  1. Net worth of US$7.4 billion according to Forbes, and the third wealthiest man in Southeast Asia. His brother Hari is canny famous an all, he's even got his own chant. He could do Graeme Danby's job next season then. The colour of the new away strip is pure coincidence I'm sure

Not a proper chippy anywhere central mind Jewel in The Crown, fantastic curry house on Crown Street, but is always rammed so you'll be lucky to get in if you just turn up Shabaz on Rose Street is canny an all, Nazma down towards the harbour is supposed to be really good as well but not been myself. Royal Thai is good as mentioned The Globe on North Silver Street is a canny bar I like The Grill on Union Street which looks awfull from the outside but is canny if you like whisky - world whisky bar of the year 2009, you name it they've got it, from normal price up to £200 a shot Worth a trip in just to read their bar menu (a big file) As a general rule, the closer to the harbour you get the rougher the bars and there's always the pole dancing places - horrific !!!!
  4. Looks like nice dangly diamond earings he's got on mind, sets it off lovely
  5. You'd be surprised young Thomas That post first appeared on RTG btw
  6. Is he being blindfolded? Derek "Which one do you like the feel of mike?" Pin the tail on the consortium, a party game for the 21st century
  7. Didn't I read Gillette Fusion Quatro is selling his stake in that yank handball team for £330m to cover Liverpool's debt? Canadian Ice Hockey team was the story, near enough Not sure what happened with that but you'd be surprised if he was willing to sell that and plough it all into paying off LFC's debt single-handedly. It would be fucking mint if they went bust like. Ridiculous that they saddled the club with the debt for buying it. Strange world. I still don't understand how this is possible. Just like buying a house with a mortgage
  8. I actually like it, not that I'd ever wear one mind.
  9. Typical mackems, they've put it on a sign on the wrong side of the barrier, thus facing the wrong way (technically) Check the barrier and where the cars are comming from on the signs side of the road
  10. I used to think that an all, but it's not true, the foodstuffs are excellent quality, the cooked meats (ham, salami etc) are particularly good.
  11. Him and 80+ others, never had as many watchers on anything Loads of Krauts and Frogs been messaging and strangely (to me) Portugese, who I never really pictured a Les Paul type people, is that a guitarist statement
  12. Aye You ever heard of that Hufshmid blokey ???
  13. Tell me about all those porn stars you've been shagging Couldn't possibly BTW my Les Paul is on eBay if you want a gander, 4 days left, Search on Les Paul Standard 1998 Some German offered me a trade for a Hufschmid hand built - 9 string, never heard of the maker (some German/Swiss handmade blokey) but WTF would you do with 9 strings!!!!, 2 grand he reckond the thing was worth.
  14. Check the source, we're still ferked
  15. If he's written off what he's paid in so far as a loss, which the sale price seems to suggest he has, the he might. The Administrator would take over the day to day running and get a best price - which would go to Ashley, Ashley would also avoid having to put any more money in for running costs. It's a real possibility IF there's no concrete buying interest pretty soon I reckon What would happen to the players contracts? Who would pay them off, if they were paid off? I believe players are classed as football creditors and therefore come 1st in payment order But if there ain't any money, they'll get nowt like everyone else. They'd become free agents and once they did that any new owner wouldn't have any liability/contract to them ......I think That said, I'd be surprised if a player (employee) came ahead of a bank with a secured deal or HM taxman etc.

It's a real possibility IF there's no concrete buying interest pretty soon I reckon What would happen to the players contracts? Who would pay them off, if they were paid off? I would think Administration would be a good way of dodging the contracts, you hear of people not being paid from organisations in Admin all the time. If the club/administrator has no money to make the payments then people don't get paid, I would think employees are pretty far down the line when it comes to creditors, they'd have the choice of working for nowt (as a goodwill gesture !!!) or walking away, players are like any other employee I reckon, if there's no money employees get laid off. If a new buyer came along they could assume the contracts, but I don't know if they have to, I suppose a new buyer could say to the administrator we'll buy the club for x amount, but we only want to buy the non player bits (or possibly just take on the one's they wanted) - possibly, I ain't an expert I'm afraid.
  17. Old Owner "I'm going bust" New Owner "We're going bust and you owe us shedloads of cash" Old Owner "I'll give you West Ham as a payment off my debt" New Owner "OK, at least we've now got some assetts we can bargain with"

  19. Unfortunately they're funded via RBS I believe, I can't see a UK bank "pulling the plug" if it values it's branches safety (be one way to shed jobs I suppose though). If they were funded via some foreign mega-bank more chance of the refinance being in question. Whatever happens though they'll get a big hike on their interest payments I reckon.
  20. In a previous job I used to fly a couple of times a week, never bothered me at all, quite fatalistic about it all, when your numbers up etc etc Once on one of my regular trips I got a REAL white knuckle blokey beside me, he was obviously very nervous and wasn't slow to say (repeatedly) "I hate flying". As we taxied to the end of the runway I said "I do this every week, don't worry man!" I'll never forget the way he looked at me with great big gratefull eyes until I then said "takeoff's the most dangerous bit, until landing that is, landing is really a controlled crash anyway, but hey if it really really crashes, what can you do"
  21. Potentially months of due dilligence, the new owners'll definitely do it. Who know's who they'll want as amanager, who's going to produce the cash for transfers Back where we were when Keegan walked Glad he's going but timing is shite
  22. I'm really not surpirsed by the time it's taking, in fact it could be a good sign. Shearer wanted the job BUT he said himself there had to be major changes, I didn't get the impression he was in the fettle to negotiate very much, especially if it wasn't evident early on in the process that the will was there. I really can't see him being prepared to bargain for hours/days on end. I reckon a deal was done early on early in the discussions, it'll now be with the lawyers (drafting contracts and reviewing etc etc - normal shite). It's not about him anymore I wouldn't be surprised if the ongoing discussions are around the squad and the mountain of work they've got to do to get ready for life in the championship, who's going, who he'd like to keep, who he'd like to get and in (players and coaches) and what order all that stuff has to happen. Also Ego-wise, your not going to announce anything around the Champ League final, wouldn't make much of a news splash, but mebe's I'm a cynic Circumstantially - Bassong's lass told a Skunker (who lives in the same building) that "Shearer had offered him a new contract"
  23. Players without brains but who could pass accurately over 3 yards would be nice
  24. Word up north is he's going to Celtic (from Aberdeen and Hearts supporter rumour mills)
  25. World economies in meltdown and all of a sudden a flu pandemic to make people worry about something else, hmmmmmmmmmm Not that I'm cynical in any way
