  1. I don't think his talent is in doubt but his attitude is, read somewhere his agent was asking Man U for 30k a week too. He hasn't even played in the premiership yet, no wonder they told him to fuck off
  2. indeed it is, as is stating factual information. Shame you ignore it, or just don't understand it. Oh but I do understand and I am fully aware of all the facts in your posts, I am also aware of your totally blinkered view that stops you acknowledging anything good the club does due to your hatred of Ashley and, I would say, more so the fear of being proved wrong should this current transfer policy prove to be a success then your entire argument and 95% of your posts would have been in vein.
  3. Seems like a wanna be gangsta little prick and we already have Ranger. No thanks
  4. you said things for Liverpool could go tits up if they "only" finished 6th, yet appear to think 7th for us is roaring success [and failure for the last regime too, oddly]. Please explain the difference, then tell me when our transfer policy will produce better league positions than Liverpool's, before you knock the tranfer policy of Liverpool which has gave them great success for over 40 years. I did as that was their target after the investment they have made, spending over £100m to finish 6th or below wasn't their plan 6th or 7th for us, considering we were in the championship a couple of seasons ago is progress. Let's wait until the end of the season before debating whos policy has been the most successful, then we will have all the facts won't we
  5. Who won the most trophies while the Halls and Shepherd were here, us or Liverpool? I'm not scorning anything, I said if they don't achieve a top four finish they will, against what they set as their target, have failed. The yanks are sanctioning massive spending, that's their policy and they are doing it with their money Our targets for this, our second season back in the premiership, was a top ten finish. Ashley has set his stall out regarding spending and transfer policy and this has so far proved to be successful against the preseason targets that were set. Should we finish in a Europa league place, neither you or anyone else can argue that it is not progress on the last 3 or 4 years, neither can you argue our squad isn't stronger. I'm talking about progress on recent seasons not 6,7 or 8 years ago Finally, if you are going to quote me on things you think I have said please check your facts otherwise it makes you look a bit silly
  6. As opposed to sitting 6th in the premier league with a playing squad that is the best we have had in years, get a grip
  7. It won't tho, it will be a" flash in the pan " , nailed on
  8. Liverpool are going to come massively unstuck this season. They wanted C.L., that was their target after their massive investment. They now have Gerrard coming out saying he would rather win the League Cup than finish 4th, funny that. I hope City batter the scouse cunts tonight I see. If Liverpool finish 6th and we finish 8th, then we have had a better season and have a better future than Liverpool, according to you Please feel free to put up the quote where I said that, I think its in the Leazes cloud cuckoo land making things up thread. If we finish above Liverpool I would consider that a great season bearing in mind their spending, wouldn't you? I also think an 8th place finish would be a marked improvement over the last few years and give us a platform to build on, although given our position now, finishing outside the Europa League places would be a bit dissapointing, Especially after spending £10m on a new, proven striker
  9. 15 years isn't "sustained" ? And the massive growth during that time, the quality of players, the stadiums and competitions we played in, wasn't enjoyable ? What planet do you live on. Only a complete, utter idiot would scorn what happened during that time, unfortunately there are many that do. If it was then when Ashley bought it we would have been in the top 4 and have a team full of glittering names at their peak, we were not and didnt have those players, my point is when the club was sold it was nowhere near where it was at its peak
  10. Liverpool are going to come massively unstuck this season. They wanted C.L., that was their target after their massive investment. They now have Gerrard coming out saying he would rather win the League Cup than finish 4th, funny that. I hope City batter the scouse cunts tonight
  11. Do you believe that strategy was sustainable? Course it wasnt, thats why we ended up with players like Moore,Ramage,Onyewu,Sibierski etc and managers like Souness and Roeder. If it was sustainable we would have carried on signing top notch players and competing at the top, we didnt and it clearly wasnt a sustainable policy
