  1. I never thought Mexico was in South America, I would have said Central America and been fine with (as KCG's points out) that being part of North America. That's why I suggested him. My only point was that the whole world, as was your ascertation, doesn't think it's North America. As proved by Rayvin. Anyway. Where the fuck's Fish to tell us if the suggestions were correct?
  2. Who else do ITV have now then? I'm assuming Clarke Carlisle is out for the season, which (while I don't wish him ill personally) can only be a good thing for the rest of the wafa cup games.
  3. I wouldn't say the whole world like. I've heard it refered to as being in South America, North America and Central America.
  4. I agree to an extent but the players also knew they had pretty much already done enough to stay in the league by the time Cabaye went. This season we're 9 points worse off so hopefully they will be just about sharp enough to realise that they'll need to more to ensure our position. I can't imagine they'll do more than that but I hope they'll do just enough!
  5. I have no faith in charnley as someone who's any more likely than Ashley to make a decent choice so that argument is worthless (I know you weren't making it anyway) and Carr whilst at least being at football man, still has no pedigree in this area.
  6. I've said all along that the only semi successful apointment (in terms of doing a good job football wise and not rocking the boat with them) was Hughton and he was just a happy accident. Keegan and Shearer were attempts to get the fans onside with no consideration given to what types of men and mangers those two would be. They could have never bought into how Ashley wants to play the game. Kinnear and Pardew were both cronies (I'm never going to buy the 'Mike had never met Alan before he came' shite) who could never get onside with the fans and simply weren't good managers. There's never been any real thought process other than get the fans onside or someone he knows and can control. It's now clear he's no interest in getting the fans onside anymore and has most likely run out of people who he knows to put into the job. There's been no planning because they don't have a clue who to appoint so they'll be hoping Carver can turn into another Hughton. The problem is Carver doesn't seem to have any of the attributes that Hughton had. If he stays in charge and we don't get relegated it will only be down to the teams who do go down being so bad that we only need a few more points to stay up because Carver is no ones idea of a man to lead the team.
  7. To me the whole 'we really had no idea we'd be losing Alan so we've never bothered thinking about anyone else' thing is complete bollocks. If they want to have this whole idea of having a head coach who can be changed for the next one who will buy into the same philosophy of the club and work with the same players so that they dont need wholesale changes when the head coach is changed (in some ways I suppose this would be the same idea Liverpool had with Shankley/Paisley/Fagan and Roy Evans and Ronnie Moran as coaches), you have to have an idea of who is about that could be a replacment. To say you had nothing lined up is one thing but to say there was no plans at all either makes them comlpetely incompetent or liars. Either or both is quite possible with this lot!
  8. "United know they have the option of John Carver taking charge of the last 16 games". Stellar work by the Knight Ryder again there stating the bleeding obvious. Of course it ignores the fact that we've got a single point from the games he's took charge of so far and that for the most part of those games we've looked hopeless and he's looked like a rabbit in headlights. Well and truly back in the fold the Chronicle is now!
  9. Whiplash. Excellent. Comfortably the best of the awards nominated films I've seen this year. Love a film with a load of good insults in it.
  10. If I had no hope at all I suppose I wouldn't bother with this place or Newcastle United in general. I've no hope that these cunts will do anything positive other than someday fuck off though!
  11. They are making a good fist of destroying all our hope though aren't they!
  12. I'm still surprised that Ashley appointed Charnley in that position. I really can't believe he'd have someone at SD in such a position with so little experience or qualification. I know he doesn't give a fuck about how we do on the pitch but you'd think he'd want safer hands controlling the rest of the business.
  13. We definitely risk relegation by not bringing someone in. Watching Carver stuck on his arse for almost the entire second half on Saturday confirmed to me that he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. With regards to signing a centreback, didn't Pardew or someone in one of those magnificent fans forums state that we had been looking to sign a replacement for Mbiwa but the deal with Roma took longer than expected and we didn't have the time in the summer? If that was the case how can it not be in our plans to bring someone in this month? Especially given Taylors injury!
  14. Yep. Relegation will be the harm.
  15. Thought it was poor myself. Not a patch on the best Pixar stuff.
  16. Wishing for better than Pardew isn't wrong regardless of whether the next appointment is better or not. We should certainly aspire to having a better person (in so many ways) than him managing our club. I'm sure should Ashley appoint Carver or some no mark from the past like JFK that we'll have to suffer all sorts of cunts telling us we were better with Pardew and should have been happy with what we had but they can all fuck off and die for all I care.
  17. No one ever wished for Carver though.
  18. While Pardew is a cunt and shit manager, at least he is a manager. Carver would never be employed as a manager at any other club in the top couple of divisions at least.
  19. Indeed. In which case KCG, I most definitely hope not!
  20. I've heard the Justice for Jeff thing mentioned a number of times when WBA have been on sky so the minutes applause is getting them quite a bit of press. In that respect I can't see how it's losing it's worth. For our 17th minute thing it's just a show of respect for the two lads who were murdered. I don't see how it's losing its worth although I would hope it doesn't continue beyond this season and isn't just used for any old reason in the future.
