  1. At least one of my parents siberian moskvitch (think it was more tank than car to be fair), reliant robin or early skoda, possibly all 3 were worse. when my dad left my mum he bought a ford capri so not sure the above cars were his choice.
  2. my mum and dad had a Moskvitch estate when i was a lad. it had a crank for starting the car from the front of it. (not a photo of our actual car but very similar. by which i mean the same colour)
  3. Champions League spot, i'll take that
  4. There's a Bruno G thread in the transfer forum on bluemoon (there is a separate thread for most decent players we're linked with). Saw this comment which is fairly common "Can’t help but think it’s absolutely ridiculous Newcastle may have to sell their better players when they are the richest club in world football. Just doesn’t sit right with me tbh" so it's not just you guys who recognise how unfair you have it. I'm mostly hoping ffp keeps you at bay for a while, but would prefer to rival you guys than liverpool.
  5. My wife's always been more into her cars than me. I remember she had a red peugot when we met, never really saw the attraction in cars but i did like the back seat of that peugot. After her latest write off, she's taking a break from driving though. which is lucky for everyone else.
  6. Not sure i'm gonna like the answer to this but... where do i rank in the none Newcastle United supporting members?
  7. This is outrageous for a visiting fan.... LondonBlue has earned 10 of 14 ranks, and is in the top 18% of all members! ...You all need to up your game !!!
  8. i guess that'll be why they were so keen to buy Adam Johnson from us
  9. i always thought of city as the blues until i moved down south and things got confusing. to be fair it only really got confusing when abramovich turned up. before that you i hadn't met any chelsea blues 😏 you're right about one club cities though. Leicester are just Leicester. Southampton, Portsmouth, etc. weird there's no club prefixed London. Presumeably Sunderland are just Sunderland but i'm sure you can correct me if they have other nicknames🤐 for you guys i've always heard the toon, geordies, barcodes, sometimes newcastle. i'd never knowingly heard you called united until i came here. although maybe in the odd commentary. no idea if any of those nicknames are taboo.
  10. at least CAS got your name right on page 14 section 32 of their https://www.tas-cas.org/fileadmin/user_upload/CAS_Award_6785___internet__.pdf
  11. I am from Stockport but that's Greater Manchester (but right on the border). Born in a Manchester hospital. I used to get the bus to Maine Road as a junior blue. So it was always City (hurray) v United (boo). My family carries that on as i married a red and have 2 daughters, one red, one blue. So it's ingrained. We don't preface united or city with manchester around the house, that would just be weird. I do try not to refer to manchester united as just united when here though. think this might be my second warning. i obviously fell foul not long after joining the forum. City aren't one of the football cheeks. those red cheeks are mufc and lfc with a dirty arse in the middle. those droppings on the floor below will be spurs.
  12. oh thats curious. amongst City fans it's definitely the Daily Fail. Presumed it was that everywhere.
  13. bugger. i see what i did there. don't hate me, i grew up in manchester its deeply ingrained.
  14. i reckon var should only call offside if you about a yard offside. otherwise it should be down to the linesman. there will still be the odd daft one. but no rulers. hopefully the semi automated var makes it a shit load better,
  15. is this where you saw the first, the daily fail? it was the first of 2 letters. 1. The 1st letter was to the Premier League from Arsenal, United, Liverpool and Spurs. It was revealed exclusively by Martin Samuel on 13/1/2013 in the long article in the open source link below. Samuel highlights the extreme cuntery particularly from the rags over FFP. https://archive.ph/lHREn 2. We haven't seen the 2nd letter which was from 9 Premier League clubs to CAS in 2020 but a summary of the document was leaked in advance of the CAS verdict and then substantiated in the in the CAS award document as per the extract already shown above. (this response is from bluemoon)
  16. you'd hope so. you'd also hope that a letter of this magnitude would be more than 2 pages.
  17. for all those wondering who's behind the owner investment malarkey, not the headed paper on this letter to the FA
  18. liking that final table, although think it'll be a lot closer than that
  19. Well i went to Wembley and sang yesterday, so i'm doing my best Really don't want United in the final though. The pressure isn't fun.
  20. very interesting and a big change from the 4th spot in the CL
  21. its a shame that the FA Cup and to a lesser extent the League Cup don't get a slice of the Premier League money. I think winning the Premier league nets you about 160m and finishing bottom around 100m. Take 5m out of each clubs prize money and give it to the FA Cup winners. 100m for winning the FA Cup would see its star rise again pretty sharpish. You'd see everyone try then. Won't happen though. FYI. The current three-year TV deal is worth £8.36 billion, the domestic deal is £5.136 billion and overseas £3.2 billion. Domestic deal money and overseas deal money are shared differently. The money is divided by three to leave a certain amount each season, while the overseas deal is shared 100% equally between each club. The domestic deal is split 50-25-25. 50% is shared equally, 25% is based on league position, and the other 25% is based on how often the team is on TV.
  22. Show piece finale? Look what the FA has sneaked in with the changes. How can that be a good idea?
  23. it has nothing to do with him signing for Madrid instead of us. honest. although i hope an insect lays its eggs inside his scrotum and he has to choose between living or cutting off his balls but then catching something fatal during surgery
  24. He's an over hyped Fellaini wannabe
