I'll see how the next few days pan out. Looking forward to eventually finding out exactly how fucked I am.

Aye that's me. Time will tell if it was nicotine addiction or terminal disease. This could be the year I get fat. I'm more tha happy to draw up the book.

We've still got a back boiler that I think might be as old as me (36). I'm not going to say anything bad about it, since it's behaved itself this last year or so. Used to have fairly regular problems. It is however one of the main reasons I'm looking forward to finally get this hoise.move over the line, imagine it's really inefficient and costing us an absolute fortune.

Been smoking since I was 16 man so it is possible, but fair point! Hadn't really considered that. Doc did say it's massively uncommon for folk to develop emphysema so young. > Not saying it will be easy but it is/was enough to motivate me to get off the booze. Woah! Slow down! One thing at a time man. Ah I jest. Well done getting off the sauce!

Guessing someone's picked something up on one of the half dozen chest x-rays I had a hear and a half ago when one of lungs collapsed (first in about 13 years, but had a bit of a history of them late teens/early 20's). Had a CT scan when I was 22, where you can clearly see the early signs but it seems to have been missed at the time (I'd guess because that's not what they were looking for at the time). Doctor I seen today had the initiative to go back at look at the 15 year old scan. Thought today would be a routine check in at the respiratory clinic. Ended up doing a bunch of breathing tests and then getting shown that ancient CT Scan. Binned the tobacco already. Now fighting the urge to bin-rake and have a smoke.
-
It will still progress but hopefully not as fast. Good news is it's not COPD (yet) but basically will be if I don't quit immediately. So looks like I'm going be a crabbit bastard this year. 🤷♂️ Guessing it's pretty bad if I'm already 15 years in. Not sure I'll know much more until the do a CT Scan.
-
Well, shit. Just been told I've got emphysema, which in all honesty isn't a massive surprise given how heavily I've smoked all my adult life. The surprise was learning I've had it since at least 2008. Wonderful start to the year.

Aye its a bit frustrating that even now with what we know about the police cover-up and media coverage people are still blaming fans. I suppose though having him been there and witnessed it first hand, you're dad can maybe be mostly forgiven for refusing to change his view. Bit different from folk who are willfully ignorant and delight in using it as a stick to beat folk from Liverpool.
-
Aye. I was doing back shifts in a local boozer for a second income at the time of the last Hillsborough inquest outcome. Some of the shite I heard spouted about Scousers was more sickening than some of the sectarian bile that would kill your career up here. Maybe that's just because I'm largely desensitised to a lot of the sectarian shit. Weirdly I probably came out of those few weeks having earmarked more folk as bona-fide bigots than I have in nearly 40 of living between Stirling and Glasgow and observing old firm fans. Swear I can't recall anyone disputing the outcome of that inquest that didn't resort to throwing in words like "rats", "scum" or "Heysel". What was that, ten years ago?
-
Sounds fairly typical, especially for that neck of the woods. Just for clarity, while I probably do have a pretty unhealthy relationship with alcohol I only drink at breakfast on very special occasions. Birthdays, Christmas, cars in for for expensive repairs, severe hangovers etc. Since I had kids the bulk of my drinking is done at night.

I've lived here for nearly 40 years and never been served my morning whisky in a pizza box. Now I feel like I've been missing out.
-
Well if Kuol is as promising as it sounds, Hearts are almost nailed on for top four. He'll be fine up here, Snoddy will keep him off the deep fried mars bars and pizza crunch and worst hatchet job up here he won't face until April. Not a Hearts fan by any stretch but they seem to have their shit together lately with transfers.

Wish I could understand why folk devote so much time towards getting outraged over the Harry thing. His mam was no saint, his "dad" is a bit fucking weird and his family spent a pretty insane amount of money covering for his nonce uncle. I've little to no interest in reading his side of the story but he's fully entitled to tell it. I'm far more worried about the folk who seem so emotionally invested in it all. I'd have thought most of us commoners had far bigger fish to fry right now.
-
Craig Hope now saying the Kuol to Hearts loan deal is done. Dunno who or how reliable Hope is, but if it happens I honestly don't think it will be a bad move for him, and it's only 6 months. Don't massively rate the current Hearts manager (and the Brora Rangers cup result was fucking hilarious) but their recent transfer policy has been on the money and worked well for them compared to their Edinburgh rivals. Might even go as far as saying it's been better than Rangers (and I'm not just referencing Snoddy, but there is that). Plus it's Edinburgh. Cunt can practically commute.

He's been in decent form for them from what I gather. A few eyebrows must've been risen given his age, but he's a model pro and looks a much smarter bit of business than, say Hibs taking a punt on a crocked Aiden McGeady.
-
That Gakpo lad looked pretty lively in the first half, he'll tide them over on the left until Jota and whatshisname are back fit. I dunno where he fits in after those two are fit again though. Looks a steal at the price but something about it screams "bizarre transfer policy" for them all of a sudden, emphasised with them bringing on Elliott and 17yo Ben Doak to chase a win. They've fucked it this season though not bringing in another #8. I still maintain Klopp is no tactician and has been living off Buvac's genius long after they parted ways. The well of Buvac's ideas has just finally dried up and this "pep" cunt isnt in the same league.

Nobody else massively disappointed the Dumbarton v Stirling was called off? Just me then? Was planning on heading through for a rare away day on one of the few Saturdays I get off. Bit of a shitter to see it postponed.
