He’s having the time of his life as are we as supporters. The support was brilliant yesterday as it always is away. It’s so annoying not being able to get tickets for games like this that are reasonable distance for me to get to. There were tickets in the Saints bit but I don’t like sitting/ standing with opposing supporters. I would find it difficult not to celebrate when we score.

Yep there are plenty of us around who remember those days. I used to love match days at SJP. Train from Monkseaton to Central Station then the walk to the ground with match day scarves round the neck and hanging from the belt. We would often be in the ground an hour or so before k.o. I think it was 50p to get into the Leazes or did I just dream that? 👍

Interesting to see how the ground looked back in the day. I started going as a 9/10 year old late 60s. I used to go with my brother who was older than me and stand near the front of the Gallowgate End before switching to the Leazes when I was about 13 and going with my mates from school early 70s.

There is hope once again and players like players like Kieran Trippier are the engine room to allow this to happen.

So happy with this result I fucking hate Villa. Sounded like we could have had a few more but let’s save them for the next two games. He is one hell of a player. I love the way he celebrates with the crowd. He seems really settled with us but not to put a dampener on things we know how things can change in the world of football.

He’s been very sharp this season and has scored some lovely goals which has added to his reputation. Long may it last.
