Gillespie would have still been a bit part player with Beckham being the first choice. Gillespie did very well for us but he was exceptionally sutied to our style playing with expansive wingers who get to the by-line and whip crosses in. Headingly is one of the best student areas I've ever been. I think so long as you are City Center for Leeds you're doing ok. Plus The Cockpit is awesome for live music. Definitely, is where i live and as city centre's go it has everything you need. Headingley, Chapel Allerton, Horsforth, Roundhay all canny suburbs n all for a few drinks/meal etc. I always liken it to Newcastle but it has more/better shops/restaurants etc but Newcastle is more aethestically pleasing and a far superior night out