  12. what are you babbling on about, I said I thought the strategy that we employed - that got us nearer the title than Spurs - was a good one to follow. Can't you read ? if you mean we should take a leaf out of Spurs book - and the Halls and Shepherd - by retaining our best players and backing our managers, then that is of course a good strategy, what a shame that your man fails to see this. Why don't you answer my question regarding the clubs potential future ? Spurs didnt retain Berbatov, they flogged him for £30m and didnt invest the full amount back into the team. They have since played both CL and EL football and currently sit 3rd and are NOW in a position to hang onto players like Moderic, they couldnt when they sold Berbatov. It takes a while to get into that position. The strategy used by the previous regime was unsustainable but was very successfull in the begining This is our second season back after relegation and we have the best team we have had in a long while and Europe is a strong possibility and would be a major step forward in the future of the club
  13. I never said anything about spending like Man U or Chelsea, you are rambling again My point is aimed at Spurs and the model they are following, a model that is sustainable,a model that takes time to build but ultimately brings success without breaking the bank. A good strategy for us to follow? Also, why should Newcastle United with the 14th highest revenue in world football be signing players like Sibierski,Onyewu,Craig Moore? Under Fred I believe. If we signed players like that now you would go fucking mental. The answer is simple, the club was skint and unable to compete at that time BEFORE Ashley came in
  14. you really think ManU haven't backed Alex Ferguson don't you ? You're witterings are the same as the fools who thought Souness ought to continue getting rid of the "bad eggs" because Alex Ferguson did, and it meant he would emerge as the new triumphant and victorious Fergie I'm talking outside Man U,Chelsea and City, none of which compete in the real world due to their wealth. Liverpool have made massive investments this season and stated champions league as success which now looks pretty unlikely. Arsenal and Spurs operate a similar model to each other and both are reasonabley successful. I never mentioned Souness,Bad eggs or Man U. I did mention Spurs, now third, played champions league and Europa league selling players for big money and not spending it all, sadly you didn't adress that point Do you think the Spurs model is a successful one?
  15. Spurs sold Berbatov to Man U for £30m, they didn't replace him with a £30m player. They flogged Keane to the scousers for £20m They have built steadily over a period of time and have been in the champions league and Europa league and are sitting 3rd in the table. That is the only way to compete in todays game, bulid slowly, which will involve selling certain players along the way but the key is replacing these players with quality. The other alternative is to mortgage the club and hope its enough, if not your fucked
  16. Operating in the budget that it did previously? Spending shit loads of money it never had, paying £100k a week wages and racking up an unsustainable debt, great short term plan but will ultimatly end in tears and substandard players when the cash dries up as was evident towards the end of the previous regime
  17. Tbf though you bang on about him spouting the same old shit etc. but you more or less stalk him on here at the same time. I'm not arsed by the way, just an observation It's hard to avoid its the same in every thread, I know I should just ignore him but I bite
  18. In most peoples logic Tom but Leazes doesn't see it that way. The more £'s spent the better How many of your 1,438 posts have had something to do with Leazes? I'm going to guess it's around 1,438. How many of your posts are complete bollocks? Most I would say. If I'm replying in a thread where he is talking his usual crap then I will say so
  19. According to you in Ashleys pocket but I'm still waiting for the proof The team is better than it was so not sure what your hang up with the money is. where is it ? And why is he not backing his manager with the money ? This is kids stuff. Just spent £10m on one of the best strikers from the German league to team up with BA, who together cost one third of what Carroll was sold for. Good business by all accounts and most people agree although this doesn't fit your agenda
  20. In most peoples logic Tom but Leazes doesn't see it that way. The more £'s spent the better
  21. He couldn't have taken his old bird to Milan, she's probably banging Kanu now
  22. It's going to be 2 from Ben Arfa,Jonas,Marvaux and Obertan when they are all fit. Ben Arfa and Jonas get the nod from me in the current set up obviously with the Dembas up front
  23. supporting Newcastle and going to games isn't exactly on your portfolio, so you would be better off going back to your corner. I was stating a fact that is clearly backed up by nearly all of your posts. So either post stuff that people want to read or adds to the quality of a thread or STFU
