Name calling by your elders....
Dr Kenneth Noisewater replied to Geordie Boyo's topic in General Chat
My Nana's was "I'll have your guts for garters" -
If there is any truth in the Roeder/Houllier stories would they both have to be qualified? Or could Houllier go down on the paperwork as 'manager' even if Roeder was doing the day-to-day stuff with the players?
-
Can we start calling him 'Two Slags' now? Also been waiting patiently for Leazes to start a thread about this:

Hate to see players smiling, laughing or congratulating each other for winning a pen. Yellow card offence if I had my way. Pleased for Lehmann after all the stick I've given him over the last couple of years. Shite pen mind.

Newcastle United - Management plans take shape EXC
Dr Kenneth Noisewater replied to afternoonfix's topic in Newcastle Forum
The Houllier partnership was 'forced upon' the incumbent manager, Roy Evans (it was that or resign). If Houllier and Roeder are already friends, there is foundation for a good working relationship (as long as the roles are clearly defined). -

So do you think Houllier should "go upstairs" in a DOF position? I personally think it will be unlikely he would and if he came he would want to manage the team. However i would expect Roeder to be first team coach, well he better be I do not want Phil fucking Thompson anywhere near our team. 127143 Well it would seem the logical step to me. Houllier must be getting on these days is he not? Old head advising younger up and coming manager. I'd be happy with what you suggest too, but if one of them was to be DofF, surely it would have to be Houllier. 127146 Houllier as DoF, Roeder as coach sounds more likely to me too. Houllier might want to step back from the stress of the front-line, dodgy ticker iirc. 127560 So does Glenn iirc. 127602 Dodgy head. 127606 Aye, Roeder's illness was a (thankfully benign) brain tumour. -
people at work shouldnt be opening threads called "boobs" 127605 I meant .../\......\o/...'s new sig. Which will be visible in all topics he posts in.

Too much for those at work possibly?

How long was it between the July 7th bombings and the failed second wave of attacks? A fortnight?

Saw it on the news earlier on. Thought someone on here had mentioned they were going there.

American Football and Baseball can be quite absorbing if you take the time to learn their nuances. Basketball is shite though.

From todays Telegraph Interesting that Roeder and Houllier are friends. Maybe a Houllier as DoF, Roeder as coach set-up would work? Also interesting that Roeder wants to keep a hand in at both academy and senior level.

The Sven plan b: Put Owen Hagreaves on. Sit down again. Stare into the middle distance. In silence.

Going to see him in Billingham, May 5th.

There always is a cloud over Boro, made from smog. All i can say is god help England if McClaren is the next manager 126636 I wouldn't blame McLaren. In fact he seems to have a plan b (swithing between 3-5-2 and 4-4-2) and isn't scared to chuck extra strikers on to try and change a game (vs. Basle). Better than Svens vanilla 4-4-2 and like-for-like subs.

I suppose Gallas, a centre back played out of position, being voted as the best left back tells you everything about the dearth of talent in that position.

Catalina for me too. -
Who takes your eye? Trailer-trash Joy or Mexican maid Catalina

Good idea, like his thinking. Perhaps the England squad could follow this example in the two friendlies before the World Cup. Also, with our history in shoot-outs maybe we should try it.
-
Totally agree. The sheer number of games is starting to catch up with them now. Shame

I bet SMO has got his photo on ratemyboner too.

Some people need to see a fucking doctor! 126490 I don't care who they are, I aint looking at anyones shit. A 'job' for Dr Gillian McKeith perhaps?

How would playing alongside Kuyt help him?? Have you see him play? Owen by the way? 126454 Yes I have and I meant that to have a striker of proven ability alongside him would help his game as he can learn from him. Whilst their syles may not complement eachother, look at the influence Woodgate had over Bramble. 126465 Eh? Was Shearer not a 'striker of proven ability' then? Centre half partnerships have nothing to do with strikers either.
