by the way - does anyone have any stats on nolan in relation to his goals and assists from when hes played in centre midfield and up front?
-
maybe nolan doesnt fit into the new team plan that was sold to cabaye, pass and move and all that. we all know how static nolan is and maybe its felt that a forward, rather than a midfielder would be more suited to that advanced role. giving nolan a place in the team at the expense of a forward, either ben arfa or a new striker would be mad. we'll miss his leadership but id agree with selling him, especialy if we can get 3m+

when i was young and moved from first school to the middle school next door and we were told that all us younguns would visit the 'knacka-pole'. the knacka-pole was a blue pole that ran down the centre of a brick building that was open on one side. the story was that 4 of the middle schools biggest lads would grab a kid holding an arm or leg each. they would pick you up and whack your bollocks against the pole leaving you in a wimpering heap holding your crushed balls. Teachers, fellow pupils and older kids all said it was a load of rubbish. sure enough on my second day i was suddenly hoisted aloft and found that my bollocks were aimed at the knacka-pole

The way i see it - he can still improve. by how much, i dont know. iirc it was agreed by many here that rangers development was similar to carrolls development when we started our championship campaign, carroll just needed games. so does ranger.

That's more of a clubs v Uefa issue though. yes it is but fifa need clubs stadiums to host their tournaments and if uefa do nowt and say nowt (as the worlds biggest confederation) they are just as guilty.
