If other players wasted the same sort of chances people would be livid. As well as the ball he cut back totally unaware of no player being there. But my point isn’t to criticise Isak though, but to point out that it is foremost not down to single players being responsible for results but a team having to work as a unit, something we didn’t do in recent games. I am pretty confident that the coaching staff is capable to work on this though. We will probably also see a much better understanding and partnership between Bruno ans Tonali soon.

It’s rarely good to single players out anyway. Isak has been poor as well in recent games too. Trippier is well off his best as well especially with his set pieces. I can’t think of a single player who should avoid criticism at the moment. As well as individual performances are a concern but the most worrying thing is that we aren’t working as a team. The break hopefully will do us good and help to regroup and refocus.

Willock will be out for another six week according to Craig Hopeless who has started shit stirring.

I thought we would get 6-7 points, so I sm very disappointed. We actually dropped points last season too so there is still plenty to play for and a repeat of ladt season wasn’t very likely anyway. I just do want better performances.

People shouldn’t overreact though. Our run of games for the rest of the year is quite decent. We just need to get our act together. Being in a group in the Champions League where we aren’t expected to progress isn’t too bad either as there will be little pressure to achieve miracles. Performances will have to get better though.

We don’t need to worry about other teams being interested if he doesn’t get his act together.

Eddie is probably a bit too loyal to underperforming players. I can’t see many changes for the next match with players like Bruno being away on international duty. But it is going yo be interesting to see how Eddie copes with the dense schedule in the next couple of months.

I find it strange that we played well in the first game but totally lost focus and confidence then. Our passing is awful, the work off the ball second rate and we waste good opportunities. We definitely have to change something to give some players a kick up their back side. I would bring on Anderson either for Almiron and shift Joelinton to the left wing or either for Joe or Bruno. We can’t complain about the score line and will be lucky if we manage a draw tbh
