CB and CF in Smith out would be ideal -
Stop cherry picking what I'm posting is nothing to do with our ex owners. You mentioned them not me. You're potty. This is a perfect example of how people make up comments and attribute them to me. I'm explaining how football clubs are successful. If you attribute that to how our football club used to be run, then that is your own comments. I hope certain people are looking. I didn't mention them or even refer to them in any way at all. The way to get success in football is the same as it has been for over 100 years. You keep your best players as much as you can, you buy quality footballers, you pay the going rate, you back your managers and you don't pocket the money from sales or divert it elsewhere, unless you are a selling club, and selling clubs are not successful on the pitch. If paying the going rate is 35+50 mil for Carroll and Torres then I would rather we didn't, which we couldn't afford anyway. As for cheap inferior replacements? Cabaye inferior to Nolan? Ba to Carroll?? I would call it well planned scouting, which has been somewhat lacking until recently. As for you keep banging on about selling players, get over it, players come players go. The rich, elite clubs have and will continue to have dibbs on the best players.FACT

I would say there is a good chunk left. I would also say some has gone on transfer fees, agent fees, wages, general running costs and maybe Ashley has paid himself back some of the money he loaned the club. I don't really give a shit about keeping track of it. If we sell and we get decent replacements does it really matter if they cost £5m or £25m?? so we are a selling club ? And you too, don't understand what being a progressive club means and entails ? As per the post from StonecoldStephenIreland, its unbelievable mate, it really is, that what he and I are saying here continues to have to be repeated over and over and over again. Every player has a price so get used to it If a rich club comes offering mega money plus massive wages to the player they will want to go, not rocket science. We are not a champions league club, we are not and have not been for years, a club that can win the league. Deal with it and move on. Every club sells players, Arsenal,Man U, Dippers, everyone. Its who replaces them that counts its actually, how much backing they give their managers as opposed to how much money is pocketed from sales, that counts. You still consider Newcastle to be a selling club and unable to act bigger than the likes of Bolton, Blackburn etc. You think the best way to judge the club is by how much they spend and not league position or the quality players they have. Why are you so obsessed Bolton,Blackburn and Stoke? Do you think any of our top players would consider a move to these clubs you keep comparing us to? The answer is NO As I said before all clubs will sell if the price is right and especially if the buying club is more appealing to the player in terms of wages and champions league/league title contenders. Do you think if City offered 100mil for Rooney then Man Utd would turn it down? errrr.....I hate to remind you but in the last few years, we have sold N'Zogbia to Wigan [now at Villa] Bassong to Spurs Duff to Fulham Carroll to Liverpool Enrique to Liverpool Given [who didn't want to leave the club and will settle back here when his career is over and still calls Newcastle "we" and is now at Villa] Beye to Villa Milner to Villa Nolan to West Ham Barton to QPR on a free transfer Do you seriously think we would not now be better off as a team and a squad if we still had most of those players, especially the ones who didn't want to leave, or had backed the managers to replace them with the cash received ? Seriously mate, how old are you ? Are you sure you have learned anything about how successful clubs operate over the years ? This is just not how its done, or ever has been done. I'm not obsessed with Blackburn etc, it's just that you and others appear to think that this is the level of NUFC, when they are half the clubs that we are at best. How many of those would get into our first 11 now with everyone fit?? Some left after relegation (Beye,Bassong,Duff) and Bassong and Beye have done more a less fuck all since leaving We all know why Barton and Nolan went Everyone on here, with the exception of you, thinks the deal for Carroll couldnt be turned down Zoggy had a strop Enrique wanted to go Out of all the above I would have liked to keep Milner and Enrique who would both be in our first 11

But he was never a 35mil player in the first place. One good season in the championship and half a season in the prem doesn't make him top player which is what you expect after spending that much. Too much weight on his shoulders that fee and combine that with the poor start he's had and constantly on the bench his confidence is shot

Thought you were Norwegian not American
-
Would be ideal in Aeris 4-5-2 formation
-
It's the style of play they have in Liverpool which doesn't fit at all, and Kenny seems clueless of how to build a philosophy around him. His teammates like to play way too fast and egosentric and provides only shite service for him, and Carroll is not a man who can do stuff all by himself. Seeing Carra pounding his shite balls to him as the only player trying to help him out is just frustrating. Hope we'll get him back. I think Cabaye could be key for him, and maybe someone like Santon and Marveaux aswell. Have you been on the sauce??
-
Tuadmeen?? Thought they were a bunch of rebel fighters in some shit hole country
-
Don't care what number he wears as long as he keeps banging them in Ants clearly loving the power trip
-
They were fucking mental to spend 35 mil on him just like Chelsea were for paying 50 mil for Torres. I wouldn't be surprised if he got loaned out soon then sold at a big loss(applies to both the above) To get the most out of him they need to centre their attacking play around him and I can't see them changing their style so he's fucked basically, may get the odd goal from set plays or in cup games. Be amazed if he breaks double figures in the prem
-
He`s pretty average and IF we can line another RB up then I wouldnt be sad to see him go
-
This is the biggest club he will ever play for, if he doesnt like it then he can fuck off
-
Can see us taking him on loan if Chelsea pay 100% of his wages and his petrol money for the drive up Seriously tho on the last 12 months even £20m seems a lot
-
I'm sure playing in front of 50000 passionate fans will inspire him instead of 15000 bitter Frenchies.
-
I assume will just be him and Ba up front. Not sure where that leaves Arfa who hasnt been getting much time anyway. Personally Id like to see how he faired on the wing. Maybe on the left with Jonas moved to the right. Not sure he drops back as much as Jonas though so that maybe could only happen if we had a new LB. Be a bit of a waste of Cabaye that but wouldn't be a bad pairing, he has the chance to do it against Swansea Could be he drops down to the midfield in a playmaking role if Tiote gets sold, and Cabaye is set to a much deeper role.
-
Abeid hasn't played and we have not even signed Maiga yet
-
Houghton signed him and he was shite from the start
-
Elliot 65, Jesus hope we don't get a keeper crisis, maybe play Perch there
-
I would, stick Santon there if needs be
-
Clearly not good enough and should be shifted in Jan but its not his fault Houghton signed him. Gotta get Colo back for next game
