  1. I think its my own personal antidote to Leazes kicking in. Sort of like a positive adrenalin. I keep seeing Alex's measured calm responses to LM and thinking why cant I do that when in reality Im sitting here raging at his constant depressive whining in every flipping thread. I realise he has problems and all that but if someone like Alex can enjoy the here and now then anyone can. Calm calm think happy thoughts la la la la la.... the only problem I have, is wondering where this 27m quid has gone Why does that matter when we are replacing the sold players with better ones? There is no need to pay over the odds just because other reams are doing it
  2. When would you say we last had a side this good Stevie?
  3. You sell 5 players then you buy 5 players, if the 5 players you buy are as good or better than the 5 you sold does the cost matter?
  4. That talk's just setting you up for a big fall. I hope not ... but you've got a whole lot of eggs lined up with no chickens yet. One Chicken is in the coop already
  5. Leazes worst nightmare has come true, we have spent millions on an exciting, proven goalscorer. If we don't flog Tiote,Colo or BA in the next 13 days then he's going to implode God knows what will happen if we sign anyone else
  6. you and CT. Gloomy and the grey man. You come in pairs. You're like Pinky and fucking Perky. And your like Victor fucking Meldrew ah. Never heard of him, I've got more to do, like watching NUFC play, which is how you build up knowledge and expert judgements. Obviously hasn't worked on you then

  8. I would say he has proven himself in a competitive league, consistently. Even playing in a weaker team. Come on Leazes, clutching at straws a bit now
  9. 25m quid left, can't you count ? -£5.75m for Ben Arfa -£7m for agent's fees (official publication) -£3m for Obertan -£ difference between Nolan and Cabaye's fee. Isnt it? Agents fees ? Do all the progressive clubs deduct agents fees when they back their managers ? Ref Obertan, I thought everybody was saying how great it is not to waste any money on shit footballers anymore ? Still, the final league positions on a long term basis will determine which transfer policy was best overall , wouldn't you agree ? We're discussing pounds, not players. Whether Obertan is shit is irrelevant. All the clubs recently published their total costs of agents fees, ours was near the top. All clubs are required by law to submit accounts for tax purposes so yes, to answer the side-tracking and bizarre question, all progressive clubs deduct agent fees, or their accountant would go to prison. Liverpool deducted the agents fee from the sale of Torres, when they backed their manager, did they ? This is the actions of selling clubs, NUFC have millions left from the sale of Carroll regardless. Maybe some of these out of towners might support their man now by putting their cash into the club ? Maybe you could give the club some credit for putting YOUR money to good use by making this signing it's not my money, its the money from the sale of Carroll, and there is 27m left. You buy a season ticket, it is your money. All income generated through season tickets, merchandise etc goes into the club. You contribute so its your money, understand? Anyway, you excited to see him play, from your seat in the Leazes end? Is it a good signing?

I guess taking a punt on Obertan for 3mil on modest wages is a better strategy than 12mil on Boumsong or paying Owen 110k a week.
  12. So if we had paid £20 mil for this guy and 15 for BA then we would be straight, in Leazes logic that is. Getting two class strikers for a third of the Carroll fee is fucking tremendous business however you dress it up and however much you hate Ashley. Is having spare cash left a bad thing?
  13. 100% agree, having players that want to play for the shirt and not picking up 100k a week for going through the motions. Be awesome to tie up Colo and get a cb, maybe shift Smith and Shola out too
  14. He's got his eyes closed, fingers in ears, stamping feet shouting I can't hear you
  15. I think with BA and Cisse we have replaced Carroll and added more quality so maybe that debate can be put to bed now. Great looking strike force, add the craft of Ben Arfa to that and its a pretty tasty combination
  16. Nah, Chez says that was to cover losses from the 2 years previous. This is either club commercial income for the current financial year (Virgin money money?), future player sale income or Mike Ashley's own money getting spent. I'm guessing it was more a sideswipe at Leazes' obsessive mantra than a forensic testing of where the funds have come from It was, good call. It's a bit quiet on the Leazes front now, bit like when we win games I've been out, I'm not on here all day. Are you drinking, or working ? I don't post during games, or immediately afterwards, because I'm actually at the game btw. For two or three days?

  18. Looks like £10m of the pocketed Carroll cash being spent here on a very decent player
  19. Leazes, firstly, Stevies posts are not totally blinkered and even he sees some of the positive things going on. You, well, all you do is use the same 5 or 6 phrases over and over, accuse people of being pro Ashley then fail to back it up Also you have a massive problem with anyone from outside the area supporting the club, hardly glory hunters are we. I prerty much agree with what Jaw D said earlier and also read with interest what other balanced posters write, like Chez,Alex,Jaw D etc
  20. You are the only one saying that people are so no suprises that you agree with yourself. Not surprised you forget what you have said. You sure as hell can't remember what anyone else has said so why should you remember what you have said yourself. Or was it the others again Leazes? Answer the question. Typical. Pipe down. Answer the question. Pocketing the cash etc. where is the Carroll money ? You're an out of towner, that knows fuck all. Say something, or say nothing. I know that good strikers are worth more than £3 or £4 million. apparently Mike Ashley thinks that's all they cost. BA cost nothing, does a price tag or performances make a player? so where is the money from the sale of Carroll ? Listen chum, a couple of other people have asked you this today/yesterday, and myself. YOU said we are 2 players away from being a "very good side", so do you think that your man is going to keep this side together and sign those 2 players [with the Carroll cash] or sell someone else valuable again ? Take your time, with this fairly obvious and straightforward scenario. I realise it may task your tiny brain. My man, lol, back there again are we I've said over and over if a player wants to go and we get a massive offer they will sell. Will we get an offer big enough? Dunno, I'm not a psychic. If we add a couple this window with no major outgoings that, imo, will be a good window. Even better if we tie up Collo Do you understand, or are you going to keep asking me the same thing?? so, as myself, brummiemag and Stevie {think it was Stevie] has asked you today, do YOU think that your man will go and spend this money and attempt to bring in the 2 players you think will step us up to being a "very good side", without selling any of his best core players. After all, this is YOUR words and what you said yourself. I'm trying to stay on track and be patient with you, because I realise you need educating. 1. He's not my man 2. As I said, if the right bid comes in and a player indicates he wants out then they will sell 3. Will we sign any players this window, I would like to think so but I prefer to comment on facts rather than speculate on ifs and buts Stevie talks sense and has knowledge on a vast amount of subjects you post the same Shite, constantly. I wouldn't put you anywhere near him in knowledge about nufc and football in general

  22. "anyone but Fred would do better than this". Still waiting, while people suck up to Ashley and insist he has and is doing better. So show me the league positions ? Who, anywhere has said this about Ashley? Maybe the apologists that didn't exist in the thread you started. Prove it or shut up, simple ah, you're a newcomer. That explains everything. Answer the point and provide evidence, if you want to constantly say people are saying Ashley is doing better then provide examples or admit its not true and stop saying it you weren't here 4-6 years ago, clown. You probably didn't even support the club 10-15 years ago, or even heard of it. You said Ashley would achieve champions league, where and who are pro Ashley, name names? There are a few saying credit where its due at the moment but that's mainly down to Pardew and his team plus the scouting system. You have to be big enough to give credit as well as being critical.
