The apostrophe follows the s, implying you had male company last night. All you "proper blokes" munching away on your sausages. Implying it's Sausage Fusili for Proper Blokes (plural) mong boy. Did you not see Stevie saying you were born and raised in the NW in his drunken stupour last night btw? No, that's news to me, did I go to Eton as well? Where's this, on footy or GC? Renton secretly quite chuffed, there.

Have you seen that episode of peep show where Jeremy's doing jury duty for that Gerodie lass's trial?

The man in the pub has an opinion....it's just that it usually falls down when he's tasked to flesh out an argument to support it. Thats the unspeakably beautiful difference between opinions and arguments.

How the fuck does Tubes explain what his job is if someone asks him? Is he sposed to be funny with his rap and his interview question? I like it when Fenners does his London Marathon fancy dress runner bit and then starts 'doing Gervais'.
-
Might reduce his ability to pretend he's an expert in every single field in the world ever though. Oh, and Swindon Mag was a fucking shite poster imo.
-
I think Gol 'exposed' him ??? (ie broadcast his details/photo, I'm not implying he had anything to hide) Then we never heard from him again properly. Should have just denied it was him iywmho. Who would have been able to prove/dis-prove it after all?
-
Okay, thats fair comment. Far from being my motive in asking mind. Anyways you neednt give specifics of your official job title and even if someone was daft enough to go and try to ID you then you could just deny it's you, though why that never occured to Swindon Mag has always baffled me. You can understand why people ask at least when you profess to have a working knowledge of everything-I'd say it dents your credibility when you're then so guarded about what you do do. Not that that should bother you necessarily of course.

I wouldn't even give him another year tbh. He's nowhere near good enough and although he'll come in and graft and that, I'll be pretty disappointed if we start next season with Sibierski even on the bench. Imagine how much slower he'll be in a year or two's time too. Does he even graft that much? Aye there has been occasions hes came back into our own half and stuck a foot in however for me he hits the floor with the slightest knock all to often. Also he's got the job that should take him up to retirement now and no doubt on good money. Hardly much in the way of natural incentive left-very different to the situation over the past six months where he's effectively been playing for an extension every time he's got on the pitch. If he wasn't offered a one year deal then theres something fucking ridiculously wrong-does Glenn honestly still think that Sib should still be featuring in the plans of the club for another two years hence? Muppet show behind the scenes at SJP.
-
If he wouldnt take a one year extension at his age then he should have been shown the door instantly. If he wasn't even offered a one year extension however and was simply given two years then Roedent wants showing the door. Fucking awful stuff from NUFC here. Can't help but feel it's Roeder being prophetic about his wretched prospects in the transfer market.

now there IS a question - which I'm not stupid enough to answer we ran a competition on here or NOL about a year ago and no-one got close Lets say I do work, I travel quite a bit, and I get paid what I'm worth I often wonder why people get defensive or guarded about stuff like this. I wasnt being judgemental, I was just curious. I wasn't asking what you earn either btw, I'm not arsed about stuff like that, just what you did to earn it.

He had some brass neck on him like, to carry on spouting shite after he'd been exposed that time. If anything the lies just got more and more outlandish after that. Weren't him and Li3nZ going to have a boxing match at one point to settle their differences? Wasn't that Li3nZ and Bluestar? Perhaps. I'm sure Blaydon claimed he was a boxing champ though, which might account for my confusion. I think Li3nZ's brother was a boxing champ too so they definitely discussed boxing-perhaps it was Bluestar who threatended to knock his teeth down his throat though. On a related note, I was convinced you'd once claimed to be black only for you to strenuously deny this, so perhaps my information is just completely shot to shit and I just imagine things. I remember you claiming he had claimed that. I might have done actually. I was going out with a black lass at the time and being young and a bit sensitive to racist remarks I fired up over something or other, it seemed to go over people's heads that the weemee (or something like that) avatars everyone had made of themselves showed me as being white. I used to fall out with everyone back then tbf. I fucking knew it! lol at this thread btw.

Rob-out of interest, what do you do for your beer money?
-
I remember the photo's of him 'revealing' Terry Mac as his no.2. his face at first obscured behind a football. Bandwagontastic. I also rememer an episode of Spender airing only a few days before hand with Ossie on it. Something about a striker getting kidnapped. I remember thinking how rare it was to see anything about the Toon on the telly.
-
This is all good news for Cath of course, who will no doubt be considering her options in the wake of Rob's career advice.

Duck and Cover! Random made-up stat attack! I think teachers have been emasculated because of the furor surrounding child abuse. I don't think thrashing them til they bleed is neccesarily the answer either. I notice how Rob has stopped blaming the teachers now though.... The threat of a good thrashing is normally enough. It is neccessary in some cases. Schools these days I suspect are too easy. Could be applied to underperforming pupils and staff tbh.

Ref the allegations that 'teachers nowadays' can't teach, I think thats bollocks. There have been bad teachers since the dawn of time and they've been allowed to carry on unregulated-thats now beginning to change for the better. The bigger problem these days is that the authority of the teacher is challenged by parental attitudes in the home. If a kid used to get a clip from a teacher/police officer etc (and I only mean a corrective admonishment-I'm not talking being physically beaten to a pulp) then the parent traditionally supported that action. Nowadays theyre coming into the schools, threatening reprisals ffs.

If the kids aren't in school, are the teachers obliged to be? I'm pretty sure they arent. Teachers hols = 6weeks summer, 2 weeks xmas, 2 weeks easter and 2x 1 week half terms n'est-ce pas? Thats 12 weeks. As for working during their holidays, well thats not uncommon for lots of jobs-they're still entitled to not go into work for 12 weeks of the year though. Teachers class contact time is 9am to 3pm per day. If they have to spend two or three hours a day on average over and above that doing lesson plans and marking, well that still equates to a normal 9 to 5 job. I'm very sympathetic when teachers talk about lack of resources etc as they see kids going without and that must be frustrating. I've not got much time if their issue is having to do lesson plans/work outside of class times though-I don't think theyre over burdened work wise compared to other graduate jobs. You do know that teachers don't get paid for the days they don't work right? So their wage is actually averaged out over the 12 months, minus the weeks they have off? The way you've worded that is wrong, but I understand what you mean. I understand how it's calculated and I understand that the time off is a factor thats reflected in the pay packet. However I also understand what you're implying so I'll turn the question back on you: Do you think the average teacher would trade the (on average) additional eight weeks holidays they enjoy for the pro-rata pay equivalent (ie an extra couple of grand?) I actually don't think they would. I think those holidays are a real privilige that quite simply just don't exist in any other sector and they should be conscious of that fact before making a big noise about taking work home etc. It can sound very patronising to the average person who takes work home without questioning it and accepts it as part of their job. To be honest it makes them look a bit detached from reality.
