Premier League Finances 23/24 assembled by BlueCityBrain on Twitter

I just want top 5, but 2nd would be hilarious. Even close to Arsenal would be embarrassing for them in my opinion giving this is our worst season in a while. Anfield will be bouncing when Arsenal go there, can definitely see the possibility of any result. I think Arsenal will get torn apart. Then it's in your hands, beat a broken Arsenal and you can finish above them. Arsenal: 67 - Liverpool (A), Newcastle (H), Southampton (A) Man City: 64 - Southampton (A), Bournemouth (H), Fulham (A) Newcastle: 63 - Chelsea (H), Arsenal (A), Everton (H) Chelsea: 63 - Newcastle (A), Man Utd (H), Nottingham Forest (A) Nottingham Forest: 61 - Leicester (H), West Ham (A), Chelsea (H) Aston Villa: 60 - Bournemouth (A), Tottenham (H), Man Utd (A) My dream final table City 73 - win all 3 You 70 - draw with Chelsea and win the other 2. Villa 69 - win all 3 Chelsea 68 - beat Man United and draw with you and Forest. Forest 68 - draw with Chelsea and win the other 2. Arsenal 68 - lose to you and liverpool and bottle it to draw with southampton when needing to win ideally these results will be fuelled by some dodgy refereeing and awful VAR calls. legohead gets sacked

The funniest outcome will be if Arsenal finish 3rd in a 2 horse race. Bottle It champions for how many years in a row?
-
not sure why you guys aren't including us in these result scenarios. we're not there yet
-
sorry about that. couldn't risk dropping points so i took my eldest daughter. she's only ever seen us win. wow fancy go to 2 games a season and only ever seeing your team win. wish i had that kind of record.
-
think you need to speak to your people at Wolves
-
god i hope not. i've taken time off to go to that one. choose a different one please.
-
us too 🙂

i live near crystal palace. my neighbour is a palace fan. should be fun.

we returned about 5k tickets yesterday. a mixture of wembley losing it's gloss for a 30th visit since the takeover. it being marathon weekend. a 430pm sunday kickoff. ticket price protests ongoing. ticket sourcing protests ongoing. we still outsang them (probably due to a goal 2 mins in tbf) apparently city fans have bought nearly a million tickets for wembley in recent years. forest 70k. i thought about going yesterday but they've moved wolves to this friday night meaning i've had to book time off work and train tickets for me and my eldest. i'd usually drive but not risking being late.
-
a peaceful protest i might add. we're not scousers after all. i think a lot of this is down to PSR, etc forcing clubs to squeeze every penny out of every source. i looked at going to wembley this weekend, but to take my daughter it was going to cost over £200 for rubbish seats at a semi final. not even a final. i'm one of the many city fans in the fortunate position of having been to wembley a crazy number of times in the last 10 years. so, right or wrong, i've decided to watch it on tv instead, hopefully one day you guys will suffer wembley burnout too (just not at out expense)
-
i reckon it will be United, City and Forest Forest are wobbling but Chelsea's run in is tough and Villa have it all to do.
-
shhh... many a slip twixt cup and lip
-
there are still chats between fan groups and club. some success but still some way to go. it's slow and the fan groups might not get fully what they want but so long as there is dialog. more protests to come i'm sure. i don't have a personal issue with ticketing as i get my 6 (+2 for kids) without much difficulty. works for me. unpopular but i don't have a big problem with £71. it's steep but i reckon PL games are probably worth £100+ when you look at american sports. when i booked my 6+2 tickets at the start of the season the most i paid was £58 so not sure why they're £71.
-
He wasn't great tonight but he has 42 G/A in 42 games this season. (27 goals, 15 assists). He has 6 goals in 12 games for us. Reckon he'll be fine once ( if ) he settles into the side.
-
i'm unsure. at half time they showed that Dias clearly touches the ball before that coming together. where's he supposed to go? in any case, it's hardly clear and obvious. thank fuck for Doku. he's starting to have some important moments.
-
i meant to quote this in my reply above. doh (well it is nearly 2am)
-
there's something of a ticket war going on at city between club and fans. the cheapest ticket for Villa was £71 and fans are refusing to pay that for a midweek match. expected to fork out for wembley travel etc at the weekend too.

Beggars belief that City's APT2 case won't be heard until October 2025. The PL kicking the can down the road again?

The real United v Manchester reds - Thy choicest gifts in store

My youngest daughter is 14. I'd say that she's a decent Man United fan. But her age makes her a different kind of red. She's too young to have been shaped by their constant winning. So my point is there is probably a new breed of red on the way through. More humble (assuming any fan of any club is actually humble). Also, weirdly, she shows as much interest in the womens team as the mens. Times they are a changing. -

I don't believe that we were ever interested. We may have been used by various people to make things happen. But he just doesn't remotely fit the player profile. -
from afar, i'd have to say i agree. i can't see bruno going anywhere either. he's clearly settled, loves life there and now you get to offer CL football. reckon if he was going it would have been 2 years ago.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
LondonBlue replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
I didn't really know much about UAE or Saudi prior to the take overs. Just the standard stuff. Didn't really care. I know a fair bit more now. But still don't really care. I'll worry about me and mine and that's plenty enough thanks. What is interesting though, is what effect it is having on the ordinary Mo in the streets of UAE/Saudi. The press seem to focus on what the West thinks of the middle east. How much "better" we are, etc. But how is it effecting the youth in UAE/Saudi? Is it opening their eyes to western culture. In that respect it could be a really important step. Of course it might be the opposite. Mo public might be disgusted by the way that Joe public has vilified their culture. ho hum. -

We didn't like them before the takeover. But various high profile decisions in their favour (pre and post VAR) along with the infamous coach attack and the general scouseness of their fans have exacerbated it
