Do you get paid the same? When I worked at a nursing home you got the same for a night shift, regardless of whether the clocks went foward or backwards. Which I thought was a bit unfair if you were working the extra hour. I wouldn't say its unfair considering they will be paying you for the hour you didn't work. Unlucky if you don't work there long enough but as said I don't think you can call it unfair.

On the whole (excuse any pun you may get there) I don't think thats the case. I think most people (myself included) just assumed both had a go at it and if you think you know something you wouldn't question it. This thread has been very interesting but its certainly not something that has been nagging away at me to find the answer to and its not "because i don't want to think about it" its just something that has never popped into my head thinking about.
